What To See In London

Now I'll admit that I have never been to London. It's not that I don't want to go. I just haven't done it. Yet. It's kind of ironic when you think about all of the blogs that I have written on the London theatre scene over the years. Thankfully, I have gotten the chance to see a lot of the shows that got there start in London, before coming to Broadway. Now for those of you that are heading to London, you are in luck. We sell every show in London. Of course the big question is what to see while you are there? As we speak there are over sixty-five plays and musicals playing in London. Here are a few you might want to check out while you are there.

Lady Day At Emerson's Bar and Grill- Starring six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as music legend Billie Holiday. The show, which will run from June 17 thru September 9, was scheduled to play last year. However due to Ms. McDonald's unexpected pregnancy, the show was postponed until this year. Trust me. This is one show that you do not want to miss.

Bat Out Of Hell- Can I tell you how excited I am about this show? If anything could make me head over to London this show would be it. Based on the multi-platinum selling album, Bat Out Of Hell features seventeen of Meat Loaf's greatest songs including I'd Do Anything For Love, Paradise By The Dashboard Light, You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad, and it's title song Bat Out Of Hell. As of now the show is only scheduled to play for short run. Here's hoping it extends.

Thriller-Live- Now in it's eighth celebrated year, Thriller-Live continues to excite audiences off all ages eight times a week at the Lyric Theatre. Not only does it feature all of Michael Jackson's solo hits, but songs from his days as part of the Jackson 5. Now if that doesn't make you want to see it than I don't know what will. Now I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan. So I'll admit that I was a little skeptical about the show. Then I saw a few clips from the London production. Let's just say that I was quite impressed. Hopefully you will too.

Now as I mentioned, those are just a few of the exciting plays and musicals playing in London. And don't forget, that we sell of all of them too. Just give one of the friendly ticket experts at Applause a call ,and we will do the rest. Also don't forget that Applause is open seven days a week. 365 days a year. That means we are always here to help with all of your ticket needs. Until next time theatre fans.
