Broadway To Go Dark On Election Night

Wait a minute. There's an election coming up? Where have I been? Just kidding. I know there's an election being held next month. And not just any election my friends. In exactly thirty-six days we will be voting to see who will become the next President of the United States.

Image result for presidential election logoNo big deal right? Wrong. This is one of the most important Presidential election's of our lifetime. Maybe that's why most of Broadway has decided to take the night off. Here is a list of the following shows that will not be playing on Election night.

Beautiful
Cats
Chicago
The Encounter
The Front Page
The Humans
Kinky Boots
Les Liaisons Dangereuses
Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812
Oh Hello on Broadway
On Your Feet
Paramour
The Phantom of the Opera
School of Rock
Something Rotten
Waitress
Wicked

Now I know what you're thinking? What is playing? Quite a few actually. Here is that list.

Aladdin
The Book Of Mormon
The Cherry Orchard
The Color Purple
Falsettos
Fiddler on the Roof
Hamilton
Heisenberg
Holiday Inn
Jersey Boys
The Lion King
Matilda

I'm kind of surprised that Hamilton is playing as they have been encouraging people to come to the theatre to register to vote. Oh well. The show is sold out anyway. At least at the theatre. Plus I've already seen most of these shows anyway. Now get out there and vote. Until next time theatre fans.
