Christmas Is Just Days Away

That's right theatre fans. Christmas is almost here. Now I don't know about you, but Christmas has always been on of my favorite holiday's. In fact, one of my favorite theatre memories happened during my first Christmas in New York. On that night, I saw She Loves Me at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Now for those of you that aren't familiar with the show, it takes place during the Christmas holidays. I mean can you think of a better way to celebrate the holiday? I sure can't. After the show, I headed to Rockefeller Center to see the tree. What a perfect night!

Now believe it or not, but in all the years that I have lived in New York, I have never been to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Oh well. I'm sure I will see it someday. I mean it's not like it's going anywhere right? Let's hope not. That's the great thing about New York during the holiday's. There is something for everyone. Happy Holidays!

Christmas Is Here

Yes I know Christmas is still almost four weeks away. But let's face it folks. It will be here before you know it. This coming week marks one of the busiest weeks in New York City. Four days ago was the Macy's Day Parade and in three days it will be time for the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center. Where does the time go? Now most people that are coming into town in the next couple of weeks are here to shop or see a show on Broadway or the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Yes I know the economy is not what it used to be. That doesn't mean there aren't some great deals out there. Currently there are over twenty-five shows running on Broadway and Off-Broadway that offer special "insider deal" prices. Spend that extra money on gifts or souvenirs for your family and then sit back and enjoy the show. Yes theatre can be expensive but it doesn't have to be.
