Let me just start off by saying that I am a huge Laura Linney fan. Which is why you might find it surprising that I have never seen her on stage. Weird right? Here's hoping I will finally get my chance with her latest production.My Name Is Lucy Barton, adapted by Rona Munro, from Elizabeth Strout's best selling novel, tells the story of Lucy Barton, who after awakening from an operation, is startled by the sudden appearance of her mother.
Over the course of several days, the two begin to reconnect, after years of not speaking to one another. Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee Richard Eyre, this new solo play, is scheduled to open at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on January 15, and play thru February 29. By the way, for those of you who want tickets to see the show, you have come to the right place. We sell it.
