Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Florida. Miami to be exact. Finally a big city that I have been to other than New York and Chicago. So anyway yesterday afternoon I received a call from a travel agent who's client was in town for the holiday weekend and wanted to see a show while they were here. Their choice? Why none other than Broadway's hottest show The Book of Mormon. Now since the show was only two days away they knew that getting tickets might be difficult. Not only that but they needed nine tickets. Luckily for them I was able to find them tickets. Now were they all together? No. I was however get them all in the Orchestra with only one person having to sit by themselves. Plus I was able to get them all at a price that was lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Ohio. Toledo to be exact. Earlier this morning I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in May and wanted to see Lucky Guy starring two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks. A very hot ticket in case you didn't know. Now due to it's star and the fact that the show is a limited run the customer knew going in that getting tickets might be difficult. True. But not as difficult as you might think. There are tickets out there. It really just depends on how much you want to spend. Thankfully price wasn't an object so after a little research I was able to find two seats in the fourth row center of the Orchestra. Not only that but I was able to get them for a price that was lower than they has seen elsewhere. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Now Is The Best Time To Come To New York And See A Show

No plans for Easter weekend? Nothing to do on a Saturday night? Well my friends have I got the solution for you. Why not come to New York and see a show. Yes I know it''s cold outside. Plus what better way to warm up then by seeing some of Broadway's hottest shows. Now more than ever New York is home to some of the most exciting and innovative plays in musicals in years. Now to be honest when I first moved to New York over twenty years ago musicals were my favorite thing to see. However in the last few years it has been the plays that have really impressed me the most. What can I say? I just love a good drama. Having said that I have been pleasantly surprised by some of the new musicals as of late.

Yesterday I posted a blog about Motown and posted another one about Matilda the week before that. Plus you have Kinky Boots which is getting great word of mouth as is the new revival of Pippin. Now for those of you play lovers like me there are plenty of great shows to choose from as well. There is Lucky Guy starring two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks which opens next week. Then you have Bette Midler starring in I'll Eat You At Last:A Chat With Sue Mengers. Interesting title don't you think? Add Alec Baldwin in the revival of Orphans and Tony winner Alan Cumming in a one man version of Macbeth and you have a season that is sure to please everyone.

Now maybe theatre isn't your thing. That's right sports fans. It's only five days away until opening day for the Mets and Yankees. How about basketball? Being a huge New York Knicks fan I can't wait until the playoffs. See that's the great thing about New York. There truly is something for everyone. Plus here at Applause we sell everything. Not only that but we are open seven days a week. 365 days a year. That means we are always here to help with all your ticket needs. So why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did?

Run Don't Walk To See Motown The Musical

Well if you can't guess by the title of my blog I saw Motown The Musical last night. Did I love it? You better believe I did. Do I think it's going to do well at the box office? Well considering the show did over a million dollars in tickets sales last week I would say that Motown is here to stay my friends. Going in I knew all the songs of course. Most people that see it do as well. They are classics after all. Plus based on things that I had previously read I already knew a lot about Barry Gordy too. Now is it the best thing that I have ever seen? No. Was it fun and entertaining? You bet it was. And isn't that what theatre is supposed to do after all? It was last time I checked. By the way for those of you who are looking to purchase tickets to see Motown you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to the show but to every show both On and Off-Broadway. Get your tickets to see Motown The Musical on Broadway. You will love it. I know I did. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Lexington, Kentucky. Yesterday morning I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to London in May and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were there. Their choices were Jersey Boys and Les Miserables. Two good choices in my opinion. So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit. Now you would think that since Les Miserables has been playing for over twenty years that it wouldn't be a problem getting seats. Well that might have been true a few months ago. Then the movie came out and just like that the show became popular once again. Luckily I was able to find them some excellent seats in the center Orchestra. Not only that but I was able to get all eight seats together. One show down. One to go. Now while Jersey Boys is still a big seller it is a little easier to get than most. Once again I was able to get them great seats in the center Orchestra. However this time they only needed five tickets instead of eight. It turns out that three of them had already seen it. Oh well. I'm sure they will find something else to occupy their time. It is London after all. So there you have it folks. Two great shows and I was able to get them for a price that was lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

The Book of Mormon To Open Tonight In The West End

Travelling across the pond and want to see one of the funniest shows to hit Broadway in years? Well you have come to the right place. The Book of Mormon which won nine 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical of the Year is set to open tonight at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London. Now believe it or not but I have never seen the show. Not that I'm sure it isn't great. It didn't win all those awards for nothing after all. Now while we are invited to see almost every show we didn't get an invite for this one. I take that back. We were invited early on in the run but of course I couldn't go. Oh well. I'm sure I will see it someday. I mean it's not like it's not going to be here for a long time. Now how The Book of Mormon will do in London is anyone's guess. I would assume that it will do very well but you never know with the Brits. We shall see. By the way for those of you looking to purchase tickets to see The Book of Mormon you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show and event in London. Get your tickets to see The Book of Mormon in London. Good seats are now available so call now.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Delaware. Rehoboth Beach to be exact. A couple of days ago I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a last minute trip to New York and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. Their choices were Wicked and Cinderella. Both perfect shows for girls. Just in case you are wondering this new production of Cinderella is not the Disney version but the one written by Broadway legends Rodgers and Hammerstein.

So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where that wanted to sit. Now since both shows were only a few days away they knew that both shows might have limited availability. It is Spring Break after all. Anyway after a little research I was able to find excellent seats in the Center Orchestra for Cinderella. One show down. One to go. Since they picked a Saturday night for Wicked there was less availability.

However I was able to find a few seats in the side Rear Orchestra that believe it or not are a still a full view. In fact the only partial view seats are in the first few rows of the Orchestra and with those the only thing you really miss are any entrances and exits. So there you have it folks. Two very popular shows and good seats to boot. Plus I got them at a price that was lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Connecticut. New Canaan to be exact. Yesterday I received a call from one of my regular customers. She had actually called a month earlier looking for tickets to Annie in April. However I advised her that if she waited a little bit that not only would I be able to get her very good seats but for less than our normal retail rate. Cut to a few weeks later and she called checking to see if the "Insider Price" had extended. Not only had the discount extended but it ended up being less than I had originally quoted her. When all was said in done I was able to get her all five tickets together in the Center Front Mezzanine. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

This Year's Tony Awards Set To Return To Radio City Music Hall

Great news theatre fans. After two years of being shut out you will finally have a chance to attend this years Tony Awards. The show which played the last two years at the much smaller Beacon Theatre will return to Radio City Music Hall this year where it belongs. Now while I would prefer that the show was in a Broadway Theatre I can understand why the show is at Radio City. It allows the fans to experience it live and in person. I myself have never been. To be honest I prefer to watch it on television. Who knows? Maybe I'll go one day. This years Tony Awards will air live on CBS On Sunday June 9, 2013. Save the date. I know I will. Until next time theatre fans.

Matilda The Musical On Broadway On Broadway is A Must See

Now I'll admit that I was not looking forward to seeing Matilda The Musical. Yet there I was last Saturday night in the Balcony of the Shubert Theatre. In fact if the ticket hadn't been free chances are I would probably never get around to ever seeing it. For any of you who have read my previous blogs know that big budget shows like Matilda are just not my cup of tea. Plus the fact that the show has so much hype behind it made me want to see it even less. That is why I never saw The Producers and was why it took me years to see Jersey Boys or Billy Elliot.

Now of course when I finally got around to seeing those shows I regretted waiting so long. Who knows? Maybe I would end up liking Matilda. Stranger things have happened. Well as it turns out I loved it. Although if I'm being really honest I will say that I didn't like it at first. In fact I actually started to fall asleep during the first fifteen or twenty minutes. Then something happened. Or should I say someone happened. As soon as Miss Trunchbull appeared I was hooked.

From that moment on something happened and by the end of the evening I knew that I was witness to one of the greatest shows that Broadway has ever seen. Pretty big statement from someone who didn't want to see it in the first place. I even told my coworker that seeing Matilda had reaffirmed my belief in Broadway. I mean if a show like Matilda can't make it then there is no hope for the future of Broadway. Of course we all know that it's going to be a huge hit. There is no denying that. Now how many Tony Awards it wins this year is a different story.

Oh sure it will win a few. However there is still a few more weeks until the Tony deadline and there are still quite a few more shows to open before then. At this point it's anybody's ball game. By the way for those of you looking to purchase tickets to see Matilda you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show both On and Off Broadway. Get your tickets to see Matilda The Musical on Broadway. You will love it.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the Buckeye State. That's right. I am talking about the great state of Ohio. Dayton to be exact. This past Friday I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to London and wanted to see a few shows while they were there. Now normally that wouldn't be a problem. However on this occasion their show dates were only days away. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Luckily they picked shows that while popular were not as difficult to get at the last minute. Trust me if it had been something like Matilda or The Audience I doubt I would have been able to get them tickets. Anyway the shows that they wanted to see were Spamalot,People, and Singing In The Rain. Now even though they were very particular about their seats I ended up getting them excellent tickets for all three shows. Not only that but I got them at prices that were lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Russell, Kentucky. Last week I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York during Memorial Day weekend. The shows they wanted to see were Spider-Man:Turn Off The Dark, Wicked and The Lion King. Now out of those three shows that only one that I have seen is Wicked. I take that back. I did see the first act of The Lion King and the first forty-five minutes of Spider-Man. I guess you could say that I didn't like them huh? But enough about me. Now since there was eleven people in the party they knew that they probably wouldn't be able to sit together. Thankfully they didn't mind so I ended up getting them excellent seats right in front of each other for Wicked. One show down. Two to go. For the Lion King I was able to get all eight seats together in the Center Orchestra. Now wait a minute. Didn't I say there were eleven people? Yes I did. However only eight people wanted to see The Lion King and three people wanted to see Spider-Man. Nice to know there are still some people out there with good taste left in this world. So there you have it folks. Three very popular shows and at amazing prices to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Newsies On Broadway

Still haven't seen Newsies yet? While there is no better time than the present. The show which opened to rave reviews last Spring continues to delight audiences of all ages eight times a week at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway. Now while I personally have never seen the show I have heard nothing but good things about it. From it's catchy score to it's dynamic choreography Newsies should remain a Broadway favorite for years to come. By the way for those of you who want to purchase tickets to see Newsies you have come to the right place. Good seats are now available for all performances. Be advised that while this "Insider Price" is good from March 18-July 7 it is for select seats and as always subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Newsies on Broadway. Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Massachusetts. Framingham to be exact. This past Friday I recieved a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in May and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. I take that back. She wanted to see three shows and they needed six tickets for all of them. Not only that but they wanted to sit in the first ten rows of the Orchestra in the center. No problem right? So anyway their choices were Matilda The Musical, Once, and Nice Work Of You Can Get It.

Two award winning musicals and one that most are already predicting will take the top prize at this year's Tony Awards. Now even though they were somewhat specific about their seats I managed to convince them that the best seats for Matilda are actually in the Front Mezzanine. Trust me. I've been in that theatre many times and I have always sat in the Mezzanine. Plus I got them for a non-premium rate. Well they loved that. One show down. Two to go. Now while I may prefer to sit upstairs for most shows I actually agreed with them when it came to Once.

For one it is a small theatre but it is also a very intimate show. When you are up close you truly feel like you are part of the action. When all was said and done I was able to get them excellent seats in the fifth row center of the Orcheastra. Two shows down. One to go. Last but not least was Nice Work If You Can Get It. Now normaly seats in the first eight to ten rows in the center are considered Premiun seats. However for this particular show the center seats were being sold at a regular rate. So there you have it folks. Three great shows at amazing prices to boot. Who says you can't great deals during a holiday weekend? Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of New York. Putnam Valley to be exact. One of my first calls yesterday morning was from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to London in August and wanted to see a show while they were there. Nothing like planning ahead I say. Especially when the show they want to see is the most popular one. Care to guess which one I am talking about? Why it's none other than Matilda.Which by the way one won the most Olivier Awards in history. That's the British equivalent of the Tony Awards in case you didn't know. Anyway now that I knew what she wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit. Now since they needed nine tickets they were willing to split up in order to get better seats. Luckily they didn't have to do that as I was able to get them excellent seats in the Center of the Dress Circle. That by the way is just a fancy name for the Front Mezzanine. Not only that but I got them for a better price than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?
