Customer Story

Aladdin
Today's customer story comes all the way from the "Lone Star" state. That's right. I am talking about the great state of Texas. McAllen to be exact. Earlier this week, I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in November, and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here.

Well as it turns out, she had called us back in May to order tickets for Cats for the same client. Now she wanted tickets to another two shows. Not only that, but her friends wanted tickets to a show as well. In the end I was able to get her great seats in the Center Front Mezzanine for Aladdin,  and Center Front Mezzanine tickets for The Phantom of the Opera for her friend. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

What To See In New York City

Image result for new york city animated picWhat a strange Summer theatre fans. One day it's hotter than....well you know. Then there are days like today where a fan or air conditioner isn't necessary. Make up your mind will you? Oh well. I guess I shouldn't really complain because my favorite season is just around the corner. FALL!!!

And what better to celebrate it than by seeing a show? Or maybe theatre isn't your thing? Now don't get me wrong. I love the theatre. And let's face it. New York City is the theatre capitol of the world. Doesn't mean there are aren't other things to see and do while you are here. Take me out to the ballgame anyway?

Or maybe basketball is more your scene. Being a huge New York Knicks fan, I can tell you that there is no better feeling than seating in the stands watching your home team play. Even when they lose. Or maybe you are more into Opera or ballet? We sell that too. That's what is so great about New York City. There truly is something for everyone. So why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did. Until next time New York fans.

Customer Story

The Terms of My SurrenderToday's customer story comes all the way from the "Hoosier State". That's right I am talking about the great state of Indiana. Indianapolis to be exact. Earlier this week, I received a call from a gentleman who was visiting New York next week and wanted to see a show while he was here.

I asked him how he had heard about us, and he told me a friend of his who uses us all the time had recommended us. So anyway after finding out when he was going to be here, I asked him what he wanted to see. Well as it turns out, his first and only choice was one of this season's most highly anticipated new shows.

That's right. I am talking about The Terms Of My Surrender. Now is case you didn't know, the show is written by and starring documentary filmmaker and author Michael Moore. Sounds like it could be quite the evening don't you think? In the end, I was able to get him a great ticket in the second row of the Front Mezzanine, just a few seats off the aisle. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Twenty-Six Years And Counting Blue Man Group Is A Hit

Blue Man GroupAugust 17, 1991. Care to guess what happened on that date? Well you guessed correctly if you said that was the date that Blue Man Group opened Off-Broadway. Hard to believe it's been that long since this unique and innovative show took New York City by storm. Not too mention the world.

Now I'll admit that I have never seen the show. In fact in all the years that I have lived in New York, I have only seen maybe two or three shows Off-Broadway. Thankfully Blue Man Group is not going anywhere anytime soon. Who knows? I just might have to check it out one of these days. Now for those of you who haven't seen the show, or for those of you who want to see it again, you are in luck. We sell it.

Plus if you call right now, you can get tickets to see the show at prices that can't be beat. Be advised that while this "Special Offer" is good thru October 1, it is for select seats, and as always subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Kinky Boots TicketsToday's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Texas. Houston to be exact. A couple of days ago, I received a call from a customer who was travelling to London in September and wanted to see a show. I asked her how she heard of us, and as it turns out her friend who's a travel agent uses us for her client's.

Plus her friend was also going to be in London at the same time as her, and had already purchased tickets to see Kinky Boots. Which she got thru us by the way. Anyway, I looked up her friend's order to see where she was sitting, and then contacted the theatre to see if they had seats still available.

Well not only did they still have tickets, but the seats right next to hers were available. To say that her friend was pleased was an understatement. Not only that, but they were lower than she was expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Kelsey Grammer To Make London Stage Debut

Image result
That's right theatre fans. Frasier Crane is headed to the West End. No, they are not making a musical version of the beloved NBC sitcom. Kelsey Grammer, who was nominated for a Tony Award in 2011 for La Cage Aux Folles, and most recently starred on Broadway in Finding Neverland, will make his London debut in the musical Big Fish.

The show, which premiered on Broadway in October 2013, will begin performances at The Other Palace in London on November 1, and play thru December 31. The Broadway production, which received mixed reviews, ran less than four months, and was a financial flop.

Here's hoping the London production fares better. Fingers crossed. Oh and one more thing, We will be selling tickets to the show. Well that and every other show in London. Get your tickets to see Kelsey Grammer in Big Fish at The Other Palace in London. Until next time theatre fans.

Drama At The Great Comet

Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812Exciting news theatre fans. Tony winner, and Broadway legend Mandy Patinkin is joining the cast of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Wait a minute. Not so fast. Less than twenty-four hours after the acclaimed actor was announced to take over the leading role of Pierre from fellow actor Okieriete “Oak” Onaodowan, he issued the following statement to the New York Times.

“My understanding of the show’s request that I step into the show is not as it has been portrayed and I would never accept a role knowing it would harm another actor,” Mr. Patinkin said. “I hear what members of the community have said and I agree with them. I am a huge fan of Oak and I will, therefore, not be appearing in the show.”

Mr Pantinkin was scheduled to begin performances on August 15 and play thru September 3. It was also announced that Mr. Onaodowan, who took over for Tony nominee Josh Groban on July 11, will not be returning to the production. While sales have dropped since Mr. Groban departed on July 2, the show continues to gross high numbers at the box office. Here's hoping this latest controversy won't effect ticket sales, and the show will continue to run for the foreseeable future. Until next time theatre fans.
