Set against the backdrop of the 1984 miners' strike, Billy Elliot tells the story of one boy's dream to become a ballet dancer and his triumph over adversity. Winner of the 2006 Olivier Award for Best Musical, and featuring music by Tony and Grammy Award winning singer song-writer Elton John, Billy Elliot is poised to be one of the big hits of the 2008-2009 Broadway season.
