Tickets For Tina:The Tina Turner Musical To Go On Sale This Saturday

That's right theatre fans. One of this season's most highly anticipated new shows will soon be available. Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, which has been playing to packed houses in London eight times a week at the Aldwych Theatre, will finally make it's Broadway debut this Fall. Previews are set to begin at the Lunt-Fontanne on October 12 with opening night scheduled for November 7.

The show, which features over twenty-two classic songs including "Proud Mary", "Let's Stay Together", "Better Be Good To Me", "Private Dancer", and "What's Love Got To Do With It", is directed by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia), and choreographed by Anthony van Laast (Sister Act), and has a book by Katori Hall (The Mountaintop).

Also recreating her Olivier Award winning performance as Ms. Turner, is Tony Award nominee Adrienne Warren (Shuffle Along). Dave Chappelle To Make Broadway Debut This Summer

Exciting news theatre fans. Or should I say comedy fans? It was just announced, that Grammy and Emmy Award winning comedian Dave Chappelle, will make his Broadway debut next month at the Lunt-Fonatanne Theatre. Performances are scheduled to begin on July 9 and run thru July 13.

EGOT Winner Mel Brooks Named As Latest Headliner As Part Of In Residence Series

Exciting news theatre fans. One of the original "Kings Of Comedy" is headed to the Great White Way. Mel Brooks, whose 2001 production of The Producers holds the record for the most Tony Awards in history, will play at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on June 7 and 8.

The show, titled Mel Brooks on Broadway, is part of the brand new In Residence On Broadway series, which is being developed by Live Nation, The Araca Group, and Entertainment Benefits Group.

Previous artists already announced are Morrisey May 2-11, Yanni May 28-June 2, Regina Spektor June 20-26, and Criss Angel July 2-7. Additional acts for the rest of July are set to be announced in the coming weeks. Oh and one more thing. We here at Applause, are selling tickets for each and every one of these events as well.
