A Sad Tale Indeed! "Tale of Two Cities" is closing Nov. 16th

Well, is it the current state of the economy or did the vicious critics strike again!? Applause Theatre Service has learned that the epic musical "A Tale of Two Cities" is set to close on November 16th after only 68 performances. I was not a huge fan of the show like most people in my office, but I definitely think it deserves to be seen and should have been given a chance to run for awhile. It's a classic story that immediately draws you in and has good music with some terrific performances. I was a bit in and out with the show but overall, entertained. And I feel that's the most important thing. Now apparently up for grabs is one of the most coveted musical theatre houses on Broadway — the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
So you only have a couple of weeks left to catch this very entertaining show. Most people compare it to "Les Mis", and if you're a fan of that genre, you'll love it!
