You've seen the movie. Now see the show. Yes we all know that the show came first. However there is no denying that one of the main reasons the show is coming back is largely due to the success of the film. Believe it or not but I have never seen the show. Well not all the way through anyway. It's funny but growing up I loved listening to the cast recording of the show. Cut to almost fifteen years later I finally got around to seeing it and I was bored to tears. Although in their defense the show had been running for a long time by that point and I'm sure some of the actor's were probably tired of it too. You know what? Forgot I said that. I saw the most recent revival too and I was bored by that too. Maybe I just don't like the show or maybe I would rather listen to it instead of seeing it.
Who knows? Maybe the third time will be the charm and I will stick around and see the whole thing. Stranger things have happened. The show which last played the Great White Way back in January 2008 is scheduled to begin previews at it's former home the Imperial Theatre on March 1, 2014 with opening night set for March 23.
