O.K. I'll admit it. I loved The Notebook. What can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic. Featuring a score by Platinum selling recording artist Ingrid Michaelson, and a book by writer and producer Bekah Brunstetter (This Is Us), The Notebook is scheduled to begin performances at The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare on September 6, 2020 and play thru November 8. Directing the show is four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Grief (Dear Evan Hansen, Rent).Published in 1996, the Nicholas Sparks novel debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List in it's first week in release. And while the 2004 film received mixed reviews, it was a hit at the box office, and won multiple awards including eight Teen Choice Awards.
