Still haven't seen the new Broadway revival of A Little Night Music yet? Well to be honest I guess it technically isn't new anymore as it opened almost eight months ago. Now while the show turned out to be a success at the box office and was nominated for Best Musical Revival it feels like a new production due to it's two new leading ladies in the form of Tony winners Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch.
Except for Company and the most recent revival of Sunday In The Park With George I am not a big Sondheim fan. Plus the show just looked boring to me. What do I know? Most of my favorite shows of the last few years closed after just a few months. Anyway the show is scheduled to reopen tomorrow night following a month long hiatus to allow the cast to rehearse with it's two new stars.
Tickets are on sale thru January 2011 so I assume that means that Ms. Peters and Ms. Stritch have agreed to stay in the show for awhile. We shall see. By the way for those of you who still haven't seen the show you have come to the right place. From now thru September 5, 2010 you can get tickets to see this award winning production at prices that can't be beat. Be advised that this "Insider Deal" is subject to availability and can be pulled at anytime. Get your tickets to see A Little Night Music on Broadway. It may not be my cup of tea but it might just be yours. Until next time theatre fans.

Broadway Revival Of A Little Night Music To Remain Open
Well I guess the rumors were true. A Little Night Music which was scheduled to close on Sunday June 20 has gotten a new lease on life thanks in part to two new leading ladies in the form of Tony winners Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch. Following the final performance the show will temporarily close down to allow the new cast ample rehearsal time. It will then reopen on Tuesday night July 13.
Now while the show was a strong seller before I expect sales to go thru the roof now that two of Broadway's most beloved stars are now headlining the show. Ms. Peters was last seen on Broadway in the 2003 revival of Gyspy where she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical while Ms.Stritch won her first Tony Award in 2002 for her work in Elaine Stritch: At Liberty. No word on how long the two will be in the show but I strongly advise you get your tickets as soon as you can. Call now.
