Broadway Revival of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf Announces Theatre

Image result for edward albee's who's afraid of virginia woolf logoThat's right theatre fans. One of this season's most highly anticipated shows has found it's home. Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, which was last revived on Broadway in 2012, is set to begin previews at the Booth Theatre on March 3, 2020, with opening night scheduled for April 9.

Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Wicked), the show stars two-time Tony Award winner Laurie Metcalf, who's role in this production marks her fifth consecutive season on Broadway.

I guess she loves theatre huh? Starring along side Ms. Metcalf is stage and screen star Rupert Everett, who replaces the previously announced Eddie Izzard, as well as Russell Tovey, and 2019 Olivier Award winner Patsy Ferran.

Now for those of you that are not familiar with the show, here is a brief synopsis to tell you a little more. Set over the course of one evening, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, tells the story of long suffering married couple George and Martha, who spend the evening entertaining George's fellow colleague Nick and his wife Honey at their home.

As day turns into night, alcohol, not too mention some hidden secrets soon turn both couples world's upside down. Now that sounds like my type of show. Now for those of you who want tickets to see this classic drama, you are in luck. We sell it. Get your tickets to see Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf of Broadway at the Booth Theatre. Expect the show to be a big contender at next year's Tony Awards. Until next time theatre fans.
