Now I'll be the first to admit that I have never seen one episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. Look I know how popular the show is. After all the show has been on the air since 1999. Now here we are eighteen years later, and everyone's favorite sea sponge is headed to the Great White way. The show, which premiered in June 2016 at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, is set to begin previews at the historic Palace Theatre on November 6, 2017, with opening night scheduled for December 4. Shortly after the show opened, I posted the reviews on our website. Here they are again. Enjoy.

Pretty good I have to say. Here's hoping the New York critic's are just as positive. The new musical, which is conceived and directed by Tina Landau, features a score by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, and Cyndi Lauper.
