Still haven't seen Priscilla Queen of the Desert yet? Well what are you waiting for people? There is no better time than right now. The show which is based on the 1994 cult film of the same name first premiered in Australia in October 2006 before opening in the West End in March 2009 where it will conclude it's run at the end of December. The Broadway production opened at the Palace Theatre on March 20, 2011 where it continues to entertain audiences of all ages eight times a week. Now while the show has always been an audience favorite it has struggled as of late at the box office.
Last week it hit a disappointing 53.2% capacity at the theatre. Now while September has always seen a drop in ticket sales those types of numbers are quite disappointing. The good news is that means that getting tickets to see the show is easier that even before. Now only that but at prices that are lower than ever. From now thru November 20 you can get tickets to see the show for below face value. That's right. I said below face value. Get your tickets to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert On Broadway. Good seats are available for every performance. So don't delay. Call now.

Customer Story
That's right theatre fans. It's time for this week's customer story. This past Sunday I received a call from one of my regular customers who was planning a last minute trip into the city and wanted to see two shows while she and her husband were here. Now in all the years that I have been providing her with tickets she has never ordered a musical. So imagine my surprise when she called me looking for two tickets to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Even though the show had not officially opened yet it is already selling very well. Luckily I was able to find her two seats in the Front Mezzanine.
Now was it dead center? No. Matter a fact it was all the way on the far side. Now I know what you're thinking. Why would I give one of best customer's crappy seats like that? Pardon my language but side Mezzanine at the Palace Theater are not bad seats. Believe it or not but in most theatres side Mezzanine is usually better than side Orchestra. For one you are elevated so you don't have to worry about people sitting in front of you blocking your view. Plus you know that with a musical there are going to be lots of big sets and large production numbers. Now do see why the Mezzanine is better? So anyway after taking care of Priscilla I asked her what she wanted to see for her second show. Wouldn't you know it but it was a play.
Let me guess. You're shocked right? Care to guess what she wanted to see? Let me give you a clue. It's a show that hasn't been revived on Broadway since it's original production and features an all-star cast. Give up? That Championship Season of course. The show which stars Kiefer Sutherland,Chris Noth,Jason Patric,Jim Gaffigan, and Brian Cox is one of this season's hottest selling shows. Now that doesn't mean I couldn't get her tickets. On the contrary. In fact I was able to get her seats ten rows from the stage on the center aisle. Now those are what I call good seats. So there you are. Two hot shows and good seats to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

See Broadway Bound Priscilla Queen Of The Desert For Below Face Value
A show about drag queens on Broadway? That will never work right? Wrong. How about a little show called La Cage Aux Folles. Winner of last year's Tony Award for Best Musical Revival and one of Broadway's most popular shows. Well what about the fact that the show features some of the biggest hits of the 70's and 80's. Hello?
Ever heard of Mamma Mia or Rock of Ages? Priscilla Queen of the Desert which is based on the 1994 cult film is not only one of this season's most highly anticipated new shows but continues to play to packed houses in the West End where it received a nomination for Best Musical of the Year. Previews for the Broadway production are set to begin at the Palace Theatre on February 28 with opening night scheduled for March 20.
Leading the cast are Tony nominee Will Swenson (Hair, Rock of Ages)) as Mitzi, Nick Adams (Guys and Dolls, La Cage Aux Folles) as Felicia, and Tony Sheldon who received a 2010 Olivier nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. Now while I saw the movie when it first opened I don't remember that much about it except that I recall laughing quite a bit.
What can I say? Drag queens lip-syncing to "Shake Your Grove Thing" and "I Will Survive" is as good as it gets. By the way good seats are still available for all performances. In fact of you call right now you can get tickets to Priscilla for prices that can't be beat. This "Special Offer" is good right now thru April 18 so don't delay. Get your tickets to see Priscilla Queen Of the Desert. I guarantee it will have you dancing in the aisles.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert Broadway Show – Three Drag Queens Head into the Australian Outback
Don’t miss your chance to see this classic film adaptation on the Broadway stage. Find out more at Applause-Tickets.com!
Priscilla Queen of the Desert
When The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert first hit the silver screen in 1994, the themes of sexuality, bigotry, and acceptance were especially relevant. The Australian film made history with its hilarious yet frank telling of the story of two drag queens and one transsexual who make their way across the Australian outback on their way to a show in a small town called Alice Springs.
The film provided the basis for the stage version of the story which opened in 2006 in Sydney, Australia to rave reviews. The show is now set to open on Broadway’s Palace Theatre Stage on March 20 with previews beginning February 28. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert Broadway show tells the story of three friends who venture into the Australian Outback on their way to a new job in the remote town of Alice Springs. The travelers include two drags queens and a transsexual woman who are set to perform nightly for a four week engagement at a hotel in Alice Springs. They rent a bus that they name Priscilla and set off on their grand adventure, meeting all kinds of characters along the way.
Some of the people they meet are not very keen on the idea of two homosexual men and one transsexual woman travelling through their town and choose violent means to express their homophobic opposition. You will be inspired by the humor, grace and dignity with which the group of travelers faces this hatred and bigotry. Their story of triumph is one that is still relatable to audiences everywhere.
