That's right London. An American In Paris is heading your way. The show, which won four 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Choreography, played it's final performance on Broadway this past Sunday. Now it's headed across the pond. Performances are scheduled to begin on March 4, 2017 at the Dominion Theatre. Now having never seen the film I wasn't sure what to expect the night I went to see it.
All I knew was that it had a score by George and Ira Gershwin, who I love, and of course had a lot of dancing. Cut to two and a half hours later and I was in heaven. What an amazing night at the theatre. I only wish I would have gotten to see it again before it closed. Oh well. I guess I could head on over to "Merry Old England" and see it there.
Oh and just in case you needed another reason to see it, it was recently announced that it's two Tony nominated stars, Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope, will be reprising their roles for the London production. It just get's better and better my friends. And did I also mention that we are selling tickets to the show as well? In fact we sell tickets to every show and event in London. Who knew? Get your tickets to see An American in Paris in London. You will love it. Until next time theatre fans.
