1984 Now In Previews

That's right theatre fans. The 2017-2108 Broadway season has officially begun. 1984, which opened in London last year to rave reviews, begins performances tonight at the Hudson Theatre, with opening night scheduled for June 22. Now for those of you that don't know, the book, which was written by George Orwell, was published in 1949.

That's thirty-five years before the year in which the story takes place for those of you keeping count. Now I have never read the book. Nor have I seen the 1956 film. That doesn't mean I don't want to see it though. In fact I do. Very much. I wonder how I will get tickets to see it? Just kidding.
