This new production, which is being directed by seven-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis (Tootsie, She Loves Me), will begin previews at the Hayes Theatre on April 2, 2020, with opening night scheduled for April 23. Starring in the role of baseball player Darren Lemming is Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams. Joining him in the role of friend and teammate Kippy Sunderstorm is Suit's star Patrick J. Adams.
But wait. It gets better. Starring along side them is another television star also named Jesse. That's right. I am talking about Modern Family star and Emmy Award nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson in the role of agent Mason Marzac. Quite the trio huh? So now that you know who's starring in it, I'm guessing you probably want to know what the shows all about right? Well I'll tell you.
Two-time World Series champs the Empires are the toast of the town. Led by star player Darren Lemming, the team, as well as the league in general our thrown into the spotlight with Lemming's recent press conference announcement that he is gay. Now his teammate's who played by his side game after game, are now hesitant to even share a locker with him, let alone the field. Can the champs repeat? Or will the continuing controversy tear this once close team apart? Now for those of you who want tickets to see this award winning play, you are in luck. We sell it. Get your tickets to see Take Me Out on Broadway at the Hayes Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.
