2019 Production Of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker Now On Sale

That's right theatre fans. The holidays are just around the corner. Well technically it's still sixty-seven days until Thanksgiving, but who's counting? Now when most people visit New York during the holiday's, the first show they usually think about is the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Makes sense as the show has been playing for over eighty-five years. But maybe you've already seen it, and want to try something a little different this holiday season.

Well have I got the show for you. George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. Oh come now. I know you've heard of it. The show, which first premiered 1954 at New York's City Center, will play a limited engagement at the David H. Koch Theatre from November 29 thru January 5, 2020. Customer Story

Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of South Dakota. Pierre to be exact. Earlier this week, I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planing a trip to New York at the end of this month, and wanted to see a few shows while she and her husband were here. I take that back. They actually wanted to see four shows. Now I love going to the theatre, but four shows in four days? I don't think even I could do that.

Anyway, after finding out when they would be here, I asked what her client wanted to see. Her choices? The Book of Mormon, To Kill A Mockingbird, Ain't Too Proud, and Balanchine at the NYC Ballet. Quite the lineup of shows don't you think? Now since they were only going to be there for a short time, they knew that they would have to see at least two of the shows on the same day.Thankfully, I was able to do that and still leave them plenty of time after the matinee to get a bite to eat before the evening show.Two down. Two to go.

Now when it came to securing tickets for To Kill A Mockingbird, they knew that tickets might be hard to come by. Not too mention expensive. Thankfully, I was able to find them great seats in the Center Orchestra. And at at price that was lower than they were expecting. Three shows down. One to go. Their fourth and final show was Balanchine at the NYC Ballet. Initially when the agent called they wanted to see an entirely different ballet. Unfortunately it wasn't available. However, after I told the agent that this particular ballet was being choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon, they were very excited as they had seen his production of An American in Paris a few years ago, and loved it. So there you have it folks. Four great shows, with great seats and prices to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?
