Let's be honest. When it comes to purchasing tickets for a show in New York or any city for that matter there are hundreds of different companies you can call. We just happen to be one of them. So what makes Applause different from all of the rest? Well location for one thing. Applause Theatre Service is located right in the heart of Times Square. Technically we are in the theatre district but I think Times Square sounds cooler. How many other ticket companies do you know that you can go right up to the office and purchase tickets? Not too many my friends.
Now walk-up service is just one of the many things that sets us apart from the rest. I bet you didn't know that when you call most companies they are not even located in New York. Yes I know that's nothing new. I don't know about you but when I buy tickets I like to know where I'm sitting. Wouldn't it make sense to speak to someone who's actually been in the theatre before? I myself have been in every Broadway Theatre multiple times. Therefore I know the best place to sit. Not only that but I actually go to the shows.
Now I realize that my tastes may not be like everybody else. Just because I didn't like it doesn't mean you will. My job is to offer my opinion and let you decide for yourself.However I'm not going to recommend a show that I didn't like just so I can make a sale. Never have. Never will. How many other companies can say that? Look whether you order from me or another company is ultimately your choice. I just hope that when it comes time to make your decision you have done your homework and found what works best for you. It's your dollar.

How to Buy Tickets for Broadway
It's important to know the company you are buying tickets from when planning to attend a Broadway Show.
So you are thinking about buying tickets for one of the current Broadway Shows playing. A quick Google search for "Broadway tickets" will yield you over 14 million different results along with 23 different advertisers that display ads on all results pages. Talk about confusion?
Right now you probably think I'm going to say something typical like "call our company, we're the best place to buy tickets for Broadway". Why would I do that? That would make me just another "pushy" sales man.
Most of us that shop on the Internet regularly realize that after a while, many companies all tend to resemble the next one. This is true when shopping for Broadway tickets as well.
In fact it seems that most of the Broadway ticket agencies that come up in the search results aren't even located in New York City. Does it make sense that these companies would really know everything about all the shows or what's happening in New York City? I would tend to think probably not. They also don't seem to display any kind of licensing information as required by the State of New York, Department of Licensing Division. Does it make sense to take a risk and purchase tickets for Broadway Theater not knowing if the company is legitimate or not?
