Can this season get any better? First it was announced that Rodger's and Hammerstein's beloved classic Carousel was returning to the Great White Way. Not only that, but less than a week later, another landmark musical will return to Broadway for the first time in over two decades.My Fair Lady, which premiered on Broadway over sixty-years ago, is set to begin previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on March 15, 2018, with opening night scheduled for April 19.
The show, which is being directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The King and I), stars Emmy nominee Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), as Eliza Doolittle, and Harry Hadden-Paton(Downton Abbey) as Professor Henry Higgins.
Rounding out the cast are fellow Tony Award winners Diane Rigg (Game Of Thrones, Medea), as Mrs. Higgins, and Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Catch Me If You Can). Some cast huh?
