Today's customer story comes all the way from the Buckeye State. That's right. I am talking about the great state of Ohio. Cincinnati to be exact. On Monday I got a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was planning trip to New York and wanted to see a show. Not surprising as most people that come to New York see a show while there here. What is surprising is that I wasn't even supposed to be at work that day as I had Jury Duty. However since I recently moved to the Bronx and the courthouse was in Manhattan I couldn't serve. Oh well. I'm sure my new summons to serve in my new Borough will arrive soon. But enough about me. On to today's customer story. So after finding out when she would be here I asked the travel agent what she wanted to see.
Her first and only choice was Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays. Which is returning to Broadway this fall at the Imperial Theatre. The show which first premiered in 2005 and won the Tony Award for Best Theatrical Achievement is scheduled to begin previews on November 5 will play thru January 2 for a total of fifty-four performances. So now that I knew what she wanted to see I needed to find out if I could get her tickets. It is a pretty hot ticket after all. After a little checking around I was able to find some very nice seats in the Center Front Mezzanine. Pretty incredible considering it was the day before Thanksgiving. Not only that but I got them for a price that was lower than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from Birmingham, Alabama. This past Thursday I received a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was coming into New York in December and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. Their choices were Rock of Ages, Fuerzabruta, and The Book of Mormon. Three good choices but very different. Now of those three shows I have only seen one of them. Care to guess which one? Why Rock of Ages of course. Which I saw five times by the way. I guess you could say I liked it huh? So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they would be here. Well wouldn't you know it but they were coming during one of the busiest times of the year. That's right. Two days after Thanksgiving. Now since they were pretty flexible with their dates I suggested that they see Fuerzabruta on Saturday night and see the other two on Monday and Tuesday when the theatres are not as packed. Luckily they agreed with me and I was able to get them excellent center seats for both Rock of Ages and The Book of Mormon. Plus because Rock of Age has been playing for a few years I was able to get them tickets for less than our normal retail rate. So there you have it folks. Three great shows and great seats and prices to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Tickets To Aladdin On Broadway
Well it looks like Disney strikes again. I mean come on. You knew they were eventually going to do a stage version of Aladdin eventually didn't you? I mean let's face it you didn't think that they were going to let that big theatre of there's sit empty forever now did you? The show which is based on the 1992 Academy Award winning film will begin previews at the New Amsterdam Theatre on February 16, 2014, with opening night scheduled for March 20.
Now for those of you who read my blogs know that I am not the biggest Disney fan in the world. Therefore I have never seen the movie nor will I ever in this or any other lifetime. I'm just not a Disney type of guy. Having said that I do believe they have a place on Broadway as without them most children would never get the chance to experience the magic of theatre. For that they should be commended.
But enough about what I think. You came here to find out how you can get tickets to see Aladdin on Broadway right? Well good news. We sell it. Well that and every other Disney show on Broadway. Yes that means Newsies and The Lion King too. Not to mention every other show both On and Off-Broadway. That's right theatre fans. We sell it all and then some. Tickets for the show are scheduled to go on sale this fall so make sure to check back here when they do. Get your tickets to see Aladdin on Broadway at the historic New Amsterdam Theatre. Until next time Disney fans.

Tickets To Cabaret On Broadway
One of my favorite theatrical experiences was seeing the last revival of Cabaret on Broadway. Not only did I get to see the first preview performance but I must have seen it over a half a dozen times during it's five year run. Now you may ask yourself how did I afford to see the show so many times? Well as it turns out I was the assistant manager in the box office. Which meant I could pretty much see the show whenever I wanted. I must have seen over a six or seven Sally Bowles during my three years that I worked there.
Now for those of you that weren't lucky enough to see the show the show you are in luck. The show is set to return to the Great White Way this Spring. Not only that but the show is playing once again at Studio 54 where it played to sold out audiences for over three years. Wait. I gets better. Alan Cumming, who won the Tony Award in 1998 for Best Actor in a Musical will be reprising his role as the Emcee. Joining him is three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams as Sally Bowles.
Now does it get any better than that? I don't think so.
Returning once again as Director is Academy Award winner Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall who will co-direct as well as choreograph the show. Performances are scheduled to begin on March 21, 2014 with opening night set for April 24. Now as of now the show is only scheduled to run for twenty-four weeks. Of course that's what they said the last time and that production ran for at total of 2,377 performances. We shall see. Tickets for the show are set to go on sale in the coming weeks so make sure to check back here when they do. Get your tickets to see Cabaret on Broadway at Studio 54 this Spring. Expect the show to be a big contender at next years Tony Awards.

Rocky The Musical To Open On Broadway This Spring
Rocky The Musical? What will the think of next? Now if I'm being honest I have seen some clips of of the show and it looks pretty good. Granted the show was in German but still if it ends of being as good as it looks on the video we might just have a hit on our hands.
The show which opened to rave reviews in Germany last November will begin previews at the Wintergarden Theatre on February 11, 2014 with opening night scheduled for March 13. Now for those of you who have been living under a rock for the past thirty-seven years and have never seen the movie here is a description of the musical from the shows official website. Enjoy!
In 1976, an unknown actor wrote and starred in an independent movie about a struggling but indomitable Philadelphia boxer who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to go the distance. An underdog story both on-screen and off, Sylvester Stallone's Rocky went on to win the Academy Award® for Best Picture and touch the hearts of millions.
Now, that iconic film has inspired an innovative new stage production, brought to extraordinary life by a five-time Tony Award®-winning creative team, including director Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher), book writer Thomas Meehan (The Producers) and songwriting team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime).
Both an adrenaline-infused spectacle and a surprising tale of blossoming romance between two lonely outsiders, ROCKY is a visceral and heart-stopping theatrical experience for everyone brave enough to follow their dream.
Now I don't know about you but I wan to see it even more. How about you? Tickets for Rocky The Musical just went on sale today and I'm sure if word of mouth is any indication I expect to sales to be through the roof. Let's hope. Get your tickets to see Rocky The Musical at the Wintergarden Theatre. I can't wait. Until next time theatre fans.

Tickets To Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays On Broadway
I can't tell you how happy I am that Billy Crystal is coming back to Broadway this fall. Now for those of you who haven't heard already everybody's favorite Oscar host is set to return to the Great White Way in 700 Sundays. The show which won the Tony Award in 2005 for Special Theatrical Event is set to begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on November 5 for a limited engagement of only fifty-four performances. The last time the show was here I missed it and I have been kicking myself ever since. I won't make the same mistake twice. Now for those of you who are not familiar with the show here is a brief synopsis of 700 Sundays from the shows website.
This autobiographical journey is an original two-act play in which Billy plays numerous characters that have influenced who he is today. It deals with his youth, growing up in the jazz world of Manhattan, his teenage years, and finally adulthood. It is about family, and fate. It is hilarious, personal, and touching as he takes us through moments of love, laughter and loss. By the way for those of you looking to get tickets to see the show you have come to the right place. Not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show and event in New York. Get your tickets to see 700 Sundays on Broadway this fall at the Imperial Theatre. Who knows? Maybe I'll see you there. Shakespeare Is The Thing This Season On Broadway
Now believe or not but in all the years that I have lived in New York I have never seen a play by William Shakespeare. I know right? I've seen practically everything else but not one play by one of the world's greatest playwright's of all time. Luckily I have several chances this year to rectify that. As of now there are four different Shakespearean plays set to open this season. Now last time I checked there has never been more than one or two at the most in one year. But four? That is unheard of theatre fans. The shows scheduled to play the Great White Way this season are Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and a double bill of King Richard The Third and Twelth Night playing in repertory. Quite a selection don't you think? Of course the big question is which one will you see? Why not see them all? Now while all of them are limited runs there is time to see them all if you plan accordingly. Here are the performances dates for each show.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Carolina. Raleigh to be exact. This past Friday I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in December and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. Their choices were Wicked, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Three great choices don't you think?
So anyway after finding out what they wanted to see I needed to find out what dates they would be here and of course where they wanted to sit and how much they wanted to spend. Well as it turns out the they were coming to New York during the first week of December which as most of you know is one of the busiest times of the year. Besides the annual lighting of the tree it is also one of the most popular shopping weeks of the year. Not only that but they also needed ten tickets for each show. Not too difficult right?
Now luckily for them they wanted to go during the week so they were hoping that better seats might be available. They were right. When all was said and done I was able to get them great seats in the Center Orchestra for both Radio City and Spider-Man. Not only that but I was able to get them for a price that was lower than our normal retail rate. Now even though Wicked is still one of Broadway's most popular shows I was once again able to get them great seats and for a rate that was less then even I was expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

A Day In The Life Of A Ticket Broker
So here I sit at my desk on a somewhat muggy and overcast Sunday in September trying to figure out something to blog about. Now as most people know September tends to be a rather lackluster month here in the big city. The kids are back in school and most shows see a dip in sales at least until the middle of October or even later for some. Of course before you know it November will be here and performances will begin for this year's Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
Followed of course by Thanksgiving and the Christmas Tree lighting at Rockefeller Center and finally Christmas and New Year's. Then we get to start all over again. Here's to 2014!Yes I know that is still over four months away. It's funny but before I moved to New York time always seemed to go slow. Of course growing up in the Midwest everything is slow. That's probably why I was in such a hurry to move here.
Cut to almost twenty-two years later and I'm now wishing life moved a little slower. Boy do I sound old or what? The fact is we are all going to get old eventually. Might as well embrace and enjoy it. Well I guess I did find something to write about. Sure it wasn't about the theatre but it least it was meaningful. Sure maybe but not to you but that's o.k. too. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of North Carolina. Greensboro to be exact. This past week I received a call from a very nice lady who came to us based on a recommendation from her travel agent. We love it when that happens. So anyway she told me that she and her husband were planning a trip to New York in November and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were here. Their choices? Why none other than two of Broadway's hottest new shows. I am of course talking about Kinky Boots and Motown The Musical. Two great choices don't you think? So now that I knew what she wanted to see I needed to find out exactly when they would be here and more importantly where they wanted to sit and how much they wanted to spend.
Now because they were only here for a few days they only had a limited amount of time to see both shows. Luckily for them I was able to find them some excellent seats in the Front Mezzanine for both shows. Which by the way is the best view in both of those theatres. Now while the tickets for Kinky Boots were a little more than they were expecting the decided to go for it as this trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity for them so why waste it. So there you have it folks. Not so fast. Not only did they want tickets to two of Broadway's most popular shows but they also needed car service to and from the airport. Bet you didn't know that we offered that did you? Well we do. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of New York. Not New York City mind you but Woodbury. Finally a city that I actually know. This past Friday I got a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was coming into the big city in a few weeks and wanted tickets to see a show. Now even though this particular client comes to New York quite often there was one show that they were dying to see.
Care to guess which one? Why it's none other than Kinky Boots, the 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Musical of the Year. Now while I have personally never seen it I have heard nothing but great things about it. I guess it's why it won all those awards. So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they would be here and how many tickets they needed. Well as it turns out they needed a total of twenty-nine tickets. Not to mention they all wanted to sit together in the same section if possible. Nothing too difficult right?
Luckily for them they were going on a Tuesday night which is one of the least popular nights of the week even for a Tony Award winning show like Kinky Boots. When all was said and done I was able to get them seats in the Center Mezzanine. Plus because it was a group I was able to get it for them for a lower rate. But wait. There's more. Not only were they thrilled with the seats but the travel agent called me back this afternoon and ordered two more tickets. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Illinois. What makes it so great you ask? Well for starters I was born in Illinois. Isn't that enough? I think so. Plus they were calling from Aurora which as we all know is the home of Wayne's World. You remember Wayne's World don't you? "It's Wayne's World. Wayne's World. Party Time. Excellent." Hard to believe that movie came out twenty-one years ago. Man do I feel old. But enough about me.
Two days ago I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to New York in October and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. I take that back. They wanted to see four shows. Their choices were Matilda The Musical, Pippin, Rock of Ages and Betrayal starring Daniel Craig aka James Bond. Four good choices don't you think? So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and more importantly how much they wanted to spend.
Now because Rock of Ages has been playing for almost five years I figured I would have no problem getting them seats. Not only that but at a lower rate. When all was said and done I was able to get them excellent seats in the Center Orchestra and at a price that was lower than they were expecting. One show down. Three to go. Now for both Matilda and Pippin I suggested they seat in the Front Mezzanine as you get a much better overall view as both shows have a lot of visual stuff going on not too mention big production numbers and extravagant sets and costumes.
Thankfully they took my advice and I was once again able to get very nice seats in the center section. Three shows down. One to go. Last but not least is Betrayal. Now while the show has yet to open it is already one of this season's hottest tickets. Luckily I was able to find them some seats in the Rear Mezzanine for the date they wanted. Rear Mezzanine you say? Isn't that a mile away? Not in this theatre. In fact the Rear Mezzanine in almost all of the Broadway theatres are still a great view. Who knew? So there you have it folks. Four great shows with great seats to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story
Today's story comes all the way from the great state of Texas. Lubbock to be exact. Late yesterday afternoon I received a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was planning a trip to New York in November and wanted to see two shows while they were here. Nothing like planning ahead right? I wish all of our clients were like that. So anyway after finding out when they would be here I asked them what they wanted to see. Their choices were Pippin and Kinky Boots. Two great shows and recent Tony winners as well. Now because they needed nine tickets for each show they were willing to split up to get better seats. As it turns out for Pippin I didn't need to separate them at all as I was able to get them excellent seats in the center Front Mezzanine. One show down. One to go. Now in order to get the best seats for Kinky Boots I did have to split them up. However I was able to get them in the same row and for a rate that was better than they were expecting. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of....wait a minute. Not so fast. This customer story is not from a state at all but a country. Care to guess which one? Well I'll give you a clue. Well they are well known for their beer and music. No it's not Germany. It's Ireland. So anyway this past Tuesday afternoon a very nice young couple came up to our office because they had the New York Pass which besides giving them discounts for over a hundred attractions in New York City also includes discount tickets for all shows and events in New York as well. Who knew? So after finding out how long they would be here I asked them what they wanted to see. Their choices were Wicked, Rock of Ages, and Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Which I have all seen by the way. I take that back. I saw some of Spider-Man. I didn't care for it. Now as I always do with that show I ask our customers if they are fans of the movie or comic book as it is a perfect show of you are. They weren't. Therefore I suggested Once as not only is it a great show but being that they were from Ireland I knew they would enjoy it. Thankfully they agreed with me. Plus like their tickets for Rock of Ages I was able to get them great seats for an "Insider Price". Now while Wicked is still one of Broadway's most popular shows I was able to find them side Mezzanine seats which is still a great view for a lesser rate as well. So there you have it folks. Three great shows at some amazing prices to boot. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

See Broadway's Tony Winning Musical Once For Less This Fall
Still haven't seen the 2012 Tony Award winner for Best Musical of the Year? Well what are you waiting for people? It's only one of Broadway's most popular shows after all. Once, which won eight Tony Awards including Broadway's top prize is now available at prices that can't be beat. Now to be honest when the show was first announced I really didn't know too much about it except that was of course based on the 2007 film that won the Academy Award for Song of the Year (Falling Slowly). Now here we are over eight years later and Once continues to delight audiences of all ages at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on Broadway eight times a week. Now while I never got around to seeing the movie I did get to see the show. I loved it. Being a composer and playwright myself it is was so refreshing to see a Broadway musical that was more about the story and relationships as opposed to a bunch of special effects and big sets. Yes Spider-Man I am talking about you. But enough about what I like or don't like. You came here to see how you can tickets to see this award winning musical for less right? Right. From now thru October 9 you can get tickets to Once for prices that can't be beat. Be advised that while this "Insider Price" is good thru then it is always subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Once on Broadway at the Jacobs Theatre. You will love it.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Virginia. This past Friday I received a call from one of our regular travel agents who's client was planning a trip to New York for the end of the month and wanted to see if they could get tickets for two shows while they were here. Their choices were Motown and The Trip To Bountiful. Two good choices I might add. Now to be honest when she told me that she wanted to see Motown on a holiday weekend I was worried that getting tickets would be difficult. Luckily I was able to find some great seats in the Center Mid Mezzanine which while a little further back is still a great view as it is not a very big theatre. One show down. One to go. Because The Trip To Bountiful is a play not a musical I knew that not only would I be able to get great seats but a little less than our normal retail rate. Well she loved that. In fact not only was it less than she was expecting but the seats were better than she had seen on another site. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Today's customer story comes all the way from Gadsen, Alabama. Early Monday morning I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a last minute trip to New York for later this week and wanted to see two shows while they were here. Their choices were Annie and Mamma Mia. Two great choices but two very different shows. So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they wanted to go and of course how much they wanted to spend. Luckily for them because Mamma Mia is been playing for almost twelve years I knew I would have no problem getting them excellent seats and at an "Insider Rate". I was right. In fact I was able to get them the same type of seats and rates for Annie as well. Well she loved that. Plus I was able to leave both sets of tickets at the theatre for them to pick up before the show and I also found them a couple of great restaurants to eat at prior to the show. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

New Musical If/Then To Open On Broadway Next Spring
Now to be honest I don't know too much about this show. I take that back. I do know that it is a new musical starring Tony winners Idina Menzel (Wicked, Rent) and La Chanze (The Color Purple) and it is written by the Tony winning team behind Next To Normal. Well what do you know? I guess I knew more about the show than I thought.
The show which is being directed by Tony nominee Michael Grief is set to begin previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on March 4. 2014 with opening night scheduled for March 27. Now for those of you who would like more information about If/Then here is a brief synopsis about it from the show's official website. Enjoy!
On the verge of turning 40, Elizabeth moves back to New York City, the ultimate city of possibility, intent on a fresh start – new home, new friends, and hopes for a resurgent career. But even in her carefully planned new life, the smallest decision or most random occurrence will impact her world in ways she never dreamt possible. Set against the ever-shifting landscape of modern day Manhattan, If/Then is a romantic and original new musical about how choice and chance collide and how we learn to love the fallout.
Sounds like a great night in the theatre don't you think? By the way for those of you who are looking to get tickets to see the show you are in luck. Not only do we sell tickets to If/Then but every show both On and Off Broadway. Plus we sell most of those shows at rates that can't be beat. Get your tickets to see If/Then at the Richard Rodgers Theatre this Spring on Broadway. I can't wait! Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Virginia. Dundas to be exact. Yesterday afternoon I received a call from a previous customer of mine who was planning a trip to New York later this month with her husband and wanted to see a few shows while they were here. Her choices were recent Tony winners Pippin and Kinky Boots, and Cuff Me: Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody. Care to guess what that last one is about? No it's not a Disney movie turned Broadway musical.
For those of you who don't know Cuff Me is a musical spoof about the best selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey. So anyway now that I knew what they wanted to see I needed to find out when they would be here and of course where they wanted to sit and how much they wanted to spend. Now since Cuff Me was an Off-Broadway show she was hoping that it would be less than the other two shows. It was. In fact I was able to get her excellent seats for an "Insider Rate". One show down. Two to go.
Now because both Pippin and Kinky Boots are two of Broadway's most popular shows I knew that getting good seats would be a little more difficult than most. Surprisingly it wasn't as difficult as I thought since they had picked a weekday performance as opposed to a weekend. In the end I was able to get them great seats for both shows in the Center Front Mezzanine for a rate that was even lower than I was expecting. In fact they saved so much that they called back later that day and ordered more tickets from my colleague Claudia. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?
