David Bowie's Lazarus To Open In London

Sophia Anne Caruso and Michael C. Hall in LazarusNow that my friends is what I call exciting news. Lazarus, which premiered Off- Broadway at the New York Theatre Workshop last November, will begin previews at the King's Cross Theatre on October 25, with opening night scheduled for November 8. It is scheduled to play thru January 22, 2017.

I had the pleasure of seeing the show a few days before it closed. Now I knew going in it was going to be interesting. However due to the untimely death of David Bowie, the show was more emotional that I or anyone could have expected. I'll never forget the sound of a young man sitting behind me weeping as Michael C. Hall sang "Heroes". It was something that I will never forget.

As I left the theatre that afternoon, I knew that I had witnessed something extraordinary. However I knew that no matter how good the show was, it would probably not be a good fit for Broadway. In fact later that night, I told my friend that it would be perfect for London. Looks like I was right. Now for those of you that are not familiar with the show, it is actually based on a novel by Walter Trevis called The Man Who Fell To Earth.

The musical tells the story of Thomas Newton, an alien who lives on earth, unable to die. Throughout his journey he meets a young girl who while human is on a similar path of destruction and despair. At least that's the way I saw it. In fact days after I saw it I was still talking about it. I wish all shows were like that. Tickets for the show are now on sale. Not only that but we will be selling them.

Just give us a call and we will do the rest. It's that easy. Oh and one more thing. Michael C. Hall, along with his young co-star Sophia Anne Caruso are reprising their roles for the London production. It just get's better and better my friends. Get your tickets to see Lazarus at the King's Cross Theatre in London. It is one show that you do not want to miss. Until next time theatre fans.
