So here I sit on a cold Sunday morning trying to figure out something to blog about. Oh sure I guess I could talk about Spider-Man and all it's problems. Been there. Done that. Maybe I could write about Jersey Boys or Rock of Ages. Now while both shows are personal favorites of mine there is only so much you can write about them week after week without sounding repetitive.
Therefore I would like to talk about something else today. Being in the profession I am in I talk to different people every day. From travel agents to regular people who are looking to get the best seats at the best price. Makes sense right? Broadway tickets are expensive. Especially in the last few years. We all know that. The thing is it wasn't always like that.
However there is hope on the horizon. If you want to save money you have to be willing to do a little homework. Take your time and shop around a little bit. Eventually you will find a price that works for you. Now I know that Applause is not the only game in town. We are one of many licensed ticket agents in New York City. That will never change.
There will always be somebody else out there that says that their tickets are better or that they have lower prices than anybody else. I can't change that. Nor would I want too. All I can tell you is that when you call Applause not only are you getting someone that knows what they are talking about but honestly wants to give you the best deal they can..
Now you don't have to tell me how lucky I am that I get to live and work in one of the greatest cities in the world. Some people will never get the chance to experience New York or a Broadway show for that matter. For some it will be a once in a lifetime experience. Therefore wouldn't you want to make sure it is one that you will remember for the rest of your life? It's your money after all. Until next time theatre fans.
