Today as I was walking to work as I found
myself taking my time as I made my way thru Times Square to my office on 43rd
Street and 8th Avenue. My office like many ticket brokers is in the theater
district. In fact I am only a steps away from some of Broadway's
most oldest and well known theatres. As I made my way up Broadway I stopped
at the Wintergarden Theatre (Mamma Mia) where I noticed a sign that was hanging
from the marquee. It read, "The Best Time On Broadway". Now since I have
never seen the show I really can't agree or disagree with that statement. Let's face it. A show doesn't run for over eleven plus years if people
aren't enjoying it. Having lived here for the better part of two decades I can
pick ten to fifteen other shows that I would pick as the "The Best Time On
Broadway". The thing is it doesn't really matter what I think. I usually see
the shows for free. That's one of the perks of working in this business. What
matter's is that we all continue to support the theatre. Now whether that's here in
New York or at some small theatre in your hometown it doesn't really matter. Until next time theatre fans.
