Believe it or not, but until last year I had never seen a show at Radio City Music Hall. I take that back. I did see Cheap Trick and Squeeze in 2009. However there were no Rockettes in that one. Now that would have been interesting don't you think? So anyway, in April 2015, I got the chance to see Radio City's latest creation, The Radio City Spring Spectacular, which also featured the world famous Rockettes.So there I sat in the rear of the Orchestra waiting for the show to start, not really knowing what to expect. Cut to two hours later and I was enthralled. What a great show. Not only that but it is the perfect show for the whole family. So what exactly is this new version about? Set in New York City during the dog day's of Summer, The New York Spectacular tells the story of two kids who travel to the Big Apple on vacation with their family.
Soon after their arrival, they are separated from their parents. As the wander the streets, the city comes to life guiding them on a journey that they will never forget. Kind of reminds me of Home Alone 2 to me. Which by the way is one of my favorite movies. By the way, for those of you who want tickets to see the show you are in luck. We sell it.
