Junk To Premier This Fall On Broadway

Junk
Some title huh? I wonder what it could be about? No it’s not set in an old depleted junk yard. Junk, which is written by Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar (Disgraced), takes place during the dog eat dog financial world of the 1980’s. The show, which has been described as a mix between a Shakespearean play and recent Academy Award winning film The Big Short, focuses on America and it’s obsession with money and greed.

Sounds like my kind of show. Previews for the show are set to begin at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on Broadway on October 5, with opening night scheduled for November 2. Directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt), Junk stars Broadway favorite Steven Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County), as financial wizard Robert Merkin. Get your tickets to see Junk on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.
