That's right theatre fans. It's time for part four in my four part series discussing the new shows coming to the Great White Way. So far I have written about thirteen new plays and musicals set to open this year. Here are the remaining three. Enjoy!
Rocky
Winter Garden Theatre
First Preview: February 11
Opens: March 13
Yo Adrian! I'm coming to Broadway! That's right. Everybody's favorite underdog story is coming to the Great White Way. And this time it's set to music. Based on the Academy Award winning movie Rocky is set to open next month at the Winter Garden Theatre. The theatre's last two shows Mamma Mia and Cats both ran for over a decade. Will Rocky be as successful? I couldn't tell you. Now as much as I am not a fan of movies being turned into big Broadway musicals I will admit I am somewhat intrigued about this one. After all the Winter Garden is the only Broadway Theatre that I have never been in so that alone makes me want to see it. Plus I am dying to see how they are going to pull of the big boxing scene at the end. We shall see.
The Velocity of Autumn
Booth Theatre
First Preview: April 1
Opens: April 21
The truth is I know nothing about the show except what I read from the shows press release. What I do know is that the show is starring two-time Tony winner Stephen Spinella and Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons who I had the pleasure of seeing five years ago in August: Osage County. She was brilliant. That alone makes me want to see it. Well that and that it's a new play. Let's home it's a good one.
Violet
American Airlines Theatre
First Preview: March 28
Opens: April 20
Closes: August 10
Once again a show I really know nothing about. I take that back. I do know that it is starring two-time Tony award winner Sutton Foster. Makes you want to see it even more now doesn't it? Violet tells the story of a young woman’s quest for beauty amidst the image-obsessed landscape of the 1960s. Facially disfigured in a childhood accident, Violet dreams of a miraculous transformation through the power of faith. Convinced that a televangelist in Oklahoma can heal her, she hops a Greyhound bus and starts the journey of a lifetime. Sound's kind of interesting don't you think? Now with all Roundabout productions it is only a limited run but if reviews are good I m sure it will extend. Let's hope.
So there you have it theatre fans. Sixteen shows set to open between now and the end of April. Plus like years past I am sure there will be a few more that will sneak in before the Tony cutoff date. Which ones will fail and which ones will succeed? We will soon find out.

Beautiful Reviews
Well the reviews for Beautiful:The Carole King Musical are in theatre fans and to be honest they're not too bad. While most of the raves are for it's star Tony nominee Jessie Mueller the reviews for the most part are pretty good I think. But what do I know? So why not check them and out and you can judge for yourself. Enjoy!

What To See In 2014:Part Three
That's right theatre fans. It's time for part three of my four part series discussing the new shows coming to Broadway. So far I have written my thoughts on ten new shows that are set to open in the coming months. Now comes three more. All of which are plays. So let's get too it. Enjoy!
Of Mice and Men
Longacre Theatre
First Preview: March 19
Opens: April 16
Let me just start off by saying that I have never read Of Mice and Men. Haven't seen the movie either. Now does that mean that I don't want to see the show? You better believe I do. After all it does have two very talented actor's starring in it. (James Franco, Chris O'Dowd) Not too mention it is being directed by a Tony winning director (Anna D. Shapiro of August: Osage County fame) Now while I haven't read the book I am a little familiar with the story. Although to be honest I thought the two guys were brothers and not friends. I guess I should read up on it a little before I see it huh? Or maybe I'll just wait and just go along for the ride. I think that's the better idea. As of now the show is only scheduled to run thru July 27 but if reviews are good you never know. Maybe it will extend. Stranger things have happened. Either way expect the show to sell a lot of tickets at the box office this Spring.
Outside Mullingar
Samuel J. Friedman Theatre
First Preview: January 3
Opens: January 23
Closes: March 16
A new play by Tony and Academy Award winning writer John Patrick Shanley? Count me in. Not only that but it stars fellow Tony winner Brian F. O'Byrne and Emmy winner Debra Messing. Now I know nothing about the show except what I just wrote about so but isn't that enough to make you run right out and see it? It is for me. As of now the show is only scheduled to run thru March 16 but with all shows at the Manhattan Club they usually extend a few weeks if reviews are good. We will soon find out.
A Raisin In The Sun
Barrymore Theatre
First Preview: March 8
Opens: April 3
Now this is the one that I have been waiting for people. Denzel Washington is my favorite actor of all time and I am still kicking myself that I missed him the last time he was on the Great White Way. You can bet that I won't make that mistake again. Starring along side him are Tony winners Diahann Carroll, Anika Noni Rose and Academy Award nominee Sophie Okonedo. Look we already know that this show is going to do well at the box office. The big question is how it will fare when the Tony nominations come out in April. We will soon find out.
So there you have it folks. Part three in my four part series. Next up is Rocky, The Velocity of Autumn and Violet. Until next time theatre fans.

What To See In 2014: Part Two
Earlier this week I posted my first article on the shows set to open on Broadway in the coming months. As I mentioned in my previous blog I will be listing all the shows alphabetically as opposed to the ones that I am looking forward to the most. Although when you think about it shouldn't I be looking forward to all of them? A new show is a new show right? Even the bad ones. And away we go!
Bullets Over Broadway
St. James Theatre
First Preview: March 11, 2014
Opens: April 10, 2014
Can I just say how excited I am about seeing this show? Not only am I a huge Woody Allen fan but it is also one of my favorite films of all time. Now while the show is technically new the score is not. Instead the show will feature popular sings from that era. Now for those of you that are not familiar with the movie here is a brief synopsis of Bullets Over Broadway from the shows official website.
A playwright who needs someone to back his next show. A mobster who needs some way to please his showgirl girlfriend. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship or a brand new musical comedy! Sounds like a winner to me. I know I can't wait to see it. Who knows? Maybe I'll see you there. Expect the show to be a big contender at this year's Tony Awards.
Cabaret
Studio 54
First Preview: March 21, 2014
Opens: April 24, 2014
Well would you look at that? Two shows in a row that I am looking forward too this season? Who would have thought? Now I will admit that I am a little partial when it comes to the show since I used to work at the Studio 54 box office during it's last run there. While technically I only saw the whole show three or four times I did sneak into the theatre quite a bit over my two years there.
What an amazing piece of theatre. Returning in his Tony winning performance as the Emcee is Alan Cumming. Joining him as Sally Bowles? Why none other than Three-time Academy Award nominee Michele Williams. Now if that doesn't make you want to run to see it then I don't know what will.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Belasco Theatre
First Preview: March 29, 2014
Opens: April 22, 2014
What? Stop the presses! Three shows in a row that I am actually looking forward too? When has that ever happened? Not for a long time my friends. The show which first premiered Off-Broadway in 1998 is set to make it's Broadway debut this Spring at the Belasco Theatre. Now while I never got a chance to see it during it's first run you can better believe nothing will stop me from seeing it now. Plus the fact that it is starring one of my favorite actor's in the form of Neil Patrick Harris. Makes you want to see it even more now doesn't it?
If/Then
Richard Rodgers Theatre
First Preview: March 4, 2014
Opens: March 27, 2014
Now this is getting out of control people. Another show that I actually want to see this season? This is crazy. Or maybe I'm just excited because finally someone has actually written an original musical for the Broadway stage. That's it. As a composer/lyricist myself I love seeing new work. Their last show was Next To Normal which not only won the Tony Award for Best Score but also the Pulitzer Prize for Drams. Will lighting strike twice? We will soon find out.
Mothers and Sons
John Golden Theatre
First Preview: February 23, 2014
Opens: March 24, 2014
What is that? A play opening on Broadway amongst all those big Broadway musicals? Who would have thought? This show not only marks four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally's first show on Broadway in almost seven years. Not only that but it also stars Tony and Emmy winner Tyne Daly. So there you go. Two reasons to see the show. Well that and it sounds like it could be good too. That always help. I see a Tony nomination in Ms. Daly's future. We shall see.
So there you have it. Part Two in my Four Part Series. Check back here in the coming days where I will preview Of Mice and Men, Outside Mullingar, and A Raisin in the Sun. Until next time theatre fans.

What To See In 2014:Part One
Hard to believe but 2013 is just about over. Seems like only yesterday that I was celebrating the end of 2012 and here we are about to start a brand new year. Time sure does fly my friends. Especially in the big bad city. So as we get ready to embark on 2014 I figured it was time to showcase all the brand new shows set to open on the Great White Way in the coming months. Now instead of writing about the shows I am looking forward to the most first I will instead list all the shows alphabetically. And away we go!
Act One
Vivian Beaumont Theatre
First Preview: March 20, 2014
Opens: April 17, 2014
Tony winner James Lapine directs his own adaptation of Moss Hart's classic autobiography which eloquently chronicles the playwright/director's impoverished childhood and his determined struggle to escape poverty and forge a career in the theater which led to his collaboration with George S. Kaufman and their partnership, culminating with his first great success, Once In A Lifetime. Having lived in New York for the better part of two decades I can tell you that some of my most favorite Broadway experiences have been because of Lincoln Center Theatre which is producing this new play. I for one can't wait to see it.
Aladdin
New Amsterdam Theatre
First Preview: February 26, 2014
Opens: March 20, 2014
Now those of you who read my blogs now my disdain for all things Disney. Particularly when it comes to them on Broadway. But lets' face it. They don't really care what I think anyway. After all I'm not the one buying the tickets now am I? Anyway enough about what I like. Aladdin which is based on the 1992 of the same is set to open at their flagship theatre the New Amsterdam.
Directed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon) and featuring the classic Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice score with songs like "Friend Like Me" and the Academy Award-winning "A Whole New World," Aladdin will use a new book and additional lyrics by Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer). Now as we all know both The Lion King and Mary Poppins played at the same theatre and they were big hits. Will Aladdin be just as successful? We will soon find out.
All The Way
Neil Simon Theatre
First Preview: February 10, 2014
Opens: March 6, 2014
Now we all know that one of the main reason's this show is coming to Broadway is because it is starring Emmy Award winner Bryan Cranston. Let me guess you've never heard of him right? Wrong! He's only the star of one of the most critically acclaimed television shows of the past fifty years. Ever hear of a little show called Breaking Bad? Now it's ringing a bell isn't it? The show which just finished a successful run at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge takes the audience behind the doors of the Oval Office and inside the first years of Lyndon B. Johnson's (Bryan Cranston) presidency, and his fight to pass a landmark civil rights bill. O.K. Sounds like it could be some what interesting. Either way expect the show to do big business at the box office.
The Bridges of Madison County
Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre
First Preview: January 17, 2014
Opens: February 20, 2014
You've seen the movie. Now see the Broadway show. Believe it or not but I have never seen the movie. Big surprise right? The truth is I really never had a desire. Does that mean I won't see the Broadway show? I might. After all a free ticket is a free ticket. Now for those of you who aren't familiar with the movie or the show here is a little info on it. Four-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara reunites with director Bartlett Sher for a stunning new musical by the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning team of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown. O'Hara is joined onstage by Steven Pasquele for this classic love story based on the best-selling novel by Robert James Waller. Don't miss this sweeping romance about the roads we travel, the doors we open and the bridges we dare to cross. Who knows? Maybe I will check it out. Stranger things have happened.
Bronx Bombers
Circle in the Square Theatre
First Preview: January 11, 2014
Opens: February 6, 2014
Now while I may be a big Mets fan I have to admit that I am might just have to check this one out. Even if it is about the Yankees. Yes I know. New York has and probably always will be a Yankees town. That will never change. Now for you Yankees fans that want to see the show here is a synopsis about the show from the play's official website.
Bronx Bombers is a new American play from the team behind Broadway's Lombardi that follows beloved icon Yogi Berra and his wife Carmen through a century of the team's trials and triumphs, bringing generations of Yankee greats together on one stage. As it celebrates and explores the timeless legacy of baseball's most iconic team, Bronx Bombers takes a fascinating look at how and why the Yankees have remained so undeniably great... and so powerfully inspirational. See you at the game. I mean the show.
Well that ends Part One theatre fans. Check back here in the next few days for Part Two. Happy New Year Everyone!

Final Week To See Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark On Broadway
That's right theatre fans. You only have eight more chances to see the most expensive show in Broadway history. Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. The show which will play it's final performance on January 4 has been more scrutinized and written about then any show in recent memory will play it's final performance on January 4.Thanks Michael Riedel. Don't get me wrong. I actually like the guy. Oh sure you may not care for everything he has to say but the man says what's on his mind and tells the truth. How many other columnists do you know do that? Not too many my friends. When it closes the show which will have losses of up to sixty million dollars. As of now plans are to revamp the show and reopen it in Las Vegas in 2015. Good luck with that. Until next time Spidey fans.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from across the river. That's right. I'm talking about New Jersey. Two days ago I received an email from a friend of mine who wanted to take his family to see Matilda for the holidays. Now he knew that it might be tough since the show was less a week away. Luckily for him I had seats available in our inventory which meant not only were they good seats but a little less as well. When all is said and done I was able to get them three very good seats in the Mezzanine and as I mentioned for a price that was lower than if they had bought them from another source. I guess having me as a friend does have it's rewards huh? Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from the great state of Massachusetts. Woburn to be exact. This past Saturday I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to Las Vegas and wanted to see a show while they were there. Their first and only choice was Cirque du Soleil O. Now to be honest I have never seen one of their shows and quite frankly have no desire to either. Anyway enough about what I want to see right? Their the ones that are paying for the tickets after all. So after finding out when they would be here I asked the agent how many tickets they needed and where they wanted to sit. Well as it turns out they needed twenty-four tickets. No that's not a typo. They needed twenty-four tickets. Luckily for them they still had some left that close to the date. When all was said an done I was able to get them excellent seats in the center back to back. Not only that I was able to get them for a lower rate as it was for a group. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Harvey Fierstein's New Play Casa Valentina To Open On Broadway This Spring
That's right theatre fans. Four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein is returning to the Great White Way. And this time he's not in drag. In fact his new show Casa Valentina is his first new play on Broadway in almost thirty years. The show while will also be his first ever collaboration with Manhattan Theatre Club is set to begin previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on April 1, 2014 with opening night scheduled for April 23, 2014. Here is a description of the show from the play's official website.
Back in 1962, most men went to the Catskill Mountains to escape the summer heat, but others took the two-hour drive to escape something else entirely: being men. Nestled in the land of dirty dancing and borscht belt comedy sat an inconspicuous bungalow colony that catered to a very special clientele: heterosexual men whose favorite pastime was dressing and acting as women. It was paradise for these men—white-collar professionals with families—to spend their weekends discreetly and safely inhabiting their chosen female alter egos.
But when faced with the opportunity to become an official organization, these "self-made women" had to decide whether public recognition would help them gain a place in open society or spell their own personal disaster. Infused with Fierstein's trademark wit, this moving, insightful and delightfully entertaining new work offers a glimpse into the lives of a group of unforgettable characters as they search for acceptance and happiness in their very own Garden of Eden.
Sounds like a lot of fun now doesn't it? By the way for those of you that are interested in getting tickets to see Casa Valentina you have come to the right my place my friends. Not only do we sell this show but every show both On and Off-Broadway. Get your tickets to see Casa Valentina at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.

Ticket's To New Play Mothers And Sons Starring Tyne Daly Is Now On Sale
That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's most acclaimed stars is set to return to the Great White Way next year. Yes I know. She's a big television star too. Tyne Daly, a Tony and Emmy winner for her work in Gypsy and Cagney and Lacey is set to star in Mother's and Son's. The show which is written by four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally (Master Class, Ragtime) is set to begin previews at the John Golden Theatre on February 23, 2104 with opening night scheduled for March 24, 2014. Here is a brief synopsis about the show from the play' s official website. Enjoy!
Tackling national themes in the most intimate of settings, Mothers and Sons is Terrence McNally at his most uncompromising, compassionate and revealing. Twenty years after her son's death, a mother turns up at the door of his former lover, who is now married to another man and has a young son. This man and his family challenge the woman to confront the truths of their shared past, and a future she never imagined. Values clash as they struggle to reconcile their vastly different worlds. As powerful and provocative as it is warm and humorous, Mothers and Sons explores the very essence of family and forgiveness in a rapidly changing society.
Sounds like an interesting night in the theatre now doesn't it? By the way for those of you who are looking to purchase tickets for the show you have come to the right place. In fact not only do we sell tickets to this show but every show both On and Off-Broadway. Get your tickets to see Mother's and Sons at the John Golden Theatre on Broadway. Expect it to be a big contender at the 2014 Tony Awards. Until next time theatre fans.

My Thoughts On The Current Broadway Season
Hard to believe but the year is almost over. Yes I know we've still got four weeks until the end of 2013 buy trust me my friends. It will be 2014 before we know it. Scary right? Now when I look back at the season so far I have to say it has been a lot better than last year a this time. In fact at this time last year three new shows had already closed with more set to close the following month. Now we all know that's nothing new. In fact next in the next few weeks five shows including Spider-Man:Turn Off The Dark and Annie are scheduled to close. Like I said nothing new. The good news is that the rest of the season looks pretty good.
Now of all the shows set to open the two that I am looking forward to the most are both based on movies. Yes I know I have written many blogs over the years about my distaste for Broadway musicals based on movies. Doesn't mean I don't want to see these them. Who knows? They might actually be good. Another show that I am looking forward to is Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Emmy Award winner and Tony host Neil Patrick Harris. This production which will mark it's Broadway debut is one of this season's most highly anticipated shows. Plus between now and the end of April there are a total of eighteen shows set to open. Now if that doesn't get you excited then I don't know what will. Here is a list of those shows.
Aladdin
All The Way
Beautiful
The Bridges of Madison County
Bronx Bombers
Bullets Over Broadway
Cabaret
Casa Valentina
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
If/Then
Les Miserables
Machinal
Mothers and Sons
Of Mice and Men
Outside Mullingar
A Raisin in the Sun
Rocky
Violet
Which one's will fail and which one's will succeed? We will soon find out. Until next time theatre fans.

Customer Story
Today's customer story comes all the way from our friends up North. That's right. I am talking of course about Canada. Last week I received a call from a travel agent who's client was planning a trip to Las Vegas in January and wanted to see a couple of shows while they were there. Let me guess? You didn't know we sold tickets for Las Vegas did you? Well we do. In fact we sell tickets for every city around the world. So anyway after finding out when they would be there I asked her what they wanted to see. Their choices were Celine Dion and Cirque du Soleil: O. Two events that I personally have no desire to see. But who cares what I want to see. It's what they want to see is what is important right? After all if people weren't calling us to buy tickets I would be out of job and I know you don't want that to happen do you? I didn't think so. Anyway after finding out when they wanted to go I asked them where they wanted to sit and more importantly how much they wanted to spend. After a little research I was able to find them great seats for both shows and at rates there were lower than even I was expecting. Not only that but they said they might call us if they have time to see another show while they are there. Another satisfied customer will you be next?

Emmy Winner Bryan Cranston To Open On Broadway This Winter In All The Way
Wait a minute. Walter White on Broadway? It's true. Now relax Breaking Bad fans. They are not turning your favorite show into a big splashy Broadway musical. I just wanted to get your attention. What is happening of course is that three-time Emmy winner Bryan Cranston is coming to Broadway in a new play. All The Way,written by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan is set to begin previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on February 10, 2014 with opening night scheduled for March 6, 2014. Interesting fact. This will be the first play at the Neil Simon Theatre since A View From the Bridge played there in 1998.
Now I'll be honest I have never seen an episode of Breaking Bad. The truth is the only thing that I have seen him Mr. Cranston in is Seinfeld and How I Met Your Mother. But let's face it. A man doesn't win an Emmy three years in a row if he isn't good. Plus based on his stellar reviews from the shows most recent run at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge we might just see a Tony nomination and possible win in his future. But enough about it's star. You probably want to know what the shows about before you see it don't you? So here you go. Enjoy!
"1963. An assassin’s bullet catapults Lyndon Baines Johnson into the presidency. A Shakespearean figure of towering ambition and appetite, the charismatic, conflicted Texan hurls himself into Civil Rights legislation, throwing the country into turmoil. Alternately bullying and beguiling, he enacts major social programs, faces down opponents and wins the 1964 election in a landslide. But in faraway Vietnam, a troublesome conflict looms. In the Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright’s vivid dramatization of LBJ’s first year in office, means versus ends plays out on a broad stage canvas as politicians and civil rights leaders plot strategy and wage war."
Now I don't know about you but it sure sounds like a winner to me. What do you think? Tickets for the highly anticipated show are scheduled to go on sale on December 14 so mark that day down on your calendars or you might miss out on what is sure to be the theatrical event of the Winter. Get your tickets to see Bryan Cranston as Lyndon B. Johnson at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway. Until next time theatre fans.

Tony Winner Sutton Foster To Return To Broadway This Spring In Violet
That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's most beloved stars is set to return to the Great White Way this Spring. Violet starring two-time Tony Award winner is set to begin previews at the American Airlines Theatre on March 28, 2014 opening night set for April 10, 2014. Now while I've heard of the show before I'll be honest I'm not very familiar with it.
From what I read it first premiered Off-Broadway in 1997 at Playwright's Horizons where it won both the Drama Critic's Award and Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical of the Year. Now for those of you that are like me and not all that familiar with the show here is a synopsis about Violet from the show's official website. Enjoy!
The show which is scheduled to run thru August 10, 2014 features music by Tony nominee Jeanine Tesori (Shrek, Caroline or Change) and book and lyrics by Brian Crawley. Directing the show is Leigh Silverman (Well, Chinglish) with choreography by Jeffrey Page. Tickets for the show are expected to go on sale in the coming weeks so make sure to check back here when they do. Until next time theatre fans.

Tickets To Bullets Over Broadway The Musical
I can't tell you how excited I am to see this show. That's right. I am a huge Woody Allan fan. Have been since I played Humphrey Bogart in my high school production of "Play It Again Sam". Bullets Over Broadway which will feature a book by Woody Allan and popular tunes from the 1920's is set to begin previews at the St. James Theatre on March 11,2014.
The show which is based on the hit 1994 movie is being directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. It was also just announced that starring in the lead role is Zach Braff (Scrubs, Garden State). Kind of makes you want to see it even more now doesn't it? Now for those of you who are not familiar with the film I have included a description of it from the show's official website. Enjoy!
A playwright who needs someone to back his next show.
A mobster who needs some way to please his showgirl girlfriend.
This could be the start of a beautiful friendship—
or a brand new musical comedy!Based on the screenplay of the acclaimed film, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY brings the talents of Woody Allen and Susan Stroman together for the first time next spring at the St. James Theatre.
Loaded with big laughs, colorful characters, and the songs that made the 20’s roar, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is ready to bring musical comedy back with a bang.
Now if that doesn't get you excited then I don't know what will. Tickets for the show will go on sale in the next few months so check back here when they do. Get your tickets to see Bullets Over Broadway at the St. James Theatre. I can't wait. Until next time theatre fans.

Miss Saigon To Return To The West End Next Year
Great news theatre fans. One of the world's most successful shows of all time is coming back where it first began. Miss Saigon, which first premiered in London over twenty-four years ago is set to return to the West End in May 2014 at the Prince Edward Theatre. Growing up in Illinois I wasn't exposed to a lot of theatre except for the shows I did in high school and at our local community theatre. Therefore when Miss Saigon first come out I was more than a little intrigued. Well as you can probably guess I loved it. I fact I think I still have an old cassette of the show lying somewhere around my apartment. Now for those of you who never got around to seeing before now is your chance. Well that is if you live in London or are planning a trip there next year. However if it does well and based on the sizable advance the show already has I wouldn't be surprised to see it come to Broadway in the future. We shall see. By the way for those of you looking to purchase tickets for the show you are in luck. In fact not only do we sell tickets to Miss Saigon but every show and event in London. Who knew? Get your tickets to see Miss Saigon at the Prince Edward Theatre next Spring. You will love it.

New Play Outside Mullingar To Open On Broadway This January
A new play by John Patrick Shanley on Broadway? Count me in. Outside Mullingar which begins previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on January 3, 2014 will mark Mr. Shanley's tenth play at Manhattan Theatre Club. Opening night is scheduled for January 23 and the show will run thru March 16. The show which is being directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes stars Tony winner Brian O'Byrne (Doubt, Frozen) and Emmy winner Debra Messing. (Will and Grace, Smash) Here is a brief description about the play from the show's official website.
Tony winner BrÃan F. O’Byrne (Frozen, Doubt, Million Dollar Baby) and Emmy winner Debra Messing (“Will & Grace,” "Smash," Collected Stories) play Anthony and Rosemary, two introverted misfits straddling 40. Anthony has spent his entire life on a cattle farm in rural Ireland, a state of affairs that—due to his painful shyness—suits him well. Rosemary lives right next door, determined to have him, watching the years slip away.
With Anthony’s father threatening to disinherit him and a land feud simmering between their families, Rosemary has every reason to fear romantic catastrophe. But then, in this very Irish story with a surprising depth of poetic passion, these yearning, eccentric souls fight their way towards solid ground and some kind of happiness. Their journey is heartbreaking, funny as hell, and ultimately deeply moving.
Sounds a wee bit interesting right? See what I did there? Pretty clever huh? By the way tickets for the show are now on sale and guess what? We sell them. In fact for most performances we can get you tickets at "Insider Prices". Who doesn't love a bargain? I know I do. Get your tickets to see Outside Mullingar at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Broadway this Winter. Until next time theatre fans.
