Exciting news theatre fans. One of the the most loved musical movies of the past two decades is headed to the Great White Way. Moulin Rouge, which is based on the Academy Award winning 2001 film, will begin previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on June 28, 2019, with opening night scheduled for July 25.
The show, which played a previous engagement at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston earlier this Summer, is being directed by Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Beetlejuice), and will feature original songs including the Golden Globe nominated "Come What May", as well as a slew of new pop songs that have been released since the film's premier.
Now what those new songs are actually is anyone's guess. I suppose we will just have to wait and find out next June. Oh but wait. There's more. Moulin Rouge not only features a book by wby Tony Award winner John Logan (Red), but it will star Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can), Tony Award winner Karen Olivo (West Sid Story), Tony Award nominee Danny Burnstein (Fiddler on the Roof), Tony Award nominee Sahr Ngaujah (Fela!), Tam Mutu (Anastasia), Ricky Rojas (Burn The Floor), and Robyn Hurder (Chicago).
By the way, they all starred in the sold out Boston run too.Tickets for the Broadway production went on sale yesterday. Not only that, but we are selling them. Well that, and every new play and musical too. Get your tickets to see Moulin Rouge on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Expect the show to be a big contender at the 2020 Tony Awards. Trust me. 2020 will be here before you know it. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Dakota. Bismark to be exact. A few days ago, my boss received a call from a travel agent who's client was traveling to Chicago in January, and wanted to see a show while they were there.
What's that? You thought we only offered tickets in New York and London? Well we don't. In fact we sell tickets to all events around the world. Who knew? Anyway, after finding out what they wanted to see, I asked them where they wanted to sit, and more importantly how much they wanted to spend.
Now most people think that New York City has the largest theatres in the country. Yes we do have a few large theatres like the Gershwin, the Lyric, and of course Radio City Music Hall, which is one of the largest theatres in the world. However when you compare the size of our theatres to most theatres around the country, we have the smaller venues.
Not that that's a bad thing. Now the Cadillac Palace, where Fiddler on the Roof is playing, is a large theatre with a capacity of over twenty- three hundred seats. Thankfully, there is not a bad seat in the house. In the end, I got them very nice seats in the Center Balcony. And at a price that was lower than they expected. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Broadway Thanksgiving Schedule
That's right theatre fans. Thanksgiving is only three days
away. And what better way to celebrate "Turkey Day" than by seeing a
show. Now in years past, the only thing that usually performs on
Thanksgiving was the Radio City Christmas Spectacular,
and other holiday themed show's like The Nutcracker or Elf. This year,
there are four different shows that are set to play on Thanksgiving.

King Kong Reviews
Well theatre fans the reviews are in, and surprise, surprise, they are not great. Now to be honest I'm not all that surprised, despite my own personal review of the show that I posted a few weeks ago. Now will the reviews make a difference at the box office?
I don't know. Last week King Kong made $674,934.25 out of a potential $1,166,006. Of course the reviews certainly won't help. After all, the show cost over $35 million dollars to produce. We shall see. Now on to the reviews.

The Ilusionists To Return To Broadway
Who doesn't love a magic show? I know I sure do. Although to be honest, these aren't your typical magicians. Maybe that's why the show is called The Illusionists. This new production, titled The Illusionists:The Magic of Broadway, mark's the group's third engagement on Broadway since 2015.
Featuring five of the world's most exciting magicians, The Illusionist's is one show you do not want to miss this holiday season. During their last Broadway engagement in 2016, I finally got a chance to check them out. After all it was a free ticket. What did I have to lose right? Now growing up, I was a huge fan of David Copperfield.
Therefore I knew I would probably enjoy it. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. What a "Magical" night in the theatre. You like how I used that? Tickets for the show are now available. Not only that, but we are selling it. Get your tickets to see The Illusionists: The Magic of Broadway at the Marquis Theatre. You will love it. Until next time magic fans.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Colorado. Boulder to be exact. Last week, I received a call from one of our regular customers, who was traveling to New York this month, and wanted to see some shows. Correction. They wanted to see three shows.
So what did this couple from the "Centennial State" want to see? Well I'll tell you. Hamilton, My Fair Lady, and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Pretty good choices I have to say. So anyway, after finding out what they wanted to see, and when they wanted to be here, I asked him where he wanted to sit, and of course how much he wanted to spend.
After all as you know, Hamilton isn't exactly cheap. Now because they were coming prior to the holiday's, the ticket's for the Christmas Spectacular were less than they would have been if it were a week later. One show down. Two to go.
Full disclosure. I loved the new production of My Fair Lady. Not only that, but because I have been in the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, I know where the best seats are to see the show. Thankfully, the customer trusted my opinion, and in the end I got them great seats in the Center Orchestra. Two down. One to go.
Which brings us to Hamilton. The most popular show on Broadway. Not too mention the most expensive. Now when it came to choosing seats, the location was more important the price. Anyway after a little research, I found them excellent seats in the Center Front Mezzanine. The cost? Well let's just say, the cost of one ticket would cover my rent, as well as all of my monthly expenses. You know what they say "You got it. Spend it." So there you have it folks. Three great shows with excellent seats to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?
