Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Phoenix, Arizona. Yesterday I received a call from one of our regular customers who's client was planning a trip to New York in March and wanted to see two shows. I take that back. He wanted one show and tickets to the New York Knicks. Now being a huge Knicks fan I was more than happy to help. Not that I wouldn't be anyway. Unless of course he was a Brooklyn Nets fan then I would have to ask one of my colleagues to help him. Just kidding. Anyway so now that I know what he wanted to see I needed to find out where he wanted to sit and how much he wanted to spend. Plus being very familiar with Madison Square Garden I knew where the best seats are at. After a little research I was able to find excellent seats for the bargain price of $505 each. Yes I know that doesn't exactly sound like a bargain but when you consider that they are purchasing tickets for one of the hottest teams in basketball it's not that bad. So there you have it. Another satisfied customer. Wait a minute. I almost forgot about their show. Their choice? Wicked. Once again I was able to get them excellent seats. However these tickets were not over five hundred dollars. Although they weren't cheap either. So there you have it folks. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

This week's customer story comes all the way from the Garden State. That's right. I am talking about New Jersey. Totowa to be exact. Yesterday I got a call from an old customer of ours who was looking for last minute tickets to a Broadway show. Their choice? Why none other than Jersey Boys, the 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical of the Year. Now since the show has been playing for a number of years I was sure it would be fairly easy to secure seats for her. Plus a weekday night in January is the perfect time to go as that is usually the slowest time. Wait a minute. Not so fast. As it turns out she needed eighteen tickets in total. Oh no! How am I ever going to be able to fill an order that big the day before the show?Well guess what? I did. Not only that but I got them for a rate that was lower than she was expecting. Plus she ended up ordering six tickets for Mamma Mia for the next day that I was able to get for below cost. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To The Big Fish On Broadway

A Tim Burton movie on Broadway? Not only that but it's going to be a musical. Big Fish, which is based on the 1998 novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 film is set to begin previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on September 5 with opening night scheduled for October 6. Prior to that the show will make it's world premier at Chicago's Oriental Theatre where it will run from April 2-May 5. Leading the cast is two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Buz and Tony nominees Kate Baldwin and Bobby Steggert.

The show which has music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa ( The Addamd Family) and a book by John Augsut is being directed and choreographed by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman (The Producer's, Contact). Now with a creative team like that how can it not be a hit? I hope I didn't just jinx it. Now for those of you like me who have never seen the movie or read the book here is a synopsis of Big Fish from the shows official website.

A rollicking fantasy set in the American South," Big Fish, according to press notes, "centers on the charismatic Edward Bloom (Butz), whose impossible stories of his epic adventures frustrate his son Will (Steggert). As Edward’s final chapter approaches, Will embarks on his own journey to find out who his father really is, revealing the man behind the myth, the truth from the tall tales."

Sounds fun don't you think? By the way not only will we be selling tickets to the Broadway production but we will also have access to the Chicago engagement as well. How many other companies do you know that offer service like that? Get your tickets to see Big Fish on Broadway this fall and in Chicago this Spring. Until next time theatre fans.

Tickets To Broadway Revival of Pippin

That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's longest running shows is set to return to Broadway this Spring for the first time. Pippin, which opened on Broadway in 1972 and ran for 1, 944 performances is set to begin previews at the Music Box Theatre on March 23 with opening night scheduled for April 25. Now for those of you that are not familiar with the show here is a description of this ground breaking musical from the shows official website.

Everything has its season... and this season, PIPPIN returns to Broadway for the first time since it first thrilled audiences 40 years ago! With a beloved score by Tony Award® nominee STEPHEN SCHWARTZ (GODSPELL, WICKED) that includes the favorites "Magic to Do," "Glory" and "Corner of the Sky," PIPPIN tells the story of a young prince on a death-defying journey to find meaning in his existence. Will he choose a happy but simple life? Or will he risk everything for a singular flash of glory?

Direct from an acclaimed run at Boston's American Repertory Theater, PIPPIN is directed by DIANE PAULUS, director of the 2009 and 2012 Tony Award winners for Best Musical Revival (HAIR and THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS). This captivating production features sizzling choreography in the style of BOB FOSSE and breathtaking acrobatics by LES 7 DOIGTS DE LA MAIN, the creative force behind the nationwide sensation Traces. Join us... for a magical, unforgettable new PIPPIN.

Now I have been a fan of Bob Fosse for as long as I can remember so I'll admit that I was a little unsure when I heard that this new production would not be utilizing his Tony Award winning Choreography. However the point of doing a revival is to make it fresh and new right? Plus you can't deny the recent track record of it's director Diana Paulus. Will this production of Pippin make it a three-peat for her? We will soon find out.

By the way for those of you looking to purchase tickets to see Pippin you have come to the right place my friends. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show and event in New York City. Get your tickets to see Pippin at the Music Box Theatre on Broadway. Until next time theatre fans.

Tickets To The Big Knife On Broadway

Ever since I saw the 2006 Broadway revival of Awake and Sing I have been a huge fan of it's playwright Clifford Odet's. That production by the way went on to win the Tony Award winner for Best Play Revival of the Year. In fact this season there are two Odet plays on Broadway. Golden Boy which just wrapped a critically acclaimed run this past Sunday and The Big Knife which is set to open on Broadway this Spring at the American Airlines Theatre.

The show starring Emmy Award winner and Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale is set to begin previews on March 22 with opening night scheduled for April 16. As of now the show is set to close on June 2 but with most shows produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company they usually extend if reviews are good. Now for those of you that would like more information about The Big Knife here is a brief synopsis about the play from the shows website. Enjoy!

In the golden age of Hollywood cinema, actors may have all the glory, but studio execs have all the power. The Hoff-Federated studio has had its most successful star, Charlie Castle, over a barrel ever since it helped cover up a mistake that could have ended his career. When a woman with insider knowledge threatens to come forward, the studio heads will stop at nothing to protect Charlie's secret... but how far is he willing to go before he quits the movie business for good? Set in a glossy world of rumor mills and rocky friendships, Clifford Odets' The Big Knife is a riveting, bitingly funny look at how challenging it can be to stay true to yourself--when everyone expects you to play a part.

I for one can't wait to see this. Tickets for this Hollywood drama are now on sale. By the way for those of you looking for tickets to see The Big Knife you are in luck. Not only do we sell tickets for this show but every show and event in New York City. Get your tickets to see The Big Knife at the American Airlines Theatre. Expect this show to be a big contender at this year's Tony Awards. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Carolina. Wilmington to be exact. Yesterday I got a call from a very nice travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in March and wanted to see a show. Now since she was bringing here three children she wanted something that would not only be entertaining but appropriate for the whole family. Now to be honest there aren't a whole lot of shows like that right now. Oh sure there are the Disney shows. However they had already seen The Lion King and Mary Poppins is closing before they get here.  Since there were three young girls involved I suggested either Annie or Wicked. Having already seen the touring production of Wicked two years ago they decided on Annie. So know that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit. Now since they were bringing small children I suggested that they sit in the Front Mezzanine as it would be a much better overall view. Plus in this theater the first row of the Mezzanine overhangs the tenth row of the Orchestra. That makes the Front Mezzanine the better view in my opinion. Luckily she agreed with me as well. Plus since there were eight people going I told them that if they were willing to do four and four in front of each other the seats would be better. Once again she agreed with me. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To Bette Midler In I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers

Bette Midler on Broadway in a one-woman show? How do I get tickets? Now most people forget that Bette actually began her career in the theatre starring in several Off-Off Broadway shows before making her Broadway debut in the original production of Fiddler On The Roof as Tzeitel. Way before my time of course but I am sure like everything else she does she was amazing. Now the Grammy winning star is set to return to Broadway in a new play.

I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers is set to open this Spring. The show which is being written by Tony winning playwright John Logan (Red) is directed by two-time Tony winner Joe Mantello (Wicked, The Normal Heart). Now while I have never heard of Sue Mengers until recently she seems like an interesting character. Who better to play her than Bette? By the way for those of you who would like more information about the show here is a brief synopsis about the pay from the show's official website.

Sue Mengers (Bette Midler) was an American original. She was the first female "superagent" at a time when women talent agents of any kind were almost unheard of. She came from near poverty, a refugee from Hitler's Germany, and worked her way up through pluck, charm, and a legendary wit. In that uniquely American way, she invented herself; and when the career she wanted didn't exist, she invented that as well: "Superagent." It was a term Hollywood all but coined for her. By the 1970's, she represented almost every major star in Hollywood and went on to become the town's most renowned hostess.

Sounds like a fun evening in the theatre to me. The show is set to open on April 24 at a theatre to be announced. Now while an on sale date for tickets has not been announced I expect the show to be a hot ticket once it does. By the way for those of you looking to purchase tickets to see I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show both On and Off-Broadway. Get your tickets to see Bette Midler in I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers on Broadway. Tickets To Broadway Revival of Jekyll and Hyde

Believe it or not but in the nearly four years that Jekyll and Hyde played on Broadway I never saw it. What can I say? It just didn't look that interesting to me. Now while I didn't see that production I did see the composer's last two shows. Wonderland and Bonnie and Clyde. Both of which I loved and both of which flopped big time. Oh well. Maybe this new revival will do better than the last two. This new production stars Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis and Grammy nominee Deborah Cox. Now while I had no desire to see the original production I may have to check those one out. Constantine of course starred in one of my favorite Broadway shows (Rock of Ages) and I saw Ms. Cox in one of the few Disney shows that I actually loved (Aida). Performances are to begin at the Marquis Theatre on April 5 with opening night set for April 18. As of now the show is scheduled to play a limited 13 week engagement thru June 30. However if reviews are good I would not be surprised if it extends. Tickets are set to go on sale in the next few weeks so don't delay. Get your tickets to see Jekyll and Hyde at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway. Who knows? Maybe I'll see you there. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Fairlawn, Ohio. Yesterday afternoon I got a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in late April and wanted to see a show while they were here. Care to guess which one? Why it's none other than my favorite Broadway show of all time. Spider-Man:Turn Off The Dark. I am kidding of course. I did not like the show. Well what I saw if it that is. I left at intermission. What can I say? I guess I'm not a big fan of Spider-Man. I take that back. I did like the movies. I just didn't like the show. Oh well. It doesn't really matter what I think as the show has continued to make over a million dollars a week at the box offices since it began performances in November 2010. Basically that means that Spider-Man is here to stay my friends. Anyway back to our story. It turns out that not only did they want to see my least favorite show but they also needed six seats together. Plus they wanted them in the Flying Circle. In case you didn't know that is just a fancy name for the Front Mezzanine. Anyway when all was said and done I was able to get them excellent seats in the center. Not only that but at a price that was lower than he had expected. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

See Tony Winner Jersey Boys For Less This winter

Still haven't seen Jersey Boys? Well there is no better time than than the present. The show which won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical of the Year continues to play to packed houses eight times a week at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway. Now believe it or not but when the show first opened I had no desire to see it. Too much hype I guess. So imagine my surprise two years later when I gave in and finally went to see it. What an amazing night in the theatre. I can't believe I waited so long to see it.

Who knows? Maybe if I had seen it earlier I might have sold some more tickets for it. Anyway for those of you who still haven't seen it do I have great news for you. Now is the best time to see this award winning musical at prices that can't be beat. Be advised that while this "Special Offer" is good from February 12 thru March 17 it is not good for every date and of course subject to availability. Here are the dates. February 12- February 15, March 5-10, and March 12-17. That means you only have twenty-one chances to see one of Broadway's hottest shows. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre. You will love it. Until next time theater fans.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the great state of Michigan. Monroe to be exact. Don't feel bad. I've never heard of it either. Yesterday I received a call from a travel agent. Big shock right? I think nine out of my last ten customer stories have been about travel agents. Now I'm not complaining. If it weren't for our loyal travel agents we would be out of business. So anyway her client was planning a trip to New York in the Spring and wanted to see a show while they were here. Their choice? Chicago. Which by the way is not only the longest running revival in Broadway history but the third longest running show of all time. What can I say? I guess people love the show. So now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit. Now since it was a holiday weekend they knew the tickets would be more. They were right. Now usually for a long running show like Chicago we can get tickets for below cost. However not on Memorial Day weekend. When all was said and done I was able to get them Center Orchestra seats in the tenth row center. Not only that but a rate than was lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Alabama. Birmingham to be exact. This past Friday I received a call from one of our regular customers who's client was planning a trip to New York in March and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. Her choices were Cinderella and Mamma Mia. Now believe it or not but in all the years that have been selling tickets I have never seen Mamma Mia. In fact it is the only theatre on Broadway that I have never been in. I avoided Cats and so far I have avoided Mamma Mia too. Oh well. It isn't the first Broadway show that I have missed since I have lived here and it certainly won't be the last.

Now because Mamma Mia has been playing for a number of years I told the travel agent that I would have no trouble getting them excellent seats. Not only that but for below our normal rate. When all was said and done I was able to get them excellent seats in the Front Mezzanine. One show down. One to go. Cinderella. Never seen it. Makes sense considering it has never been on Broadway. This version of the classic fairy tale was written by famed song writing duo Rodgers and Hammerstein with a new book by Tony nominee Douglas Carter Beane. Anyway because the show hasn't opened yet I was one again able to get some great seats in the Front Mezzanine and of course for below our normal rate. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Applause Theatre and Entertainment Service: Who We Are

Since 1987 Applause Theatre and Entertainment Service has been providing tickets to travel agents and consumers alike. That's twenty-six years for those of you keeping count. So now that you know who we are let me tell you a little bit about what we do. Well I'm guessing you have figured out by the name of our company that we sell theatre tickets. In fact not only do we sell tickets to every show both On and Off-Broadway but every theatrical production in the country. How many other companies do you know that do that? Now how about the other word in our title? That's right. I am talking about entertainment. Now wait a minute. Isn't theatre entertaining? Yes it is. So are sports, concerts, ballet, and Opera. Guess what? We sell those too. Not only that but we offer seats for all those events and at all prices as well.

Ever heard of Premium seats? Oh sure they may be a little more expensive than other seats but they are closer to the stage. Now I personally like the Front Mezzanine when I go to the theatre. Not only do you get a better overall view but the sound is better too. Plus the great thing about the theatres on Broadway is that they are not very big. That means all the seats are great. In fact that is usually the case with most venues across the country. Oh and just in case you were wondering we also offer all those events that I mentioned in London and every major city in the world. Now I ask you again. How many other companies do you know that offer service like that? No too many my friends. Also don't forget that Applause is open seven days a week. 365 days a year. That means we are always here to help with all your ticket needs. It's what we do. Until next time ticket buyers.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Roanoke, Virgina.Yesterday afternoon I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in a couple of months and wanted to see a show while they were here. Their choice? Why none other than one of Broadway's most popular shows of all time. No I am not talking about Spider-Man:Turn Off The Dark. Although I will have to say despite all the bad press and reviews they are still grossing over a million dollars a week. Not bad for a show that most people thought would open and close. Anyway enough about Spider-man. The show that they wanted to see was Wicked. So now that I know what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit.

Now for those of you who that are not familiar with the Gershwin Theatre it is one of Broadway's largest theatres. 1,809 seats to be exact. Now while it may be big compared to other theatres the seats are great no matter where you sit. Yes there are some seats that are obstructed but those are in the Orchestra in the first few rows in on the side. Basically you miss any entrance or exits depending on what side you are sitting on. All in all it's not that bad. Anyway the seats I were going to suggest were the Front Mezzanine which are the best seats for that show anyway. When all was said and done I was able to get him seats in the second row of the Front Mezzanine right on the aisle. Not only that but at a price that was lower than he was expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To The Testament of Mary On Broadway

A religious play on Broadway? Isn't The Book of Mormon enough? Just kidding. The Testament of Mary, starring award winning actress Fiona Shaw is set to begin previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre on March 26 with opening night scheduled for April 22. As of now the show is only selling thru June 16, 2013. However if reviews are good I would not be surprised if it extends. Now for those of you who would like more information about The Testament of Mary here is a brief description about the play from the shows official website. Enjoy!

The Testament of Mary takes place after the Crucifixion. Mary, the mother of Jesus, is in the city of Ephesus where she is both guarded and protected. As two of her son's followers set about giving shape to Jesus' story, Mary tells her own story - the one which has not been heard." Well I'm sold. The show which is being produced by Tony winning producer Scott Rudin (The Book of Mormon, The Social Network) is being directed by Deborah Warner.

Oh by the way just in case you were wondering The Testament of Mary is a one-woman show. And here I thought that we were going to see Jesus on Broadway again this year. I guess we will just have to wait for Jesus Christ Superstar or Godspell to come back in thirty years. Now for those of you looking for tickets to see The Testament of Mary you are in luck my friends.

Not only do we offer tickets to this show but every show and event in New York City as well as London and all across the nation.  How many other companies do you know that offer service like that? Get your tickets to see The Testament of Mary on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Expect this show to be a big contender at this year's Tony Awards. Until next time theatre fans.

Anyway you didn't come here to read about football right? You came here to read my customer story of the day of course. So let's get right to it. Now this story believe it or not actually started a few days ago. Earlier this week I received a call from a travel agent who's client was heading over to London next month and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were there. Their choices? War Horse and Matilda. Which by the way are two of the most popular shows in London. Matilda, which is coming to Broadway this Spring, won the most Olivier Awards in history. While War Horse which just completed it's run on Broadway last week continues to entertain audiences of all ages eight times a week in the West End. Unfortunately I never got around to seeing War Horse. However I am hoping I will get the chance to see Matilda when it opens here in April. It looks fantastic. So anyway know that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and where they wanted to sit. Now even though they were going to be there for almost a week they wanted to space out the shows a little bit so they would still have time to see and do other things while they were there. I told her that shouldn't be a problem. When all was said and done I was able to get them excellent seats in the Orchestra. Not only that but on the Center aisle as well. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from Park Ridge, New Jersey. A few days ago I received a call from Nancy at The Hertz Corporation. Last month she had called and ordered tickets from me to see Chicago and Jersey Boys for a few of her colleagues at the company. I take that back. It wasn't a few. It was forty-six people. Anyway she was so happy with the tickets that I got her that she called back and ordered thirty-nine tickets to see The Lion King for the following month. Don't you just love customers like that? I know I do. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To Shania Twain In Las Vegas

Wait a minute. Can this actually be happening? Another act in Las Vegas that I know. What is that? Three in a row? Now unless you have been living under a rock for the past two decades I'm almost certain that you have heard of Shania Twain. I know I have. She is one talented lady. Not too mention sexy as hell. Now for those of you who are still want a little more information about this Grammy Award winning superstar here is a little description from the shows official website. Enjoy!

Shania Twain's new show at Caesars Palace marks the singer's return to the stage after an eight-year absence – and it's a welcome return for fans of the woman who is one of the biggest stars in country pop music.

Shania Twain's new show at Caesars Palace marks the singer's return to the stage after an eight-year absence – and it's a welcome return for fans of the woman who is one of the biggest stars in country pop music.

Twain's 1997 album "Come On Over" skyrocketed the singer to worldwide fame. The album became the best-selling album of all time by a female musician and the best-selling country music album of all time. A five-time Grammy Award-winner, Twain has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, including 50 million albums in the United States. She's the top-selling female country artist of all time and has multiplatinum album sales in 32 countries.

Fans will be delighted to hear all of Twain's familiar tunes during the course of the show like "Don't be Stupid," "You Win My Love," "Whose Bed Have your Boots Been Under?" and "Up!"
The stage transforms several times during the show and the next segment features a very country feel with a saloon set and the performers dressed in Old West-style costumes.

One of the biggest highlights of the show comes when she launches into her two huge hit ballads. She wears a flowing white gown and arrives on stage on the back of a beautiful white horse. The screens project birch trees and falling snow in the background as she sings "You're Still the One." The horse is led offstage and billowing white curtains descend as Twain sings "From This Moment On."
The show ends with a bang with one of Twain's biggest hits, "Man, I Feel Like a Woman." Confetti is blasted out over the audience and S-H-A-N-I-A is spelled out in massive lights.

Now I don't know about you but I'm sold. Performances are set to begin at Caesars Palace on March 19. Now while she is scheduled to play thru June 1, 2013 she will not perform every day. Here is the complete schedule. March 19-20, 23-24, 26-27, 29-30. April 2-3, 5-6, 9-10. May 14-15, 18-19, 21-22, 25-26, 28-29, 31. June 1. That's 26 shows for those of you keeping score. Get your tickets to see Shania Twain at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. You will love it.

Tickets To Donny and Marie In Las Vegas

She's a little bit country. He's a little bit Rock n' Roll. That's right. I am talking about Donny and Marie Osmond, the most famous brother-sister group of all time. I loved them growing up. However I never expected to still be talking about them all these years later. What can I say? America loves the Osmonds. Now in case you have no idea who they are and want more information here is a synopsis about Donny and Marie from their official website. Enjoy!

The show starts out with Donny & Marie singing a medley of "Get the Party Started," "Dancing in the Streets" and "Knock on Wood," accompanied by a group of talented back up dancers.
They also sing a new song, "Vegas Love," from their latest album -- the first they have recorded together in 30 years. While they may be best known as a team, both Donny and Marie found significant success as solo artists as well and the show gives them each a chance to highlight their individual achievements.

For Marie's turn in the spotlight, she sings her most well-known song, "Paper Roses," along with some of her other country favorites, accompanied by two guitar players.
She also heats things up with a mash up of "Walk this Way" and "These Boots Were Made for Walking," accompanied by male dancers.

Marie has a strong voice and shows her considerable range by belting out a flawless version of the operatic piece "Pie Jesu."As everyone knows, it's Donny who was always a little bit rock 'n' roll, and the show switches gears for his solo set.He appears out of fog on stage in to rock his 1989 comeback hit "Soldier of Love."Donny, a "Dancing with the Stars" winner, shows off some of his moves and some funky choreography on "Yo Yo" while footage of him and his brothers dancing during the '70s plays on a screen behind the stage.

Even though Donny likes to rock, it was his love ballads that made him an official heartthrob and he doesn't disappoint the longtime fans, singing well-known hits like "Puppy Love," accompanied by footage of him during his teenage years."This is the part where all of the women would scream," says Donny in the middle of "Puppy Love," which of course, elicits screams from the female members of the audience. "I've still got it!" he proclaims.

Donny and Marie reunite on stage toward the end of the show, singing some of their classic hits like "Make the World Go Away," "Morning Side of the Mountain" and "Deep Purple."The intimate 750-seat showroom at the Flamingo is a perfect fit for Donny and Marie, offering a good view from just about any seat and allowing the performers to walk out into the audience and get close to their fans. The classic Vegas-style room features booths and tables and contributes to the feeling of nostalgia the duo evokes with their show.

Makes you want to hop on a plane to Las Vegas right now doesn't it. Be advised that as of now the show is playing a limited engagement during the month of February only. However I would not be surprised if they return again soon. By the way for those of you looking to get tickets to see Donny and Marie you are in luck. Not only do we sell that show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to Donny and Marie at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. Until next time Vegas fans.

Tickets To MJ Live In Las Vegas

Now wait a minute. Correct if I'm wrong but didn't the King of Pop pass away back in 2009? I know I didn't just imagine that. Well me and everybody else on the planet. Please tell me that MJ Live is not a two hour hologram of Michael Jackson. As it turns out I had nothing to worry about. MJ Live is a tribute to the man himself. Now just in case that isn't enough to make you want to see it here is a description of MJ Live from the shows official website. Enjoy!

Fans can see everything they love about the King of Pop in MJ Live! at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Starring Michael Jackson impersonator Michael Firestone, MJ Live (Tribute to Michael Jackson)! pays homage to one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

Before impersonating him, Firestone was a big fan of Jackson's music. His admiration turned into inspiration, and Firestone decided to pursue a career as a tribute artist when he was a teenager living in North Carolina.

Firestone's uncanny ability to emulate Jackson's moves and sound is something he learned by watching VHS tapes and listening to CDs of the iconic performer. He also attended gospel churches in North Carolina where he would sing for additional practice.
After honing his skills, Firestone landed gigs performing on China's Star Cruises where he delighted audiences with his rendition of Jackson's greatest hit songs. Before starring in his own show at the Rio, Firestone worked as a dealertainer at Imperial Palace. Dealtertainers are card dealers who also entertain by dressing like a celebrity. Some of them even get on a stage located on the casino floor and sing in costume.

Firestone's admiration for Jackson is apparent in his show. Along with looking like the superstar, Firestone brings his energy to the stage as he performs songs like "Billie Jean," "Human Nature" and "Beat It." Jackson fans won't want to miss hearing their favorite songs performed live by this talented tribute artist.

I don't know. Could be good. He has been doing it for a number of years and seems to be well received by both critic's and audiences around the world. By the way for those of you heading over to Las Vegas in the coming months and would like tickets to see MJ Live you are in luck. Not only do we sell tickets to see this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see MJ Live at the Rio Theatre in Las Vegas.

Tickets To Terry Fator In Las Vegas

Now believe it or not but I have actually heard of Terry Fator. No not because I am a fan. It's because I have been watching America's Got Talent since it started back in June 2007. He of course went on to win Season 2 and headline his own show in Las Vegas where he remains to this day. Don't get me wrong. I think he's very talented. I just don't know if it is something that I would want to see. Now for those of you are not familiar with him here is a synopsis of his act from the official website. Enjoy!

Terry Fator may just be the greatest illusionist on the Las Vegas Strip, but you'll never see him perform any magic tricks. He amazes audiences by singing like famous entertainers from Elvis to Cher without moving his lips, and that's not all. Along with being an impressionist and ventriloquist, Fator is a puppeteer. His face may not move much during his show, but his hands are always in action, bringing to life his cast of lovable puppet co-stars.

The puppets each have their own comical personalities and music style, which makes Fator's show feel like both a concert and a stand-up comedy routine. There's Winston, the impersonating turtle; Walter T. Airdale; Maynard Thompkins, the World's Greatest Elvis Impersonator; Emma Taylor, the little girl with the big voice; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor; Julius, the soul singer; Monty Carlo, the lounge singer; Hyphen, the delusional British rocker; Vikki, the cougar; Barry Fabulous, a flamboyant hip-hop diva; and Wrex, the safety expert.

When the puppets aren't singing, they're sharing their comedic wit with Fator and the audience.
Combine that range of musical samplings and add in that Fator never opens his mouth more than half an inch during the songs unless he's taking a breath or, on the rare occasion, singing a song as himself. To call Terry Fator a master of puppets would be an under appreciation for his show and talents. But to call him the best singer on the Strip, who doesn't open his mouth more than half an inch, while using puppets and providing endless comedy might be more accurate. Unfortunately, that's really hard to fit on a billboard.

Sounds like a great show to me. Who knows? Maybe I will have to check him out one of these days. If he ever comes to New York that is. My guess is that won't be for a long time as he continues to be one of the top selling acts in Las Vegas. By the way for those of you looking for tickets to see Terry Fator you are in luck. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Terry Fator at the Mirage in Las Vegas. Until next time Vegas fans.

Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the Sooner State. That's right. I am talking about the great state of Oklahoma. Ardmore to be exact. Yesterday evening I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in June and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. Their choices. Mamma Mia and Newsies. Two shows that I have never seen. Oh well. Just because I don't want to see them doesn't mean other people won't. Tickets To Cirque du Soleil: Mystere in Las Vegas

Well would you look at that. Another Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. How many does that make now? Six. That's five too many as far as I am concerned but I am not one to judge. I mean what do I know? I've never even seen one. Oh well. It's not like their going to be leaving Sin City any time soon. They are here to stay my friends. Now for you Cirque fans out there that want to see the show but would like more info about it here is a brief synopsis about Mystere from the shows official website. Enjoy!

From rebirth to the pursuit of happiness, each of the characters and acts in Mystère symbolizes something different. They combine to create an overall theme for the show as a celebration of the circle of life. Some audience members may interpret each act as an allegory, but with the innovative costumes and performances, realizing those themes isn't necessary for enjoying this show.

What makes Mystère so endearing is that many of the performances are typical circus-style acts like the flying trapeze, an aerialist and the teeterboard, an acrobatic tool where a person jumps on one end of what looks like a seesaw and the person on the other end is launched into the air. However, in Mystère, the boundaries of those disciplines are pushed, creating fantastical routines that you won't see in any other production.

For instance, in the hand-to-hand routine, two muscular men demonstrate a series of gravity-defying poses and their incredible strength, but they don't even perform on a flat surface. In Mystère, the men do this while balancing on a rotating dome, adding to the awesomeness of their routine.
The Tissu act is another example. In this routine a female aerialist performs while suspending herself with two pieces of fabric hanging from the ceiling.

This type of act can be seen in other shows on the Strip, but in Mystère the performer combines contortion, acrobatics and movement in her routine, creating optical illusions that defy imagination.
Music played by live musicians and singers drives the show. Mixing elements of everything from rock to Celtic, African and soul music, the soundtrack is just as mysterious as the action on stage.

Now even I'll admit that sounds interesting. Who knows? Maybe one of these days I will head out to Las Vegas and check it out. Stranger things have happened. By the way for those of you who want tickets to see Cirque du Soliel Mystere you are in luck. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but all shows and events in Las Vegas. Tickets to Eddie Griffin In Las Vegas

Eddie Griffin in Las Vegas? Now that is something that I would definitely want to see my friends. Now I don't know about you but I think he is hysterical. Always has been. From his days on the UPN sitcom Malcolm and Eddie to starring roles in Undercover Brother and My Baby's Daddy. Oh the good old days of cinema. Oh sure they may not have been blockbusters but they were funny and that's what counts. Now even though I am sure you know who he is I have decided to give you a little more info on him just in case you need a little more convincing. So here you go.

With more than 30 years of performing on his resume, Griffin has no problem working the room. He talks to the audience while sipping a champagne drink he refers to as a "liquid blunt" and smoking cigarettes. Most of his jokes seem like prepared material, but he also demonstrates his talent for creating off-the-cuff comedy based on comments from the audience. Griffin doesn't spotlight people like insult comics do, but he does address boisterous individuals who shout things out during the show. The intimate showroom means that even the seats in the back are close to the stage.

More than anything Griffin lets the audiences at his shows know how much he loves performing. Making people laugh is a natural talent for Griffin, and getting paid for it is an opportunity the comic doesn't take for granted.

Still not convinced? Then I don't know what else to say. I guess you could always see Carrot Top. Anyway for those of you who want tickets to see Eddie Griffin you have come the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this particular show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Eddie Griffin at the Rio Theatre in Las Vegas. Until next time comedy fans.

Tickets to Cirque du Soleil Love in Las Vegas

Now I know that I have mentioned in previous blogs that I have never been to a Cirque du Soleil show. It just isn't my thing I guess. Don't get me wrong. I love The Beatles. Who doesn't? I just don't know if I could sit thru two hours of all that acrobatics. Oh well. It's not like the producers of the show are losing any sleep because I haven't seen it. Trust me. They sell enough tickets on their own. Anyway for those of you who are heading over to Las Vegas and want more information about the show here is a synopsis about it from the official website. Enjoy!

The journey starts with the energetic "Get Back" at the scene of The Beatles' farewell concert and then flashes back to Liverpool during World War II when the band members were young children.
No journey through the '60s would be complete without a trip through the era of Beatlemania. Acrobats and tumblers on trampolines perform, accompanied by "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "Drive My Car."

"Help" serves as the soundtrack for four extreme sports athletes who take the stage leaping 11 foot ramps on inline skates."Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Octopus's Garden" are the perfect backdrops for Cirque's famous aerial ballet moves.

The show even features a "jam session" created from authentic recordings of the four band members. All of the audio clips and music in the show are from actual recordings from The Beatles' Abbey Road studio. The show concludes with its namesake "All You Need is Love," as a montage of photos of The Beatles plays on huge screens, leaving the audience with a feeling of nostalgia for a bygone era.

O.K. I'll admit it does sound interesting. Who knows? Maybe I'll have to check it out one of these days. Now for those of you who want tickets to see Cirque du Soleil Love you are in luck my friends. Tickets To Rod Stewart in Las Vegas

Finally! An act in Las Vegas that not only have I heard of but actually like. Imagine that? Rod Stewart, your favorite singer and mine is set to begin performances at Caesars Palace on February 23 and play thru February 9. Now for those of you who have been living under a rock for the last forty years and have no idea who is here is some more info about the one and only Rod Stewart. Enjoy!

Rod Stewart's new show in Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace showcases Stewart, 66, belting out his greatest hit songs in his distinctive raspy voice. A live band and three back-up singers and dancers join him on stage as he performs “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright),” “I Don’t Want to Talk About It” and other well-known numbers. A large video screen displaying various projected images and video clips creates the backdrop for Stewart and his band.

Throughout his career Stewart has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. In 1994 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Stewart’s music may have changed over the years, but he’s always maintained some variation of his signature spiky hairstyle. He adopted this look when he was 18 as part of the Mod lifestyle that originated in London in the late ’50s. His hair has become so iconic that Stewart’s face isn’t even featured on billboards for his new show in Vegas. Instead, the advertisements feature a backside shot of the performer’s head and his wild hair to promote his shows.

Whether it’s the man behind the music or the hair on top of his head, there’s something magnetic about Stewart that fans just can’t seem to get enough of. More than just the song lyrics, Stewart is living proof that “Some Guys Have All the Luck.”

Now if that doesn't make you want to hop on the next flight to Las Vegas then I don't not what will. By the way for those of you looking to get tickets to see Rod Stewart you are in luck my friends. Not only do we sell tickets to this event but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Rod Stewart at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. You will love it.

Tickets To Absinthe In Las Vegas

Here we go again. Another show in Las Vegas that I know nothing about. What is that make now? A hundred. O.K I'm over exaggerating. It's only been five. Trust me. I'm sure there will be more. I mean it's not Broadway. Anyway for those of you like me who want to know more about Absinthe here is a brief synopsis about the show from the official website. Enjoy!

There's a large white tent located in front of Caesars Palace. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but don't be fooled. This humdrum structure is home to one of the wildest shows on the Las Vegas Strip. One step inside and you're transported to the Moulin Rouge. The walls are decorated with colorful stained-cut glass, mirrors and kitschy artifacts. In the center of the tent is a tiny stage with seating situated around it.

It's the perfect setting for Absinthe, an adults-only, circus-style spectacular that combines old-world burlesque with specialty acts and outrageous comedy. You won't find much refinement here, but for guests who want a show that's daring, racy and over-the-top, you might just want to order a double when it comes to Absinthe.

Another adults only show in Las Vegas. Make sense to me. They don't call it Sin City for nothing. By the way for those of you looking for ticksts to see Absinthe you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets for this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Absinthe at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Until next time Vegas fans.

Customer Story

What? Two customer stories in a row from Texas? What can I say? I guess Texans just love the Big Apple. What's not to love right? Anyway this past Saturday I received a call from a travel agent who's client was coming to New York this Summer and wanted to go to a show. Nothing like planning ahead right? Actually she wanted to see one show (Wicked) and then also wanted tickets to the US Open. That's tennis just in case any of you were wondering. So now that I knew what they wanted to see and when I needed to find out where they wanted to sit and how much they wanted to spend. Now while Wicked has been playing for almost a decade it is still one of Broadway's most popular shows.

Not bad for a show that didn't get very good reviews when it opened back in 2003. Take that critic's. Luckily I was able to find them some great seats in the second row of the Front Mezzanine right on the center aisle. Great indeed. Since they only wanted the day session I had less inventory to work with. Plus the fact that it was five tickets made it a little more difficult as most tickets were for either four or six together. Thankfully I was able to find a very nice broker who was willing to sell me five out of ten tickets. Plus they were lower than the customer had seen anywhere else. Not only did she love the tickets that I sold her but the agent told me that she would probably be calling back on Monday to purchase another five tickets to the US Open for the day before. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To Vegas! The Show In Las Vegas

A show about Las Vegas in Las Vegas? What will they think up next? Now like the last few shows that I have blogged about I have no idea what this one is about. Yes I know it's about Las Vegas. However I'm sure there is more to the story than that. So let's find out shall we? Sit back. Relax and enjoy this brief synopsis about Vegas! The Show from the official website. Enjoy!

Las Vegas was built on pure, raw talent. That's producer David Saxe's stance and the concept behind his new creation VEGAS! The Show at Saxe Theater. The show celebrates iconic moments from the city's rich entertainment history through the performances of 40 singers and dancers and 11 musicians.

Born into a show business family, Saxe grew up watching some of the great acts that made Vegas what it is today - the Entertainment Capital of the World. His dad was a bandleader for some of the biggest performers on the Las Vegas Strip, including the Rat Pack, while his mom was a dancer in "Folies Bergere" at the Tropicana. She performed even while she was pregnant with Saxe in 1969.

When he was 17, Saxe became the youngest producer in Vegas when he launched his sister's show, Melinda the First Lady of Magic. During the past 20 years he has produced more than 100 shows. He currently has 13 shows in production at Saxe Theater and his other venue V-Theater, both located at the Miracle Miles Shops at Planet Hollywood.

As someone who grew up loving everything about Vegas entertainment, VEGAS! The Show is a way for Saxe to celebrate the city's colorful past with audiences today.VEGAS! The Show opens with a custodian named Ernie who works at the neon sign graveyard. Clad in a blue jumpsuit, Ernie reminisces about some of the most memorable entertainers who played Vegas. Behind him is a lavish set piece resembling some of the neon signs that once graced the Strip, including signs for the Glass Pool Inn, the Silver Slipper and the Sands.

Sounds like a winner to me. What do you think? By the way for those of you heading to Las Vegas in the coming months you are in luck my friends. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Vegas! The Show at Planet Hollywood. Until next time theatre fans.

Tickets To Tournament of Kings In Las Vegas

Just like with my previous blog on Le Reve this is another show in Las Vegas that I know nothing about. So for those of you like me who want to know what Tournament of Kings is about here is a synopsis of the show from it's official website. So away we go.

Travel back to the Middle Ages and experience a celebration of Medieval proportions at Excalibur's Tournament of Kings. This dinner and show features jousting, dancing, singing and a feast fit for a king. The show is a fun way to combine getting dinner with experiencing the excitement that ensues when knights in shining armor on horses duel to determine a champion.

Guests are seated in an arena-style setting with each section representing a different "country." Four-rows deep, the arena is divided into seven "country" sections and the "dark knight" section, which represents the evil Mordred's minions. During the show guests are encouraged to cheer on the king representing their section as the knights go head to head in various competitions including a horse race, jousting, sword fighting and gladiator-style battles.

Once seated, guests are served the first portion of their dinner, "dragon's blood" (hot tomato soup.) Just like what real lords and ladies would have experienced back in the Middle Ages, utensils are not provided, and patrons have to eat with their hands. Servers also come around during this time to fill drink orders. Along with soda and juice, an assortment of alcoholic beverages are available for purchase during the show.

Merlin and a court jester get the crowd going by introducing three cheering methods that actively engage everyone in the audience. After a hearty dose of merriment from Merlin and the jester a drum processional files into the arena to announce the entrance of King Arthur. Next, the other kings are announced, each blazing into the arena on a galloping horse.

The knights are dressed in costumes rich in color and design, and each of their horses is adorned with bright plumage. The costumers were designed by Michel Fresnay, who was nominated for a best-costume Emmy in 1989 for the television production of "Napoleon and Josephine."
During this time, dinner consisting of a roasted Cornish hen, steamed vegetables and a biscuit is served. While the audience dines, a large round table is lowered into the center of the arena where King Arthur and the other knights also partake in the feast, raising their glasses and toasting to the joyous occasion. Dessert is served afterwards and includes a sweet pastry.

After a song and dance number by the court maidens, the knights set aside their glasses and engage in some friendly competition to determine who is the champion king."If you want to win you must cheer," announces Merlin as he and the maidens encourage each section to root for their king.
Audience members embrace the opportunity to be loud and cheer when the king representing their "country" is doing well or boo when he is losing the competition.

The competition is interrupted when evil Mordred, the fire wizard, appears and attempts to capture King Arthur's kingdom. The kings unite to try and defeat the dark knight in a series of action-packed battles. Fire, smoke, explosions and of course more cheering from the audience fill the arena. Swords clash and sparks fly as the battle between good and evil proceeds until finally one side is defeated.
Tournament of Kings brings all the action from the Medieval period that you've seen in movies and read about in history books right to your dinner table. Audiences of all ages can enjoy this raucous celebration.

Now look people. I never promised you that it would be a brief description. After all how else will you decide if you want to see it or not. By the way for those of you looking for tickets to see Tournament of Kings you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this show bit every show and event in Las Vegas. Tickets To Le Reve In Las Vegas

Since I first started blogging about Las Vegas shows this is the first one I know nothing about. Oh sure I never heard of Legwarmers: An 80's Musical until two days ago but I do know what a legwarmer is. Who doesn't? Now for those of you like me who has never heard of Le Reve here is a description of it from the shows website.

Leave reality behind and experience the fantastical world of Le Rêve, created by Franco Dragone, at Wynn. French for the dream, Le Rêve, depicts a colorful aquatic wonderland of beautiful and mystifying characters. The experience starts when you first enter the theater and realize that this is not your typical showroom. The circular 1608-seat theater is situated around a pool that is 68-and-a-half-feet in diameter with the furthest seat only 42 feet from the water. The 27-foot-deep pool is kept at a comfortable 89 degrees Fahrenheit.

Not only does the in-the-round theater put guests at a unique vantage point, but it also makes them feel like they are part of the show as there is no clear line between the audience and the stage. Gymnasts, aerialists and synchronized swimmers appear from every angle, at times ascending from the water, descending from the high arched ceiling or running through the theater and alongside the audience. If you are seated by an aisle, you never know when you are going to look to your side and see a masked face or other curious character staring right back at you.

Le Rêve has a loosely woven storyline that begins with a woman and man dancing and then saying goodnight and goodbye to each other. The man departs the stage, and the woman lies down to rest on a bed. Together the woman and the bed slowly disappear underwater, signifying that her spectacular dream is about to begin.

Sounds interesting don't you think? Now for those of you looking for tickets for this show or any show or event in Las Vegas you are in luck my friends. Not only do we sell this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Le Reve at the Wynn Las Vegas. Until next time Vegas fans.

Tickets To David Copperfield In Las Vegas

I can't remember a time growing up that I wasn't a fan of David Copperfield. Not only did I watch every one if his CBS Specials in the 80's and 90's but I even video taped them so I could watch it over and over again. What can I say? I was a fan. Now for those of you who have been living under a rock for the past forty years and have no idea who David Copperfield is here is a brief description of him from the shows official website. Enjoy!

You have probably seen him on television performing incredible illusions such as making the Statue of Liberty disappear, navigating the rapids of Niagara Falls and flying over the Grand Canyon. Master magician David Copperfield seems to have done it all. His show in Las Vegas is a unique opportunity for audiences to see these larger-than- life illusions performed live and up close in the Hollywood Theater at MGM Grand.

Of course he can't exactly re-create all of them, but he demonstrates similar and equally amazing illusions using objects that are more suitable for a stage setting. Man do i wish I lived in Las Vegas could I would love to see this.

Now for those of you heading over to Las Vegas in the coming months and want tickets to see David Copperfield you have come to the right place my friends. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see David Copperfield at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Until next time magic fans.

Tickets To Peepshow In Las Vegas

I'm sure you can guess by the title that Peepshow is not what you would call a family show. Now don't worry I won't leave you in suspense about what the show is about so here is a synopsis of Peepshow from the shows website. Enjoy!

Nursery rhymes get a naughty twist in this sultry spectacular. Developed by Tony award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell ("Legally Blonde," "Hairspray") and BASE Entertainment, Peepshow demonstrates the art of tease mixed with humor, a high-energy contemporary soundtrack and all of the glamorous production elements found only in Vegas.

More than just steamy dance numbers, Peepshow tells a story of sexuality and empowerment that all women can relate to. It begins with a black-and-white video of a woman, "Bo Peep," who longs to find her perfect match. After a hard day of work, the woman drifts off to sleep reading a fairytale story. She finds herself lost in a dream much like the pages of her book.

The character "Peep Diva" is the mistress of ceremonies and "Bo Peep's" guide and mentor as she meets different characters throughout her journey. Each scene is themed with a different nursery rhyme and a popular song like Aerosmith's "Pink," Cristina Aguilara's "Aint No Other Man" and Ginuwine's "Pony." The catchy lyrics tell a narrative while the dancers perform both covered and topless routines.

Like I said. This is definitely not a show to take the little kiddies to see. Now for those of you looking for tickets to see Peepshow you are in luck my friends. Not only do we sell this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Peepshow at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Until next time Vegas fans.

Tickets To Defending The Caveman In Las Vegas

Now while I never saw Defending the Caveman when it played in New York I only heard good things about it. In fact it still holds the record of the longest running one man show in Broadway history. This production which stars comedian Kevin Burke has been playing in the Broadway tour of the show since 2003. Now for those of you who are not familiar with Defending the Caveman here is a description of it from the shows website.

"If I'm watching [television] and Karen comes to talk to me, I can't even hear her," jokes Burke.
He uses many funny scenarios like this during the show to narrate the different ways that men and women respond to the same situations and the hilarity that arises from them.

As Burke shares more instances from his life, couples in the audience laugh and nudge each other, acknowledging that they relate to his experiences. Single people in the audience find the show equally amusing and also enlightening on how to better interpret the opposite sex on their next date.

His typical audience includes everyone from young people visiting for a wild weekend to people celebrating bachelorette parties, anniversaries or just a good time in Vegas. While this show is scripted, Burke refers to the audience for inspiration and to help dictate each performance.

"Even though I am the one who has all the lines, the show is really a conversation with the audience. The way they react to the show will then affect me and the way I perform the next line… Every audience is different so it's as though I have a brand new acting partner every night," said Burke during an interview.

Sounds like a fun night in the theatre if you ask me. By the way for those of you who wish to purchase tickets to Defending the Caveman you have come to the right place. Tickets To Tony and Tina's Wedding In Las Vegas

Now believe it or not but in all the year's that I have lived in New York I never saw Tony and Tina's Wedding when it played here. Although I can recall seeing a couple of the actor's from the show walking around in their costumes. Let's face it. It's hard to miss a bride and groom walking down a street in Times Square. Anyway for those of you who are not familiar with Tony and Tina's Wedding here is a description of it from the shows official website.

When audiences attend Tony n' Tina's Wedding, they're not simply seeing a show, they're participating in a show.Perhaps "audiences" isn't even the correct term, because instead of sitting back and watching a performance, attendees are asked to set aside reality for a couple of hours and actually become "guests" at the nuptials of Anthony Nunzio Jr. and Valentina Lynne Vitale, an Italian-American couple who come from two slightly dysfunctional families.

When the two stereotypically Italian families get together at the wedding and reception, it's fodder for "America's Funniest Home Videos," complete with drunken guests (including the priest), family bickering, a pregnant maid of honor, bridesmaids with big hair and tacky red dresses and a flamboyant brother of the bride. From the beginning, the guests are asked to be part of the show by singing along with a hymn at the wedding.

Then, it's off to the reception where a wedding singer and live DJ encourage everyone to dance to standard wedding fare like the infamous chicken dance, the dollar dance and "YMCA."
Just like most wedding receptions, this one includes food. A buffet-style Italian dinner is served as part of the show. The buffet options vary depending upon which ticket type you purchased.

There's also the bouquet toss, the throwing of the garter and the ubiquitous wedding photographer snapping photos at every opportunity. Guests can later purchase the photos of themselves with the family.

Whether you choose to participate by talking and dancing with the family (who are all actors that are never out of character) or you just sit back and watch the comedy unfolding, Tony n' Tina's Wedding is a show that anyone who has ever attended a wedding can relate to.

I never promised it would be a brief description now did I? By the way for those of you want tickets to see Tony and Tina's Wedding you are in luck. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show and event in Las Vegas. Get your tickets to see Tony and Tina's Wedding at Bally's in Las Vegas. Until next time theatre fans.

Tickets To Penn and Teller In Las Vegas

Now I don't know about you but I have been a fan of Penn and Teller for I don't know how long. Actually I do. Thanks to a wikipedia search that I did. For some reason when I was about thirteen years old I decided to buy a video of Penn and Teller's Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends. You remember those don't you? Anyway from then on I was hooked.

Now while I've never had any desire to visit Las Vegas I would just to see those two. They are amazing. Check them out next time you are there if you get the chance. By the way for those of you who want more information about Penn and Teller here is a description about them from the shows official website. Enjoy!

Penn & Teller's edgy show is unlike any other magic production in Las Vegas. The tall, lanky Penn serves as a narrator, providing a running comedic commentary on just about everything they do, while the diminutive Teller provides a lot of the shows action, all without saying a single word. The pair manages to reveal a few tricks of their trade along the way, while turning around and completely stumping you with others.

Penn & Teller take some of the mystery out of the aforementioned cups and balls trick - a standard magic act where a magician makes balls pass through the solid bottoms of the cups, jump from one cup to another, or disappear from the cup and appear in other places. They perform the act with see-through plastic cups, allowing the audience to see exactly how it works...or do they? Part of the joke is that during the explanation, they do the trick so quickly, that it makes it pretty difficult to follow.

Penn & Teller's show relies heavily on audience interaction. Several audience members are chosen to come up and be part of some tricks and to help confirm the authenticity of others. In one vignette, the trick is actually played on the volunteer while the audience gets to watch. The volunteer is blindfolded while Penn pretends to throw knives at her. Then, again blindfolded, she is tricked into believing she throws knives at Penn.

While the audience does get to see behind the scenes during these parts of the show, other tricks the duo performs leave viewers completely mystified. Penn takes the eyeglasses from an audience member and puts them in his pocket. They somehow disappear from his pocket and end up inexplicably on Teller's face, which has been encased in a wooden box the whole time.
Teller makes coins appear out of a clear tank of water, puts them back in and goldfish magically take their place.

While there are some elements of classic magic and sleight of hand in the show, most of the tricks are incredibly creative, innovative and sometimes bordering on the macabre. Teller appears to swallow needles and then a piece of thread. He then proceeds to pull the needles, all neatly threaded together, out of his mouth.

Notice I didn't say it was a brief description. Now for those of you heading to Las Vegas in the near future and want to get tickets to Penn and Teller you have come to the right place.
