A feature film version of Tracy Letts' "August: Osage County" is coming to the big screen according to reports from Variety.
"So many actors and stars have come to see it on Broadway, and we've gotten inquiries," Doumanian, Woody Allen's longtime producer and a member of the August Broadway producing team , told Variety. "People are enthusiastic about the film version." Broadway lead producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel will executive produce the film.
August tells the story of the dysfunctional Weston clan of rural Oklahoma, who gather at the family home after the disappearance of the patriarch. A hit at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre last summer, the play transferred to Broadway in the fall and is currently running at the Music Box Theatre.
