That's right theatre fans. The 80's are back. Just kidding. Although with Broadway now home to three Andrew Lloyd Webber shows it sure feels like it now doesn't it? Anyway it was just announced that for the week ending January 1, 2017, Cats, School of Rock, and The Phantom of the Opera all celebrated record breaking sales at the box office. So, how much did each show rake in for last week? Here are the figures.
School of Rock- $2,022,136,11. Previous record was $1,671,628,18 during the same time in 2015.
The Phantom of the Opera-$1,942,351.00. Previous record was $1,843,295.83 during the week ending December 29, 2013.
Cats- $1,723,568.70. Previous record was held by Tony winning play All The Way during it's run in the Spring of 2014.
Pretty impressive sales don't you think? Oh and by the way, we sell tickets to each of those shows. Not only that, but all of them are available at "Insider Prices". Who doesn't love a bargain? I know I do. Get your tickets to see Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, and School of Rock on Broadway. Until next time theatre fans.
