Having been in the ticket selling business for almost twenty years now, I can honestly tell you that January is usually one of the slowest months of the year. Makes sense to me. I mean by the time New Year's Eve comes around I am spent. Both mentally, and more than that, financially.
It's also why January always has the most show closing's than any other time of the year. What can I say? Nothing last's forever. Well maybe except for The Phantom of the Opera, which will probably be here until the apocalypse.
Now having said all that, last month was pretty active. The reason why? Group tickets. In fact in the last few weeks, both of my coworkers have sold group tickets to Dear Evan Hansen, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Play That Goes Wrong, Beetlejuice, Jagged Little Pill, and The Music Man.
That's a lot of tickets my friends.Oh and just in case you were wondering, we sell group ticket to every other Broadway show as well. Off-Broadway too. Not only that, but we are open seven days a week. 365 days a year. That means we are always here to help with all of your ticket needs. So why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did. Until next time theatre fans.
