Tony Award Winning Play Angels In America To Return To Broadway Next Year

Exciting news theatre fans. One of the most critically acclaimed works of the twentieth century is headed back to the New York stage. Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia On National Themes, returns to Broadway for the first time since it’s award winning run in 1993.

 
Split into two parts, Millennium Approaches, and Perestrokia, Angels In America will be begin previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on February 23, 2018, with opening night scheduled for March 21. Tickets for both parts are set to go on sale on October 6.
 
Written by Tony Kushner, and directed by Tony Award winner Marianne Elliott (War Horse, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time), Angels In America stars two-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane as Roy Cohn, and Tony and Oscar nominee Andrew Garfield (Death of a Salesman, Hacksaw Ridge) as Prior Walter. Rounding out the cast are Denise Gough, Susan Brown, James McArdle, Amanda Lawrence, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.
 
Set in the 1980's during the height of the AIDS epidemic, Angels In America focuses on two conflicted couples. One gay, and one straight, as well as famed lawyer and closeted homosexual Roy Cohn, who is diagnosed with the crippling disease. This strictly engagement is scheduled to close on July 1, 2018.
