The Bronx is Blooming at the New York Botanical Garden!

The 2017 Tony Nominations have been announced, so there is so much to see and do in NYC right now.  We'll help you with your Broadway show requests.  Call us anytime.

But in the meantime... May I suggest something you may find worthwhile doing, during the daytime. I certainly did at the Botanical Garden.  Since I am a member, I do go quite frequently.  But this time, I'm going to rant and rave about what I saw!

This past weekend, I went to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx (my home,  and of course, home of the New York Yankees The New Botanical Garden is a 250 Acre National Historic landmark landscape, with 50 gardens and some wonderful seasonal events and nature's growth ...  Currently,  there are thousands of different varieties of daffodils, lilac trees in blues, pinks, and lavender color, the azaleas garden and flowering trees such as cherry blossoms and magnolias, to name a few!!  This is worth the trip alone.

Although the blooming was spectacular, I was even more excited to see a Dale Chihuly exhibit.  This beautiful exhibit is going on now through October 22nd. . Explore Art and Glass in Nature with Chihuly!  Dale Chihuly is the world renowned artist who's works of glass art are exhibited all around the world.

His glass works are spread out throughout the gardens and conservatory. There are over 50 pieces to see.  A picture is worth a thousand words… In this case, several of the pictures I took can be worth a thousand words and then some.. I hope you enjoy them and try to get there.  And best of all, it’s only a subway ride away! Take the B or D or 4 line.

(Note: there is a fee or become a member and enjoy the gardens all year round and I suggest you go during the week.  Weekends are very very busy.)

Regards,
Phyllis
