Shakespeare Is The Thing This Season On Broadway

Now believe or not but in all the years that I have lived in New York I have never seen a play by William Shakespeare. I know right? I've seen practically everything else but not one play by one of the world's greatest playwright's of all time. Luckily I have several chances this year to rectify that. As of now there are four different Shakespearean plays set to open this season. Now last time I checked there has never been more than one or two at the most in one year. But four? That is unheard of theatre fans. The shows scheduled to play the Great White Way this season are Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and a double bill of King Richard The Third and Twelth Night playing in repertory. Quite a selection don't you think? Of course the big question is which one will you see? Why not see them all? Now while all of them are limited runs there is time to see them all if you plan accordingly. Here are the performances dates for each show.
