Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Hawaii. Wailuku Maui to be exact. Now there's one state I wouldn't mind visiting. Anyway this past Saturday I got a call from a travel agent who's client was heading to Las Vegas next week and wanted tickets to see Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode? Now that brings me back. So now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out where they wanted to sit and more importantly how much they wanted to spend. Since they were big fans they of course wanted the best seats no matter how much it cost. I wish we had more customers like that. When all was said and done I found then great seats in the center not that far from the stage. Not only that but I was able to email them the tickets the same day so they didn't have to pay a shipping fee. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great of Alabama. Birmingham to be exact. Last week I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in November and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. Their choices were Motown and the Jersey Boys. Now based on their two selections I am guessing that they are fans of music of the 60's and 70's. Makes sense right? So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they would be here. Now since they were only going to be here for a couple of days they only had a small window to see both shows. Plus because they were going on a weekend there would be less availability. Well as it turns out that didn't matter as they were looking for Premium seats for both shows. Which in case you didn't know are more expensive than regular seats but of course much closer to the stage and center. Now I personally don't like to sit that close when I go to the theatre but that's me. I'm a Front Mezzanine type of guy. But enough about me and where I like to sit. Anyway after a little research I found some great seats in the Center Orchestra for both shows and all together it all came to a little over fourteen hundred dollars. Yes I know that sound like a lot for four tickets but you get what you pay for I guess. So there you have it folks. Two great shows with amazing seats to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

See Broadway's Rock Of Ages For Less This Fall

Still haven't seen Rock of Ages yet? Well what are you waiting for people? It's only been playing for almost five years. I myself have seen it over a half a dozen times so what's your excuse? Now for those of you out there who still haven't seen it I have good news my friends. Now is the best time to see this amazing show. I mean who doesn't love the music of the 80's? I know I do. Plus at only 500 seats every seat in the theatre is good. How many theatres do you know that can say that? Be advised that while this "Special Offer" is good thru December 22 it is not valid for Saturday evenings and like always subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Rock of Ages on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre. You will love it.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from New Zealand. Yes believe it or not but I do sell tickets to people from other countries too. Every customer story can't be from Texas or Canada. So anyway yesterday afternoon I received a call from a young lady who wanted tickets to see Romeo and Juliet with Orlando Bloom. I told her that should not be a problem and asked her how she found us. She said she had just purchased the NY Pass which gave her a discount on theatre tickets. Now for those of you that are not familiar with the pass it gives you a discount for over one hundred places and events in New York City including tickets to the theatre. Sounds like a great deal don't you think? Since she was only a couple blocks away I suggested that she come up to the office that way I could show her the layout of the theatre and find out where she would like to sit. She loved that idea and five minutes later she and her friends were standing in front of me ready to purchase tickets for the show. After finding out when they wanted to go I suggested that the better seats in that theatre are in the Front Mezzanine as the first row overhangs very close to the stage and having seen the show you get a much better overall view of all the action. They agreed and when all was said and done I got them some great seats in the Center Mezzanine and at a price that was lower than they has seen on other sites. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the "Great White North". That's right my friends I am talking about Canada. Cold Lake, Alberta to be exact. Yesterday afternoon I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in November and wanted tickets to a couple of shows while they were here. Yes that's right. We are open on Sundays. Saturdays too. So anyway after finding out when they would be here I asked the agent what they wanted to see. Their choices were Annie and some band called the Florida Georgia Line. Don't feel bad. I haven't heard of them either. Now since Annie has been playing for awhile I knew I would have no problem getting them great seats and also at a great price as well. Well as it turns out they weren't so much concerned with the cost as they were with the seats. In fact the agent told me that "price wasn't an object." I wish all of our customers were like that. When all was said and done I ended up getting them excellent seats in the 7th row center of the Orchestra. Well they loved that. One show down. One to go. Now for the concert they not only wanted great seats but they also wanted a meet and greet with the band afterwards. I guess they are big fans huh? Once again I got them great seats and it ended up being less than they thought. So there you have it folks. Two shows with great seats to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Florida. Ocala to be exact. Last week I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in December and wanted to see two shows while they were here. Their choices were Matilda and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Now while I have never seen the Christmas show I did get the chance to see Matilda during it's preview period. To be honest I thought that I was going to hate it. After all it is a children's show. At least that's what I had been told anyway. Thankfully I somehow managed to talk myself into it and decided to give the show a chance. It was a free ticket after all. Well all I say is I am so glad I did. I loved it. In fact I would rank it up there as one of the best shows that I have ever seen. Yes my friends it was that good. Now enough about my love for Matilda. Back to today's customer story. So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I asked the agent when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit and of course how much they wanted to spend. Now since they were only going to be here for a couple of days I suggested that they see Matilda on Friday as that was when they had the better seats at the lower price. One show down. One to go. For Radio City I told them that if they were willing to go to an earlier show that not only would the seats be good but also at a lower rate. Well they loved that. So there you have it folks. Two great shows and great seats and prices to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Broadway's Chicago Celebrates Milestone

That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's longest running shows is making history again. Chicago, which opened on Broadway in November 1996 is set to celebrate it's 7,000 performance on September 24. When it does it will become only the third show is history to achieve that honor. Hard to believe that it's been almost seventeen years since the show first opened. Now while I loved the show when I first saw it I never expected to still be talking about it all these years later. Yes here we are in 2013 and the show is going just as strong as ever. Who would have thought? By the way for those of you still looking to get tickets to see Chicago you are in luck. We sell tickets to the show. Well that and every other show on Broadway. Be advised that while this "Special Offer" is good thru December 22 it is as always subject to availability. Les Miserables To Return To Broadway This Spring

You've seen the movie. Now see the show. Yes we all know that the show came first. However there is no denying that one of the main reasons the show is coming back is largely due to the success of the film. Believe it or not but I have never seen the show. Well not all the way through anyway. It's funny but growing up I loved listening to the cast recording of the show. Cut to almost fifteen years later I finally got around to seeing it and I was bored to tears. Although in their defense the show had been running for a long time by that point and I'm sure some of the actor's were probably tired of it too. You know what? Forgot I said that. I saw the most recent revival too and I was bored by that too. Maybe I just don't like the show or maybe I would rather listen to it instead of seeing it.

Who knows? Maybe the third time will be the charm and I will stick around and see the whole thing. Stranger things have happened. The show which last played the Great White Way back in January 2008 is scheduled to begin previews at it's former home the Imperial Theatre on March 1, 2014 with opening night set for March 23. By the way for those of you looking to purchase tickets to see Les Miserables you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show both On and Off-Broadway. Not only that but we are open seven days a week. 365 days a year. That means we are always here to help with all your ticket needs. Get your tickets to see Les Miserables on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the Buckeye State. That's right. I am talking about the great state of Ohio. Cincinnati to be exact. On Monday I got a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was planning trip to New York and wanted to see a show. Not surprising as most people that come to New York see a show while there here. What is surprising is that I wasn't even supposed to be at work that day as I had Jury Duty. However since I recently moved to the Bronx and the courthouse was in Manhattan I couldn't serve. Oh well. I'm sure my new summons to serve in my new Borough will arrive soon. But enough about me. On to today's customer story. So after finding out when she would be here I asked the travel agent what she wanted to see.

Her first and only choice was Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays. Which is returning to Broadway this fall at the Imperial Theatre. The show which first premiered in 2005 and won the Tony Award for Best Theatrical Achievement is scheduled to begin previews on November 5 will play thru January 2 for a total of fifty-four performances. So now that I knew what she wanted to see I needed to find out if I could get her tickets. It is a pretty hot ticket after all. After a little checking around I was able to find some very nice seats in the Center Front Mezzanine. Pretty incredible considering it was the day before Thanksgiving. Not only that but I got them for a price that was lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Today's customer story comes all the way from Birmingham, Alabama. This past Thursday I received a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was coming into New York in December and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. Their choices were Rock of Ages, Fuerzabruta, and The Book of Mormon. Three good choices but very different. Now of those three shows I have only seen one of them. Care to guess which one? Why Rock of Ages of course. Which I saw five times by the way. I guess you could say I liked it huh? So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they would be here. Well wouldn't you know it but they were coming during one of the busiest times of the year. That's right. Two days after Thanksgiving. Now since they were pretty flexible with their dates I suggested that they see Fuerzabruta on Saturday night and see the other two on Monday and Tuesday when the theatres are not as packed. Luckily they agreed with me and I was able to get them excellent center seats for both Rock of Ages and The Book of Mormon. Plus because Rock of Age has been playing for a few years I was able to get them tickets for less than our normal retail rate. So there you have it folks. Three great shows and great seats and prices to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To Aladdin On Broadway

Well it looks like Disney strikes again. I mean come on. You knew they were eventually going to do a stage version of Aladdin eventually didn't you? I mean let's face it you didn't think that they were going to let that big theatre of there's sit empty forever now did you? The show which is based on the 1992 Academy Award winning film will begin previews at the New Amsterdam Theatre on February 16, 2014, with opening night scheduled for March 20.

Now for those of you who read my blogs know that I am not the biggest Disney fan in the world. Therefore I have never seen the movie nor will I ever in this or any other lifetime. I'm just not a Disney type of guy. Having said that I do believe they have a place on Broadway as without them most children would never get the chance to experience the magic of theatre. For that they should be commended.

But enough about what I think. You came here to find out how you can get tickets to see Aladdin on Broadway right? Well good news. We sell it. Well that and every other Disney show on Broadway. Yes that means Newsies and The Lion King too. Not to mention every other show both On and Off-Broadway. That's right theatre fans. We sell it all and then some. Tickets for the show are scheduled to go on sale this fall so make sure to check back here when they do. Get your tickets to see Aladdin on Broadway at the historic New Amsterdam Theatre. Until next time Disney fans.

Tickets To Cabaret On Broadway

One of my favorite theatrical experiences was seeing the last revival of Cabaret on Broadway. Not only did I get to see the first preview performance but I must have seen it over a half a dozen times during it's five year run. Now you may ask yourself how did I afford to see the show so many times? Well as it turns out I was the assistant manager in the box office. Which meant I could pretty much see the show whenever I wanted. I must have seen over a six or seven Sally Bowles during my three years that I worked there.

Now for those of you that weren't lucky enough to see the show the show you are in luck. The show is set to return to the Great White Way this Spring. Not only that but the show is playing once again at Studio 54 where it played to sold out audiences for over three years. Wait. I gets better. Alan Cumming, who won the Tony Award in 1998 for Best Actor in a Musical will be reprising his role as the Emcee. Joining him is three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams as Sally Bowles.
Now does it get any better than that? I don't think so.

Returning once again as Director is Academy Award winner Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall who will co-direct as well as choreograph the show. Performances are scheduled to begin on March 21, 2014 with opening night set for April 24. Now as of now the show is only scheduled to run for twenty-four weeks. Of course that's what they said the last time and that production ran for at total of 2,377 performances. We shall see. Tickets for the show are set to go on sale in the coming weeks so make sure to check back here when they do. Get your tickets to see Cabaret on Broadway at Studio 54 this Spring. Expect the show to be a big contender at next years Tony Awards.

Rocky The Musical To Open On Broadway This Spring

Rocky The Musical? What will the think of next? Now if I'm being honest I have seen some clips of of the show and it looks pretty good. Granted the show was in German but still if it ends of being as good as it looks on the video we might just have a hit on our hands.

The show which opened to rave reviews in Germany last November will begin previews at the Wintergarden Theatre on February 11, 2014 with opening night scheduled for March 13. Now for those of you who have been living under a rock for the past thirty-seven years and have never seen the movie here is a description of the musical from the shows official website. Enjoy!

In 1976, an unknown actor wrote and starred in an independent movie about a struggling but indomitable Philadelphia boxer who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to go the distance. An underdog story both on-screen and off, Sylvester Stallone's Rocky went on to win the Academy Award® for Best Picture and touch the hearts of millions.

Now, that iconic film has inspired an innovative new stage production, brought to extraordinary life by a five-time Tony Award®-winning creative team, including director Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher), book writer Thomas Meehan (The Producers) and songwriting team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime).

Both an adrenaline-infused spectacle and a surprising tale of blossoming romance between two lonely outsiders, ROCKY is a visceral and heart-stopping theatrical experience for everyone brave enough to follow their dream.

Now I don't know about you but I wan to see it even more. How about you? Tickets for Rocky The Musical just went on sale today and I'm sure if word of mouth is any indication I expect to sales to be through the roof. Let's hope. Get your tickets to see Rocky The Musical at the Wintergarden Theatre. I can't wait. Until next time theatre fans.

I can't tell you how happy I am that Billy Crystal is coming back to Broadway this fall. Now for those of you who haven't heard already everybody's favorite Oscar host is set to return to the Great White Way in 700 Sundays. The show which won the Tony Award in 2005 for Special Theatrical Event is set to begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on November 5 for a limited engagement of only fifty-four performances. The last time the show was here I missed it and I have been kicking myself ever since. I won't make the same mistake twice. Now for those of you who are not familiar with the show here is a brief synopsis of 700 Sundays from the shows website.

This autobiographical journey is an original two-act play in which Billy plays numerous characters that have influenced who he is today. It deals with his youth, growing up in the jazz world of Manhattan, his teenage years, and finally adulthood. It is about family, and fate. It is hilarious, personal, and touching as he takes us through moments of love, laughter and loss.  By the way for those of you looking to get tickets to see the show you have come to the right place. Shakespeare Is The Thing This Season On Broadway

Now believe or not but in all the years that I have lived in New York I have never seen a play by William Shakespeare. I know right? I've seen practically everything else but not one play by one of the world's greatest playwright's of all time. Luckily I have several chances this year to rectify that. As of now there are four different Shakespearean plays set to open this season. Now last time I checked there has never been more than one or two at the most in one year. But four? That is unheard of theatre fans. The shows scheduled to play the Great White Way this season are Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and a double bill of King Richard The Third and Twelth Night playing in repertory. Quite a selection don't you think? Of course the big question is which one will you see? Why not see them all? Now while all of them are limited runs there is time to see them all if you plan accordingly. Here are the performances dates for each show.

Romeo and Juliet

Macbeth

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Carolina. Raleigh to be exact. This past Friday I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in December and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. Their choices were Wicked, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Three great choices don't you think?

So anyway after finding out what they wanted to see I needed to find out what dates they would be here and of course where they wanted to sit and how much they wanted to spend. Well as it turns out the they were coming to New York during the first week of December which as most of you know is one of the busiest times of the year. Besides the annual lighting of the tree it is also one of the most popular shopping weeks of the year. Not only that but they also needed ten tickets for each show. Not too difficult right?

Now luckily for them they wanted to go during the week so they were hoping that better seats might be available. They were right. When all was said and done I was able to get them great seats in the Center Orchestra for both Radio City and Spider-Man. Not only that but I was able to get them for a price that was lower than our normal retail rate. Now even though Wicked is still one of Broadway's most popular shows I was once again able to get them great seats and for a rate that was less then even I was expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

A Day In The Life Of A Ticket Broker

So here I sit at my desk on a somewhat muggy and overcast Sunday in September trying to figure out something to blog about. Now as most people know September tends to be a rather lackluster month here in the big city. The kids are back in school and most shows see a dip in sales at least until the middle of October or even later for some. Of course before you know it November will be here and performances will begin for this year's Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Followed of course by Thanksgiving and the Christmas Tree lighting at Rockefeller Center and finally Christmas and New Year's. Then we get to start all over again. Here's to 2014!Yes I know that is still over four months away. It's funny but before I moved to New York time always seemed to go slow. Of course growing up in the Midwest everything is slow. That's probably why I was in such a hurry to move here.

Cut to almost twenty-two years later and I'm now wishing life moved a little slower. Boy do I sound old or what? The fact is we are all going to get old eventually. Might as well embrace and enjoy it. Well I guess I did find something to write about. Sure it wasn't about the theatre but it least it was meaningful. Sure maybe but not to you but that's o.k. too. Until next time theatre fans.
