Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Shreveport, Louisiana. To be honest we don't get a lot of calls from there. Not Shreveport mind you but Louisiana. Anyway a couple of days ago I got a call from a travel agent who had a client who was planning a trip to New York at the end of the year and wanted to see a couple of shows. Now of course she realized that since she was coming around the holidays that not only might it be difficult to get tickets but that they would be expensive as well. This is true. To be honest most of the tickets we sell we get for less than our normal rate however during the holidays all tickets are higher. Makes sense to me. So now that I knew when they would be here I needed to find out what they wanted to see. Care to guess which ones? Well they both involve characters that fly. That's right. They picked Wicked and Spider-Man:Turn Off The Dark. Two very popular choices especially during this time of year. No to mention the two largest theatres on Broadway. Now while I enjoyed Wicked when I first saw it eight years ago I did not enjoy Spider-Man. Well what I saw anyway. Let's just say that I didn't stick around long enough to see Peter Parker save his damsel in distress Mary Jane. Oh well. It's not the first time that I walked out of a show and it won't be the last. When I was said and done I was able to find them excellent seats for both shows and at a rate that was lower than they had seen elsewhere. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Guess what? That's right theatre fans. Another customer story from the great state of Texas. Arlington to be exact. Two days ago I received a call from a very nice lady who was planning a last minute trip to New York and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were there. Care to guess which ones? Well they both won in their respective categories at the 2011 Tony Awards. That's right. I am talking about War Horse and The Book of Mormon. Winners of Best Play and Musical of the Year. Believe it or not but I have yet to see either show. I'm not worried. The Book of Mormon will be here for many, many years. Now for those of you who still haven't seen War Horse time is running out. The show will play it's final performance on January 6, 2013. Luckily because War Horse has been playing for awhile I was able to get them excellent seats for below cost. Now they knew going in that The Book of Mormon would be more expensive. They were right. However I told them that if they were willing to sit in the Rear Mezzanine that not only would they have a great view but that the pricewould be less. I know what you're thinking. Isn't the Rear Mezzanine a mile away? Not in this theatre. In fact at only 1,066 seats the Eugene O'Neill is one of the smallest theatres on Broadway. So there you have it folks. Two award wining shows at some great prices to boot. Plus I was able to recommend some great but inexpensive restaurants to check out while they are here. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Evita The Musical is Having a Winter Ticket Sale

Evita The Musical first came to Broadway in 1979 and instantly became a big hit Broadway musical.  With music and book written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, two of the theater's most brilliant creative team, Evita tells the story of the First Lady of Argentina and her "rags to riches" tale.  First Lady Eva Peron managed to win the love and admiration of the people of Argentina after getting married to Juan Peron, a former military leader, then turned president.

The show takes place in Buenos Aires between 1934 and 1952.  As the show progresses, we see Eva Peron emerge from a child without a father to ambitions of becoming an actress to eventually become the leader of Argentina as well as the most powerful woman in all of Latin America.  Many of the details and events of Eva's life are told to the audience in song with frequent narration by the narrator of the show, Che.  The role of Che is currently played brilliantly by world famous recording artist Ricky Martin.

The Broadway, London and nationwide ticket experts at Applause-Tickets.com have just learned that the entire cast of evita are scheduled to leave the show on January 26, 2013.  Although we expect the replacement cast of Evita to be a great one, we also found out that the producers of Evita are offering discount tickets available starting right now so they can keep the momentum for the show going into 2013.  With this in mind, You may want to consider obtaining tickets for Evita on Broadway for most performances at a discount except for Friday and Saturday evenings, the show is offering great seat locations at very reasonable prices.

If you need help, consider calling Applause-Tickets.com today or whenever you get a chance.  Just say the Broadway Ticket Man sent you and you'd like a discount Evita tickets before the current cast with Ricky martin leaves the show.

I hope you have found this information helpful.  Please pass it around to others who you think might be interested in obtaining Evita tickets on Broadway.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of California. Stockton to be exact. About a week and a half ago I got a call from a travel agent inquiring about shows for her client who was planning a trip to London in February. How many shows you ask? Eight. Now I love going to the theatre as much as the next person but eight shows in fourteen days? At least they are spreading it out a little. Anyway so now that I knew when they were going to be there I next needed to find out what they wanted to see. Oh sure I guess I could go ahead and pick the shows for them. Good idea right? Probably not. My guess is we have different tastes when it comes to shows. Well as it turns out we actually picked some of the same shows. Care to guess which ones? Why none other than Rock of Ages, The Bodyguard, and We Will Rock You. Good choices don't you think?

I know. I know. You're dying to find out what else their seeing right? Don't worry. I won't hold you in suspense. Drum roll please. Mamma Mia, Midnight Tango,Viva Forever,Les Miserables, and last but not least Wicked. Now out of all of those the only ones that I have never heard of are Midnight Tango ( a new show featuring the stars of Strictly Come Dancing) and Viva Forever ( a new musical starring Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders and featuring the music of the Spice Girls). I don't know about but you but that last one sounds like it could be fun. So after a little research I was able to get them excellent seats in the Orchestra for every show and on an aisle as well. So there you have it folks. Eight shows in fourteen days. Whew! Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf is Back on Broadway

Last night I had the opportunity to go to the Booth Theater in New York City and catch the latest revival of a really terrific play, Who’sAfraid of Virginia Woolf?  This really superb piece of theater had recently played very successful engagements in Washington, D.C. as well as Chicago and officially opened to critic’s reviews here on October 13, 2012. The opening was 50 years to the day when the play first opened on Broadway in 1962.   At just a little over 3 hours including 2 intermissions, you can’t believe how time really went by so quickly.

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a limited engagement brought to you by the wonderfully talented Steppenwolf Theatre Company from Chicago, which produces nearly 700 annual performances every year in its 3 Chicago theater spaces.  Steppenwolf Theatre Company has been seen on Broadway recently in productions of Superior Doughnuts and August: Osage County.Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf was written by Edward Albee and stars Amy Morton in the role of Martha.  In the play, Martha is married to George, played by Tracy Letts, a long time Steppenwolf performer and ensemble member.

The pair play an “over the top” dysfunctional couple that entertains another couple, Nick and Honey (played by Madison Dirks and Carrie Coon), who are both making their debut on Broadway.  It turns out that Nick and Honey are invited over to George and Martha’s house for a night of drinks, lots of fun as well as a huge number of very serious insults and accusations going on in the house.  By the end of the night we finally learn why George and Martha have been hurling insults at one another and their guests in a very emotional scene. The staging is done quite well with a set by Todd Rosenthal, who won a Tony Award for August: Osage County some years back.  Direction is by Tony Award nominated Pam MacKinnon.

For those interested in obtaining Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf? tickets, you might consider giving a call to www.applause-tickets.com , one of the expert theatre ticket companies that have access to discounted tickets.  Right now, the folks at www.Applause-Tickets.com  can get you tickets at below face value.  Simply put, it means you get to purchase tickets at below the usual retail prices for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Orlando, Florida. Earlier today I received a call from a very nice lady who had called us  over the weekend and ordered tickets to see Annie. At the time she was thinking about getting tickets for The Radio City Christmas Spectacular as well but needed to make sure it would fit within her budget. Makes sense to me. Theatre can be expensive. Especially during this time of the year. I told her that if she was willing to go to an earlier show I would probably be able to get her a better price. Well she loved that. So anyway after a little research I was able to find three seats in the 2nd Mezzanine for the 9am show. I know what you're thinking. Isn't that a little early for Christmas music? Not at all. Plus at a running time of only ninety minutes you have the whole day available to see the many wonderful sights and sounds of our fair city. Sounds like a win-win to me. In the end I was able to get her three very nice seats and at a rate that was lower than even I was expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Call Applause If You Need Help Selling Your Tickets

So here we are about to approach the end of 2012 and New York has already been hit by the biggest storm in decades. I am of course talking about Hurricane Sandy. Now I don't have a crystal ball in front of me but my guess is we are going to be in for a very cold and messy Winter. Considering that we have had it pretty easy the last few years I assume we are due for a lot of snow in the coming months. Good Times! Don't get me wrong. I like snow as much as the next person but it can really put a damper on your vacation plans if you know what I mean. Now let's say you've made plans to come to New York to see a show and your plane is delayed because of the weather. What happens to your tickets? Well do I have good news for you. All you have to do is give us a call and we can try to sell the tickets for you. Or maybe you're already in town but one of the people in your party couldn't make it in.No problem. Just give us a call and let Applause do the rest. It's that easy. So why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the Lone Star State. Believe it or not but this is my third customer story from Texas in the past twelve days. What can I say? I guess Texans just love New York City. Well that and Broadway. Anyway last week I received a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was planning a trip to New York next month and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. The only problem was they were only going to be here for one day which means they had to see two shows within twenty-four hours. Now don't get me wrong. I love going to the theatre. But two shows in one day? I don't think even I could do that. So anyway the two shows the wanted to see were The Lion King and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Two very popular shows during the holiday season. So know that I knew what they wanted to see I set out to find the best deal for both shows. Now because they were going three days before Christmas they knew that prices for both shows would probably be higher than other times. That is true. However since they were able to go to an earlier show for Radio City I was able to get a reduced rate. Oh sure they had to go at 9am in the morning but a bargain is a bargain. Plus they had the whole day free to do other things. One show down. One to go. Even though they were going on a Saturday night I was still able to find some excellent seats in the Front Mezzanine. Not only that but a price that was lower than they were expecting. So there you have it folks. Two great shows at two amazing prices. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

The Holidays Are Here

Still recovering from all that turkey you ate on Thanksgiving? Well get ready because Christmas is here folks. Yes I know we still have four more weeks but trust me. It will be here before you know it. In fact four days from now is the annual tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center.See I told you Christmas was just around the corner. Now as we all know the holidays can be a stressful time. Not too mention expensive. The thing is is doesn't have to be. Believe it or not but the cost of a Broadway ticket isn't as much as you might think. Oh sure if you are the type of person that has to sit in the "First Ten Rows Center" then you better be prepared to pay up. However if you are like me and you don't care where you sit then you have come to the right place my friends.Right now there are over twenty-five shows both on and Off-Broadway that you can see for......wait for it.....below cost. Let me guess. You think I've lost my mind right?  Now in case your show isn't listed there it doesn't mean it''s not available. It just means that it will cost you a little more to see it. The choice is yours. Live theatre. There is nothing like it. Until next time theatre lovers.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Marblehead, Massachusets. Earlier this week I received a phone call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was planning a trip for his family to New York in December and wanted to see a couple of shows. Their choices were The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and The Book of Mormon. Now while Radio City is very family friendly I would have to disagree about Mormon. Well as it turns out his two kids were both in college so it looks like it wasn't going to be that big a deal after all. Now because they were coming during the middle of the week I told them that we should be able to get not only better seats but a lower rate as well. When all was said and done I was able to get them excellent seats in the Center Orchestra for less then even I was expecting. One show down. One to go. As everybody knows The Book of Mormon is the hottest show on Broadway since Wicked. Don't worry Wicked fans. It's still one of Broadway's most popular not too mention highest grossing shows in Broadway history. Anyway after a little checking I was able to find some seats in Row L of the Orchestra on the side. Yes side seats are still just as good and a full view. Plus the tickets were lower than they had seen on other websites. So there you have it folks. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Columbus, Georgia. So anyway yesterday I got a call from a travel agent who had a client that was planning a trip to New York next month and wanted to inquire about tickets for a Broadway show. I take that back. They wanted to see three shows. Two on Broadway and one just east of Broadway. Care to guess which one? No it's not Avenue Q. Although that would be a great choice in my opinion. What can I say? I love that show. Why it's none other than the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Which by the way is celebrating it's eighty-fifth year at Radio City Music Hall.

Now because they chose to see the show on a weekday performance the tickets were a lot cheaper than if they would have went on a Friday or Saturday. In fact I was able to get them Center Orchestra seats for less than they were expecting. One show down. Two to go. Next up was Evita. Once again because they went on a weekday evening I was able to get them great seats in the Orchestra for below our normal retail rate. Last but not least is the new Gershwin musical Nice Work If You Can Get It starring Matthew Broderick and Kelli O'Hara. Guess what? That's right. Great seats once again for less . So there you have it folks. Three great shows at some amazing prices. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

The Book of Mormon and Applause

Still haven't seen Broadway's hottest show? Well there is no better time than right now. The Book of Mormon, winner of the 2011 Tony Award for Best Musical of the Year, continues to play to sold out audiences eight times a week at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Believe it or not but I have yet to see the show. Because we work in the theatre industry we pretty much get invited to all the new shows. That way when people ask our opinion we can give them an honest answer about what we thought of it. Now wouldn't you know it but the one night we get invited I couldn't go. Oh well. Maybe they will invite us again when the show starts to slow down. I've already waited nineteen months so what's another three or four years right? Exactly. Now for those of you who still haven't seen the show there are tickets available believe it or not. In fact we here at Applause have tickets for all performances thru November 10, 2013. Not only that but at prices for most that are lower than you will find anywhere else. Get your tickets to see The Book of Mormon on Broadway. You will love it. Until next time theatre fans.

This past Saturday I received a call from a very nice woman who called us based on a recommendation from her travel agent. See? That's why we love travel agents. Anyway she called because she was planning a trip to New York in a few days and wanted to see if she could get some last minute tickets to see Wicked for her and her eleven year old daughter. Because it was the day before Thanksgiving she knew it might be a little tough not to mention more expensive then any other time of the year. Luckily we had some seats in our inventory that were not only good seats but less then she had seen anywhere else. Plus I was able to find a great restaurant in Midtown for Thanksgiving dinner. Mary Poppins Celebrates Anniversary

That's right theatre fans. Your favorite flying nanny is celebrating a milestone. Mary Poppins which opened on Broadway on October 2006 will celebrate it's sixth year on Broadway today. Also on November 20 it will play it's 2,500 performance and on November 23 it will surpass The Producers to become the 23rd longest-running show in Broadway history. Now for those of you who read my blogs know that I'm not the biggest Disney fan in the world. That being said the movie was a favorite of mine as a child and the show believe it or not is one of the best shows that I have ever seen. Who would have thought? By the way for those of you who still haven't seen the show there is no better time than right now. Good seats are now available for every performance. Not only that but at prices that can't be beat. Now while this "Insider Price" is good thur January 6, 2013 it is not good from December 26-31 and is subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. You will love it.

Today's customer story comes all the way from Lincoln, Nebraska. Two days ago I received a call from a new customer who found us by doing a google search for inexpensive Broadway tickets. The power of the Internet never ceases to amaze me. So anyway after finding out when she was going to be here I asked her what she wanted to see. Because she was only going to be here for a couple of days she only had a small window in which to see her shows. Plus she wanted to go on Thanksgiving which very few shows actually play on. Luckily for her the two shows that she picked did. The Phantom of the Opera and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Oh did I mention that she wanted to see both on the same day? Luckily I was able to find excellent seats in the Front Mezzanine for Phantom and Center Orchestra for Radio City. Plus I was able to get them reservations for a great place to eat on Thanksgiving Day between shows. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Huntington, West Virginia. This past Tuesday I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York next month and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. The shows they wanted to see were Jersey Boys, The Lion King, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Now out of all of those the only one that I have seen is Jersey Boys. Which by the way is one of my favorites. Anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where that wanted to sit. Well as it turns out five of them wanted to see The Lion King and three wanted to see Jersey Boys. Plus they all wanted to go on the same date. When all was said and done I was able to get excellent center Orchestra seats for The Lion King and Front Mezzanine seats on the aisle for Jersey Boys. Two shows down. One to go. For the Christmas Spectacular I was able to get nine seats together in the First Mezzanine in the center. Now I know what you're thinking. Where did that extra person come from right? Well as it turns out the extra person didn't want to see the other two shows. What nerve. It's o.k. I wouldn't want to see The Lion King either. What? Maybe they saw Jersey Boys already. That's what I'm going with anyway. So there you have it folks. Three great shows and not only that but great seats to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

What To See In New York This Holiday Season

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just nine days away? Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating the 4th of July and now here we are with the holidays upon us. Luckily there are plenty of great shows to see in the coming weeks. Now normallly during the holidays there is only one Christmas themed show. That being of course the world famous Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Which by the way is celebrating it's eighty-fifth year at Radio City Music Hall. Joining this holiday classic are Elf, A Christmas Story, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. While both the Grinch and Elf have played here before this will mark the Broadway debut for A Christmas Story. Growing up as a chid the movie was a personal favorite of mine. As a matter of a fact I actully saw it in the theatre when it first opened back in November 1983. Now while the movie was not a hit when it first opened it has since gained cult status and has become a holiday favorite. I for one hope the show is a big success and will return again in the coming seasons. Fingers crossed. So there you have it folks. Four great shows to check out this holiday season. Which one will you see? Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Today’s customer story comes all the way from Washington. And no I’m not talking about the home of our recently re-elected President. I’m talking about Washington State. Home to the Seattle Mariners and the birthplace of Starbuck’s Coffee. Anyway late last week I got a call from a travel agent who needed show tickets for a client who was planning a trip to New York at the end of the year. Their choices were Wicked, Chicago, and The Phantom of theOpera. All long running shows  but still very popular. Now since they were coming around the holidays they knew it would be a little more expensive than usual. They were right. However not as expensive as you might think. Plus they wanted five tickets for each show. For Chicago and Phantom I was able to secure them excellent seats in the Center Front Mezzanine. Now for Wicked all they had was side Orchestra in the Rear. Which by the way is a full view. So there you have it folks. Three greats shows at some amazing prices. Not only that but she called the next day and they ordered another show as well. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today’s customer story comes all the way from the Sunshine State. Yes I am talking about the great state of Florida. Belleair Bluffs to be exact. This past Thursday I received a call from a travel agent who received our recent postcard in the mail and wanted to sign up her agency as well as inquire about theatre tickets for her client. After taking all her info I asked what her client wanted to see and when. Her choices were Spider-Man:Turn OffThe Dark and The Lion King. Two shows that believe it or not I have not seen. I take that back. I did see the first act of both shows. Does that count? I’m guessing not. Anyway because she was coming the week before Thanksgiving I knew there would probably be more availability as well as lower prices. Sure enough I was able to get very good seats for Spider-Man at a reduced rate. Now while The Lion King was a little more it was much less than if she had went a week later during the holiday. Plus she got some excellent seats on the center aisle in the Orchestra. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Annie Is A Hit

That’s right theatre fans. Annie is back and she is taking Broadway by storm. The show which first premiered back in 1977 triumphantly returned to the Great White Way last week to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. To be honest after the poorly received 1997 production I wasn’t expecting much from this one. Yet there I sat three weeks ago in the Rear Orchestra of the Palace Theatre with a big smile on my face from ear to ear. Who would have thought a precocious redheaded firecracker like Annie could do that? I sure didn’t. And it looks like the reviews have made a difference as there was a line out the door the day the reviews came out. Looks like Annie is here to stay folks. Now on to the reviews.  Enjoy!

Customer Story

This week’s customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Carolina. Wilmington to be exact. Finally a city from another state that I know. Anyway last week I received a call from a travel agent who’s client was planning a trip to London next Spring and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were there. Her choices were Billy Elliot and Monty Python’s Spamalot. Believe it or not but I actually saw both shows. In New York of course. After finding out when she wanted to go I needed to find out where she wanted to sit. Just like with New York shows we always get the best seats.  After a little research I was able to get them excellent seats in the center for both shows. Not only that but at prices that were lower that she had seen on other websites. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

This week’s customer story comes all the way from the Great White North. That’s right. I am talking about Canada. Calgary, Alberta to be exact. Earlier in the week I received a call from a new customer who was planning a trip with his wife and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. Their choices were Once, Grace, and The Book of Mormon. Now out of all the shows only one stands out. Care to guess which one that would be? If you guess Grace then you when 100 points. O.K. not really. Grace is a play and unlike the other two it didn’t win multiple Tony Awards. Well not yet anyway. Anyway so now that I knew when they wanted to go I needed to find out where they wanted to sit and how much they wanted to spend. Now they knew that The Book of Mormon would be the most expensive of the three. They were right. It was. However not as expensive as they thought. Plus they got excellent seats in the Center Orchestra. One show down. Two to go. Next up? Once. This year’s Tony Award winner for Best Musical. This time I found them seats in the Center Front Mezzanine which is the best view for that show. One show down. One more to go. Last but not least in Grace. Because the show is not as popular as the other two I was able to get them very good seats for below cost. So there you have it folks. Three great shows at three incredible prices. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tony Award Winner The Book of Mormon To Begin Performances In London In February 2013

That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's biggest hits is heading to the West End. The Book of Mormon which won nine 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical of the Year is set to begin performances at the Prince of Wales Theatre on February 25, 2013. Heading the cast are two-time Tony nominee Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner who are currently playing in the Los Angeles production. Now while the show has been breaking box office records since it first opened in March of 2011 I wonder how it will do in London. My guess is it will do pretty well but you never know with the Brits. We shall see. Now for those of you who can't make it across the pond to see it you can always check out the Broadway production. Here at Applause we have access to every date and time. Plus we offer them at prices that are lower than you will find anywhere else. That's what we do. Get your tickets to see The Book of Mormon on Broadway and now the West End. You will love it.

Customer Story

This week’s customer story comes all the way from here. That’s right. New York City. To be honest except for the people that come up to our office and purchase tickets with their New York Pass most of our customers are from outside the New York City area. Makes sense right? After all most people that buy tickets are doing so because they can’t walk up to the theatres themselves. Why you ask? Because they don’t live here that’s why. Oh sure I guess they could wait until they get here and sort of hope for the best. Why do that? Anyway late last night I received a call from one of our regular customers. Now while he works just blocks away from the theatre district he uses us because he knows that not only do we always get him the best seats but at the lowest price as well. Who wouldn’t love that? Oh sure he could walk a few blocks to the theatre and get them himself. Hundreds of New Yorkers do it every day. He comes back to us each and every time for the personal service that we give him each and every time he calls. How many other companies do you know that do that? Not too many. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Heading over to London in the near future and want to see a show? Sounds good to me. I know if I was going over there it is one of the first things that I would want to do. Well that and check out all the sites. “Look kids. Big Ben. Parliament.” Now if you are over thirty like me you should know that quote comes from one of the funniest movies of all time. Give up? You came here because you are obviously going to London and want to see some shows. So let’s get right to it. Believe it or not but I have never been to London. In fact except for my yearly trip to Illinois to visit my parents I rarely leave the big city.

Not that I wouldn’t love it. I’m afraid I would love it so much that I probably would never want to leave and there is no way I could do that. I love New York way too much. Now for those of you heading across the pond you my friends have come to the right place. Not only do we specialize in all events in the New York area but everything in London too. Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Ohio. Cincinnati to be exact. Now you would think growing up in the Midwest I would have been to Cincinnati hundreds of times right? Well actually the only time I was there was to visit Kings Island as a child. Anyway back to our story. This past Friday I received a call from a very nice lady who was planning a trip to New York in early with December with her family and wanted to see a couple of shows while she was here. Her choices were The Radio CityChristmas Spectacular and Wicked. Two very popular choices during the holidays. Now because she was flexible on when she wanted to go I was able to get her excellent seats for the Christmas show and at a price that was lower than it would have been if she went later in the day. Oh sure she had to go at 9am in the morning but at least that means she had the whole day free to do other things. One show down. One to go. Once again I was able to find her some very good seats in the Mid Mezzanine for Wicked and at a price that was lower than she had found anywhere else. Plus I was able to find a couple of great restaurants for her and her family to check out while they were here. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Broadway's Wicked Celebrates Anniversary

Can you believe it’s been nine years since Wicked first opened on Broadway? Time sure does fly. Now most people forget that the show didn’t get very good reviews when it first opened. Yet  here we are all these years later and Wicked remains one of Broadway’s most popular show.  Guess the critic’s don’t know everything huh? To be honest I never trust what they say either. Personally I would rather reach my own decision. Now while I enjoyed the show when I first saw it I never expected to still be blogging about it all these years later. Who would have thought? I know I sure didn’t. Now for those of you who still haven’t seen the show there is no better time than right now. Good seats are available for all performances. Need tickets for the holidays? No problem. How about last minute tickets for this weekend? That’s what we do. So why not give us a call? You’ll be glad you did.

Buying Tickets From A Licensed Ticket Broker

Ever bought anything online? Of course you have. I know I personally buy all my Christmas and Birthday gifts thru the internet. Who wants to deal with a bunch of crazy people? I know I sure don’t. Well buying theatre tickets is the same way. Let’s be honest. Most people who purchase tickets for shows in New York don’ t even live here. Therefore the only way to get them is to either buy them online or over the phone or walk up to the theatre. The only problem with that is your show may not be available when you get there. That means the only way to get them is thru a ticket broker. The truth is there are hundreds of different companies out there that sell tickets. The big question is who do you use? Well of course if It was up to me you would use us. Nothing like a little self-promotion.  Here’s the thing. It’s your money. So do your homework. Take your time and find the company that works best for you. In the end that’s what matters most anyway. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

That’s right theatre fans. We survived Hurricane Sandy. What a mess! Luckily after two days we were able to return to work which is when I received the call for this week’s customer story.  Earlier in the day I received a call from a travel agent who had purchased tickets from us for herself and her family. She had The Book of Mormon for later in the week and decided to see another show while they were here. I asked her what she wanted to see and her choice was WarHorse. Now even though I have never seen the show I have heard nothing but good things about it since it opened last year. Anyway so now that I knew what she wanted to see I needed to find out when she wanted to go. Since the show has been playing for over a year and a half I knew I would be able to get her excellent seats. Not only that but at a price for below our normal cost. Now as a travel agent she automatically gets a discount but I was able to get a price that was lower than normal. Well she loved that. Plus I was able to find a great but inexpensive restaurant for them to check out before the show. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?
