Kristin Chenoweth Headed To Broadway This Fall

For The Girls Album CoverNow that is what I call exciting news. That's right theatre fans. Everyone's favorite four foot eleven dynamo, is headed back to the Great White Way. Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, last seen on Broadway in My Love Letter to Broadway in November 2016, is set to play a limited engagement at the Nederlander Theatre from November 8, 2019 thru November 17.

For The Girls, which incidentally is the name of her new album, is as Ms. Chenoweth describes it, " A tribute to music’s most passionate women—those who have influenced her Tony-winning career." Featuring such classic songs like "The Way We Were", "When I Fall In Love", and "The Man Who Got Away", For the Girls is being directed by Richard J. Alexander, with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

Tickets for the show are set to go on sale on September 27. Which will coincide with the release of the album. Oh and did I mention that we will be selling it? The show of course. Not the album. Tickets are sure to go fast, so don't delay. Get your tickets to see Kristin Chenoweth in For The Girls on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.

Tony Winner Kristen Chenoweth To Return To Broadway This Fall

Image resultExciting news theatre fans. One of Broadway's most beloved stars is heading back to the stage for the first time since 2015. Kristen Chenoweth, last seen on Broadway in On The Twentieth Century, will star in My Love Letter To Broadway. The show, which will begin performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 2, will play thru November 13.

So what exactly will Miss Chenoweth be doing? Well I'll tell you. Or actually she will tell you. “I consider myself incredibly grateful to be joining the growing list of women who have brought their own concert to Broadway. I hope to honor this legacy, entertain the audience, and celebrate the fulfillment of a life-long dream. My engagement at the Lunt-Fontanne is my love letter, intended to share with the world where my true love lies... Broadway.”

Besides singing some of her favorite musical theatre songs, she will also be performing a few selections from her upcoming album The Art of Elegance. Sounds like a great evening to me. Tickets are set to go on sale on September 17. Not only that but we will be selling them. It just get's better and better now doesn't it? Get your tickets to see Kristen Chenoweth in My Love Letter To Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.

Finian's Rainbow To Close

Earlier this week it was announced that Ragtime was closing and now comes news that Finian's Rainbow will play it's final performance on January 17. This marks the third revival along with Bye Bye Birdie to close after a short run. When you consider the fact that Finian's got rave reviews across the board it is a little disheartening to say the least. When it closes it will leave A Little Night Music as the lone revival from this season still playing. However there is good news ahead. A new revival of Promises,Promises starring Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth is scheduled to open this Spring at the Broadway Theatre. As much as I am looking forward to seeing it I worry it may get swallowed up in a house as big as the Broadway. We will soon find out. Until next time theatre fans.
