That's right theatre fans. One of the Great White Way's most successful shows is in the news once again. Wicked, which will celebrate it's fourteenth year on Broadway this Fall, has reached another milestone. As of July 9, the show has surpassed The Phantom of the Opera to become the second highest grossing show in Broadway history. Since the show opened in October 2003, it has grossed over one billion dollars at the box office. So who is number one? Why none other than Disney's The Lion King, which will celebrate it's twentieth anniversary this November. Now the only question is will the Wicked Witch of the West ever topple the once and future king? I guess we'll find out. Until next time theatre fans.
