Calling all Parrot Head's. Now for those of you who don't get that reference, Parrot Head is the nickname commonly used for fans of the one and only Jimmy Buffet. Escape To Margaritaville, which features music from the "Cheeseburger In Paradise" singer, is making it's world premier at the La Jolla Playhouse in May 2017, followed by stops in New Orleans, Houston, and Chicago during it's pre-Broadway tour. Here's hoping it's a hit. So what exactly is the show about? Well I'll tell you. Here's a brief synopsis about the show from a production source to give you a little more info. "Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the ocean's warm, and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful.
Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of. This new musical is the story of a part-time bartender, part-time singer, and full-time charmer named Tully who thinks he's got life all figured out. Until a beautiful career-minded tourist steals his heart and makes him question everything."
