Broadway Production Of Jersey Boy Celebrates Milestone

Has it really been almost five years since Jersey Boy opened on Broadway? Time sure does fly doesn't it? In fact the show will celebrate it's 2000th performance tomorrow. The show which won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical is still packing them in at the August Wilson Theatre eight times a week as well as at theatres in London, Australia, and Nationwide. Now unlike most people I wasn't too excited about the show when if was first announced. The truth is I'm not a big fan of the so called "Jukebox Musical".

I've never seen Mamma Mia and probably never will. So cut to two years into it's run and I finally broke down and saw the show. Turns out I loved it. In fact I would put it in the top ten shows that I have seen on Broadway in the last decade or so. Trust me It is amazing. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if it reaches another 2,000 performances before all is said and done.By the way for those of you who haven't seen the show now is the perfect time. Good seats are available for all performances so call now. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway or when it comes to a city near you. You will have the time of your life. I know I did. Until next time theatre fans.

Now Is The Best Time To Get Tickets To Jersey Boys On Broadway

Now in it's 4th sold out year is Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. The show which has been breaking box office records since it first premiered on Broadway in November 2005 is now doing the same in London, Chicago, and every where in between. Those of you who aren't familiar with the show, and let's face it there are very few who don't,the show tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

When it first opened it sounded interesting but I just never got around to seeing it until almost two years after it opened. It was sure worth the wait. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music to enjoy the show. Although that certainly helps. The show which is about to begin it's fifth year on Broadway is still one of the most popular shows. I dare say it's only competition is Wicked and just like Jersey Boys it continues to sell out eight times a week at the Gershwin Theatre.

Just to let you know the August Wilson which houses Jersey Boys is one of the smallest theatres on Broadway. Only 1200 seats. Not only that but the Front Mezzanine overhangs very close to the stage. Now while most of the action takes place on the main stage there is a raised platform(Catwalk) which takes up most of the stage as well. Therefor all the seats are good. By the way I saw the show from the last row upstairs on the side and I saw fine. So if I can see it so can you. Now for those of you who need to sit in the first ten rows center we do have access to those seats. Sure they may be a little more than the seats in the back but if you want them we can get them for you. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. You will have the time of your life. I sure did.

Oh What A New Night-See Jersey Boys On Broadway

Now in it's 4th year on Broadway is Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. The show which was not expected to be a hit when it first opened has been selling out nightly at the August Wilson Theatre since it opened to rave reviews in December 2005. When the show was first announced I didn't really think that it had a chance. After all most jukebox musicals don't usually last that long on Broadway. Mamma Mia being the exception of course. Even after all it's success I still avoided seeing the show until almost two years into the run. There was just so much hype behind it that I didn't think it could live up to my expectations. Boy was I wrong. I absolutely loved the show and if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend you do. No worries though. Jersey Boys will be here for a very long time. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. Just so you know we sell tickets to Jersey Boys in London and everywhere Nationwide too. Oh what a night indeed.

"Oh What A Night" Tony Winner Jersey Boys Still Going Strong

One of the biggest surprises for me in the past few years was Jersey Boys. I had avoided seeing the show for almost two years because to be perfectly honest I didn't think any show could live up to that much hype. That was the same reason I avoided seeing The Producers years ago. Not only was it worth the hype but it totally exceeded my expectations. What an amazing night in the theatre. Like most people who see the show I knew the music. What I didn't know was how much these four young guys from Jersey had to struggle to achieve their dreams. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and I think you will too. Plus if you call Applause now we can get you tickets to see this Tony Award winning musical on Broadway, London, or anywhere Nationwide. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys. You will have the time of your life.

Wicked and Jersey Boys. Sure there are nearly two dozen shows to see but when you sell as many tickets for Broadway as Applause Theater Service in New York does, the numbers tell the real story.

Both Wicked and Jersey Boys are original Broadway productions and have been selling out just about every show they've played for years running now. If you want to treat yourself and someone you care about to a very special day or night at the Broadway Theater, please let us hear from you.

Get tickets to see the new Franki Valli of "Jersey Boys" in Chicago with Applause Theatre Service!

Peter Gianopulos of North Shore Magazine has an interesting piece on Cory Grant. Grant says he still isn’t sure how he got the part — the chance to play Frankie Valli … in Jersey Boys … on Broadway — but to be honest with you, he isn’t quite sure he wants to know. If you won, in his words, “the lottery,” would you really want to know why the Quick Pick gods chose you?
“I must,” he says, “have filled all the requirements.”
Shorter than 5′8″. Can do the splits like Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. Can sing higher than Tiny Tim. And can grow a mane of black hair that would have made Elvis jealous.
What more does a man need to be a star? Visit NorthShoreMag.com to read the full story.
