Has it really been eleven years since Jersey Boys first opened on the Great White Way? Time sure does fly. Now believe it or not, but when the show was first announced back in 2004, I wasn't too excited. Don't get me wrong. I love the music. It's just that except for Mamma Mia, jukebox musicals didn't have the greatest track record on Broadway. Cut to November 2005, and the show opens up to rave reviews from critic's and audiences alike. Of course it took me over two years to finally get around to seeing it. Like I said. I love the music. It's just that the show had so much hype I was afraid that I was going to be disappointed.
So the big question. Did I like it? No. I loved it. In fact I would put it in my "Top Ten" Broadway shows of all time. Now for those of you who still have not seen this amazing show there is still time. Two weeks to be exact. Plus if you call right now you can get tickets to see this award winning musical at prices that can't be beat.
Be advised that while this "Special Offer" is good thru January 12, it is for select seats only, and as always subject to availability. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre. Final performance is January 15, so don't delay. Until next time theatre fans.
