That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's longest running revue's is headed back to the Big Apple. Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller, began performances last night at the Stage 42 Theatre Off-Broadway.
The show, which played over two thousand performances on Broadway at the Virginia Theatre (now the August Wilson), will officially open on July 22. Now I loved the show when it played here before. In fact, I saw it three times. Here's hoping this new production has a long run as well.
By the way, for those of you who want tickets to see the show, you are in luck. We sell it. In fact if you call right now, you can get tickets to see the show at some great rates. Be advised that while this "Special Offer" is good thru September 30, it for select seats only, and as always subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Smokey Joe's Cafe at the Stage 42 Theatre. Who knows? You might just see me there. Until next time theatre fans.
