Chicago On Broadway

Has it really been eighteen years since Chicago opened on Broadway? I remember seeing it a year into it's run and while I certainly enjoyed it I never would have guessed in a million years that I would be writing a blog about it all these years later. Oh sure there have been plenty of long-running shows over the years. After all The Phantom of the Opera is now in it's twenty-seventh year on the Great White Way. However Chicago which first opened in 1975 was not a show that most would think would continue to break records all these years later.

In fact it now holds the record as the longest running American musical in Broadway history. Not too bad for a show that was overshadowed at the Tony Awards that year by A Chorus Line. Now like I said I saw the show and absolutely loved it. Having seen hundreds of shows over the years it was nice to finally see a Broadway show that was more about entertainment as opposed to big sets and flashy costumes. Chicago doesn't have any of that. Every one is dressed in black and the set is pretty much a bunch of chairs and the Orchestra which sits on stage.

What Chicago does have is great music and dancing and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat all night. It is a show about a bunch of murderers after all. Plus I dare you to find a more sexier group of killers than these group of gals. Makes you want to run out and by a ticket right now doesn't it? I know it would make me want to see it if I hadn't already. By the way for those of you who still haven't experienced the Broadway sensation that is Chicago you are in luck my friends. We sell the show. In fact we sell every show on Broadway. Off-Broadway too. Not only that but it is now possible to see this award winning musical at prices that can't be beat. Just give us a call and we will take care of the rest. It's that easy. Get your Chicago tickets today and see the show that the New York Times called, "The best adult entertainment in town.". Until next time theatre fans.
