A Day In The Life Of A Ticket Broker

Can you believe that Thanksgiving will be here in a little over two weeks? I sure can't. In fact in less then three months I will celebrate living in New York for twenty years. Time sure does fly now doesn't it? Now like most people I cam here to be an actor. Big shock right? Over the years I have changed my career path from actor to director and most recently composer and lyricist. I guess you could say that I do it all. In between all of that I have worked at many different jobs. I have done everything from demonstrating toys at F.A.O. Schwarz to my current job of selling tickets at Applause Theatre Service.

Having worked here for almost eight years now I have literally talked to hundreds of people. From travel agents that have used us for years to people that are using us for the very first time. There is nothing better than helping people experience the magic that is live theatre. Oh sure we offer other things as well. We don't just sell theatre tickets you know. Maybe Broadway is not your thing. There are other things to do in New York. What about tickets to the Opera or ballet? Or maybe your a sports fan like me and cannot wait until basketball season finally starts. Yes I know that is wishful thinking but a boy can dream can't he? See that's what is so great about New York City. There is something to do for everybody. How many other cities can say that? Not too many. Until next time.
