Million Dollar Quartet To Resume Performances Next Month Off-Broadway

That's right theatre fans. That now makes four shows that have moved from Broadway to Off-Broadway in the last couple of years. I am smelling a new trend. Million Dollar Quartet which opened on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre in April 2010 is set to resume performances at New World Stages on Thursday July 28, 2011. The show is following in the footsteps of follow Tony winners The 39 Steps and Avenue Q who also made the move to the well known Off-Broadway complex following long runs on the Great White Way. Million Dollar Quartet will also be joined by Tony and Pulitzer winner Rent which is scheduled to begin performances at New World Stages on July 14. I for one loved the show and think that this is great news for all involved. Get your tickets to see Million Dollar Quartet. You will love it.

Buying Theatre Tickets On The Web

Now I don't know about you but when it comes to shopping for gifts for my family and friends or even buying tickets I do most if not all my purchases thru the Internet. Makes sense right? I mean who has time to spend hours in a department store or waiting online at a theatre to buy tickets? I know I don't. Thankfully in this day and age we don't have too. Anything we want is just a click away. How great is that? That means if you want tickets to see Broadway's hottest shows all you have to do is log on to a website that sells theatre tickets and find the one that works for you. Easier said than done I know.

After all there are hundreds of companies that sell tickets. The hard part is finding the right one. Now I am smart enough to know that Applause is not the only game in town. We're not even the only broker on our own block. What we are is a company that takes pride in providing the best customer service to everyone. So whether you are calling us for the first time or you are a long time customer just remember that Applause is here to help with anything that you need. Look we all know buying tickets can be difficult at times. I always try to encourage people to do their homework. Shop around and find the service that works best for them. I know I do the same when I am spending my money. It just makes sense. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

This week's customer story comes all the way from Mehoopany, Pennsylvania. Don't feel bad. I've never heard of it either. Early in the week I received a call from a gentleman who was planning a trip to New York with his son next month and was hoping to take in a show while they were here. I asked him what he wanted to see and he said that his son was a huge Spider-Man fan and was hoping I would be able to find some nice seats for him.

I told him that it shouldn't be a problem as they were looking for a week day performance instead of a weekend. I also told him that I would be able to get him excellent seats in the center of the Orchestra and at a rate that was lower than he thought it would be. Well he loved that. I was able to get him seats in Row YY of the Orchestra in the center. I know what you're thinking. Isn't that all the way in the back? Yes it is.

However for this show it is actually better to be further back. For one you are elevated so you don't have to worry about people sitting in front of you blocking your view. Plus it's Spider-Man for crying out loud. That translates to people dressed in Spider-Man costumes flying over your head all night. Now isn't that worth the price of admission alone? So there you have it folks. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

That's right theatre fans. One of this season's celebrated new shows is now on sale thru the end of January. Now for those of you who have yet to see the show there is no better time than right now. Applause has good seats from now thru the end of November. Customer Story

This week's customer story comes all the from Glenco, Illinois. Don't feel bad. I've never heard of it either and I lived in Illinois until I was eighteen years old. Anyway last week I received a call from a very nice lady who was planning a trip to New York for her and her husband and was hoping to take in a few shows while they were here. I asked her what she wanted to see and she was hoping to squeeze in at least four shows during her trip. Of course her first two choices were two of Broadway's hottest shows. Care to guess which one's I'm talking about?

No. It's not Wicked and Jersey Boys. Now don't get me wrong. Those two are still in the top five or six selling shows week in and week out. Give up? Why it's none other than recent Tony winners The Book of Mormon and War Horse. Let me guess. You've never heard of them right? Just kidding. So now that I knew what she wanted it was time to see if I could secure the tickets. Luckily I had both shows in stock so I was not only able to find her excellent seats for both shows but at prices that were lower than she had seen anywhere else.

Now if she had called a a week later I can guarantee that those seats would have been gone. At least for Mormon anyway. It is the hottest new show on Broadway after all. So now that the more difficult shows were out of the way it was time to find out what she wanted to see next. Thankfully her next two shows were a lot easier to get. First up was Rock of Ages. Not only is it one of my favorite shows but one of the coolest ones that I have ever seen. Since the show has been playing for a couple of years I was able to get ger excellent seats for below face value.

Three shows down. One to go. Her fourth and final show selection was Rain: A Tribute To The Beatles. Now don't get me wrong. I love the Beatles as much as the next guy. However the thought of four look a likes singing Beatles tunes for two hours didn't really excite me. Imagine my surprise when I saw the show a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Enough about me. Once again I was able to get great seats at a low price. So there you have it. Four great shows at four great prices. Another satified customer. Not so fast. Three days later she called and booked Master Class. Care to guess what she paid? That's right my friends. Below face value. One more time. Another satisfied customer Will you be next?

See Broadway's Longest Running Show The Phantom of the Opera For Below Face Value

Has it really been twenty-three years since The Phantom of the Opera opened on Broadway? Technically it's twenty-three years, four months and thirteen days but who's counting. The show which first premiered in London in 1986 remains one of Broadway's most beloved shows of all time. Now while I enjoyed the show when I first saw it over eighteen years ago I never expected it would still be here after all these years. Yet here we are in 2011 and the show is just as popular as it was when it opened in 1988. In this day and age most shows are lucky to last a year or two if their lucky. Therefore twenty-three years is a major accomplishment don't you think? Now for those of you who still haven't seen the show I have some great news. From now thru September 3 you can get tickets to see this Tony winning musical for prices that can't be beat. Get your tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera. You will love it.
