Final Weeks To See Hamilton In Chicago

HamiltonHas it really been three years since Hamilton took Chicago by storm? The show, which opened at the CIBC Theatre on September 26, 2016, will play it's final performance on January 5, 2020. That means you still have nine weeks theatre fans to see this award winning musical.

I was lucky enough to see this groundbreaking show two years ago on Broadway. By then of course the original cast was long gone. It didn't matter. The show was amazing. Plus it was even better because a very dear friend of mine was playing Aaron Burr.

That's also why I saw the show for only forty dollars. Now while the tickets for the Chicago production may not be as reasonably priced as the ones I had, they still won't cost you an arm and a leg either. In fact, tickets for the Chicago production are lower that they have ever been.

Not only that, but we are selling tickets for it too. Let me guess. You thought we only sold tickets for the Broadway production didn't you? Well we don't. Get your tickets to see Hamilton at the CIBC Theatre in Chicago. And on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. You will love it. Until next time theatre fans.

Pre-Broadway Engagement Of The Devil Wears Prada To Open In Chicago Next Year

Image result for the devil wears prada musical logoLet me just start off by saying that I have never see The Devil Wears Prada. Don't get me wrong. I love Meryl Streep. I even kind of like Anne Hathaway. But who cares what I think?

After all the movie was a huge hit grossing over three hundred and fifty million dollars at the box office.

The show, which is based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel, as well as the 2006 film, is set to begin performances on July 14, 2020 at the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago.

Directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro (August: Osage County), The Devil Wears Prada features music by Tony Award winner Sir Elton John (The Lion King), lyrics by Shania Taub, and a book by Paul Rudnick (Jeffrey). As of now, no on sale date has been announced. Be sure to check this website for further updates. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story

Image result for fiddler on the roof 2016 logoToday's customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Dakota. Bismark to be exact. A few days ago, my boss received a call from a travel agent who's client was traveling to Chicago in January, and wanted to see a show while they were there.

What's that? You thought we only offered tickets in New York and London? Well we don't. In fact we sell tickets to all events around the world. Who knew? Anyway, after finding out what they wanted to see, I asked them where they wanted to sit, and more importantly how much they wanted to spend.

Now most people think that New York City has the largest theatres in the country. Yes we do have a few large theatres like the Gershwin, the Lyric, and of course Radio City Music Hall, which is one of the largest theatres in the world. However when you compare the size of our theatres to most theatres around the country, we have the smaller venues.

Not that that's a bad thing. Now the Cadillac Palace, where Fiddler on the Roof is playing, is a large theatre with a capacity of over twenty- three hundred seats. Thankfully, there is not a bad seat in the house. In the end, I got them very nice seats in the Center Balcony. And at a price that was lower than they expected. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

TootsieLast month I posted a blog about the upcoming production of Tootsie. Now while the film is one of my favorite of all times, I was a little worried if it could work as a big Broadway musical.

I am happy to report that based on great word of mouth out of Chicago, and today's reviews, I had nothing to worry about. So what did the critic's have to say? Let's find out.

Customer Story

HamiltonToday's customer story comes all the way from the great state of South Dakota. Sioux Falls to be exact. A couple of days ago, I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to Chicago next month, and wanted to see a show while they were there. What's that? You thought we only sold tickets to New York and London?

Well we don't. In fact, we sell tickets to all events around the world. Who knew? So anyway after finding out when they would be there, I asked her what her client wanted to see. Now while Chicago may not have as many theatres as we do in New York, they do have a thriving theatre scene, with a multitude of various shows and events playing year round.

I know. I know. Enough with the suspense. What show did they choose? Why none other than the musical phenomenon Hamilton. In then end I got them excellent seats in the center Orchestra, and on an aisle. Not only that, but the ticket was lower than they had seen on multiple other websites. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?
