All Star Cast To Headline The Front Page On Broadway

The Front PageExtra! Extra! Read all about it! One of the theatre's most celebrated play's is heading back to Broadway in a brand new production. The Front Page, which is being directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien (Hairspray, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) is set to begin previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on September 29, with opening night scheduled for October 20. Oh and did I mention the show has an all-star cast? I bet you're wondering who is in it aren't you? Well I won't leave you in suspense. Here you go!

Nathan Lane (Two-time Tony Award winner for The Producer's and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum)

John Slattery (Mad Men)

John Goodman (Roseanne, Waiting For Godot)

Jefferson Mays (Tony winner for I Am My Own Wife, and Tony nominee for A Gentleman's Guide To Love and Murder)

Sherrie Rene Scott (Tony nominee for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Aida)

Holland Taylor (Emmy winner and Tony nominee for Ann)

and last but not least........

Robert Morse (Tony winner for the original production of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying)

Now that's a lot of stars. Rounding out the cast our Dylan Baker, Patricia Conolly, Halley Feiffer, Dann Florek, John Magaro, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Christopher McDonald, David Pittu, Joey Slotnick, Lewis J. Stadlen, Micah Stock, and Clarke Thorell. So now that you know when it's playing. and who it's starring, I'm guessing you probably want to know what it's about right? Well I'll tell you.

Set in the press room of Chicago's Criminal Court Building, The Front Page tells the story of reporter Hildy Johnson (John Slattery) and his news hungry editor (Nathan Lane) who discover a runaway convict. As the hide the man from the news community, they embark on what they hope is the biggest story of their careers.

Sounds like fun to me. By the way, for those of you who want tickets to see The Front Page, you are in luck. We sell it. Be advised that while tickets are available, the show is only scheduled to play thru January 29, 2017.
