Is The Economy Effecting Broadway?

Unless you've been living under a rock you have probably heard that we are in the middle of an economic crisis. People are losing their jobs, and entire companies are going bankrupt. In these trying times you would think that the last thing people want to do is shell out hundreds of dollars to see a Broadway show right? Well that's what I thought too. But you know what? The phones are still ringing and people are still buying tickets to their favorite shows. I guess the saying is true."The more things change the more they stay the same." No matter what Broadway will always be here. To make us smile and to make us laugh. To make us cry and to make us think. Broadway is what makes the world a better place. If only for a little while.
